After placing her bookbag on the bleachers, Ann-Marie took a seat, glancing towards the football field. It looked as if the track and field team, football team, and soccer team were all doing some sort of competition against each other instead of their regular practices. Weird, she thought, turning her attention back to her bookbag. Looking at it reminded her again to ask her parents to take her to the DMV. Three years had passed by, and she still didn't have her license. Because she had no license, Ann-Marie was a regular bleacher attendee, but only because her parents couldn't pick her up from school until an hour after she got out. She exhaled loudly and pulled out a pencil and her math notebook. Math sucks, she thought, after looking over the problems a few times. Ann-Marie was a straight A student, but only because it was expected of her. Almost anyone knew she hated school, and almost everyone in it. She only had a few friends, and even her 'friends' didn't know her that well. She was an outsider, but somehow she enjoyed it. Biting the end of her pencil, she glanced up for the slightest moment, paying attention to the mayhem of competitive high school boys.

Alexia sat on the bleachers, eyes following the scrolls of text in front of her. The pages were a light beige-Ivory color tinted dark around the edges. The corners of the pages were rounded and soft with years of worn. A lock of honey, sun kissed, blonde hair tumbled over her shoulder and into her view, blocking the words. She brushed back the lock with a light hand. She pulled her backpack toward her and slipped the book in, slightly annoyed that she'd finished the book. The ending was less than she expected as well. She often had her head in a book or was alone in her free time; she didn't have any friends, well she had a few, but they didn't feel like friends. Alexia knew that people were comfortable around their friends, but she never was and she never really felt like she fit in. She only had two true friends and one lived across the country, the other half the distance, so she really only talked to them via Skype. She had her own car, a silver Honda Civic. Her parents had paid for half of it and she paid the other half. Alexia preferred to stay after school a bit; more of a procrastination than anything.

AnnMarie looked away from the competive boys, glancing around elsewhere for a mintute or two. She realized there was someone else there, her head tilting to the side as she didn't recognize the girl at all. Trying not to look weird, she gathered her stuff and got up, turning towards this unfamiliar, pretty girl. "Mind if I sit with you?" She questioned, giving a genuine smile.

Alexia looked up as a girl made her way over and asked to sit. "Sure." She replied after a moment. She finished her book so it was something to do at least. This girl looked faintly familiar, maybe she'd passed her recently on school grounds? Whatever, she couldn't recall the girl's name, so Alexia decided it didn't matter why she looked the slightest bit familiar. "I'm Alexandria Valentino, but it's easier to just call me Alexia." She introduced. It was Alexia's last year of Highschool and she couldn't help but wonder what year this girl was.

"AnnMarie," She smiled, "It's nice to meet you." AnnMarie responds, taking a seat next to her. "Are you being held captive too or is this your hangout spot?" Letting out a small laugh, she looked at the girl, curious of her answer.

"Unique name. Nice to meet you too." Alexia smiled before thinking about Ann's next question. "This is the only place that wasn't crowded, but ta not really my hangout spot. As for being held captive? Yeah - that is, if you can consider procrastination my captor." She responded lightly.

AnnMarie laughed, "Senioritis?" She smirked, understanding Alexia to a T. She could easily be doing her math homework right now, but what's better than math homework? Socialization. Which in AnnMarie's opinion, was rare for her to take part in at school.

"Exactly." Alexia replied with amusement laced in her voice. "What about you?" She asked, wondering why AnnMarie hadn't left yet either. Her light blue eyes watched Ann, tuning out the sounds of chaos the boys were creating in the field. She wasn't much into sports.

Do you wanna do fxf or just friends? )
"I'm not allowed to get my license till I turn 18, so my parents have to pick me up after school. I'm generally on campus an hour longer than I should be." AnnMarie rolled her eyes just the slightest, obviously annoyed about her parents strictness, "You'd think I'd get a lot done in that hour but I generally never do homework." She chuckled softly, catching Alexia's gaze.

(I'm not gay irl, but I think I could do a half decent job at fxf. Whatever you prefer really)
"That must suck. My parents arent very strict, yet they still find ways to annoy me." Alexia laughed before continuing. "I finish a lot of my homework during class, but what I don't finish I do before I fall asleep. Math is probably my worst subject, but I don't have to take it this year so that's a blessing."

I'm not either xD, but I haven't done that so it'd be new for me! )
AnnMarie nodded in understanding, "My homework is normally done hours before the due date. Something I'm not the proudest of," She smirked, "But I thoroughly blame senioritis." AnnMarie glanced towards the field, not interested in what they were doing at all. She quirked an eyebrow at her own thoughts...she was talking to someone...about her life...and she was enjoying it?

"I don't think I could with the stress." Alexia laughed. She followed Ann's gaze to the field and let a few moments of silence settle between them before continuing. "It's hard to find someone who listens and seems to actually care. Most of the time, I feel my friends don't even hear a word I say." She confided. She didn't know why she was admitting it, maybe because she didn't know Ann very well. Most times she didn't let herself have those types of feelings, she felt it was just to cliche, but every now and then she let the feelings soak in and regret it later.

Ann turned her attention back to Alexia, "I feel the same way," She spoke softly, fiddling with her thumbs, "I've never really taken the time to get to know anyone here." She admitted, taking a second to realize she had actually said that out loud. AnnMarie smiled sheepishly, looking over at Alexia.

"I'm the same. I think it's more of a trust issue than anything. Always wondering what they think of me and if they'll just decide to leave." Alexia confided before quickly adding. "Not that I care much, I've always got other things to keep me occupied. Like books and writing." The only things that'll really listen. Gosh, I sound totally stupid and like I'm wallowing in self pity. I must be annoying her. She dared to return her gaze to Ann.

"I don't think I've ever related so much to something," AnnMarie laughed softly, catching Alexia's gaze, "How have we not spoken to each other before?" She smiled, looking into her eyes as she spoke.

"I don't know. Sounds like we both don't know a lot of people so I wouldn't be surprised if we're in the same class without knowing it." Alexia mused. She couldn't take her eyes away from Ann's, it was like her gaze was glued there.

"Alright, let me find it." Alexia agreed, turning her head down to look into her backpack as she rummaged through her books. She pulled out a folded piece of paper and unfolded it. She moved a little closer to Ann and leaned in, holding her schedule next to Ann's. (Sorry I hadn't posted, but I'm here now)

AnnMarie took the time to find her schedule as well as Alexia did with hers. When she found it, and Alexia had leaned in, she held it up next to hers. Ann glanced over it a few times, acknowledging the fact that they had 3 classes together this semester. "What are the odds!" She smiled, looking at Alexia. Their closeness didn't scare AnnMarie, in fact, she enjoyed it. The idea of how naturally comfortable around her peer was the only thing scaring her.
( you're fine! how was your new years? c: )

(I didn't go anywhere for New Years but I took a two hour log bath and my parents got mad XD but I also got chocolate so it's been good. What about you?)
"Hey, our last class is one of them! We could hang out after school some times!" Alexia pointed to the last class on their papers. She felt so comfortable and happy around AnnMarie, something she hadn't felt in forever. Alexia caught Ann's gaze and she couldn't help herself. She gently took Ann's chin in her hand and tilted her face so she could stare into the hues that seemed to glow with Ann's happiness. She looked at the pattern and color variations in Ann's eyes. "You're eyes are so pretty, Ann." She breathed before her face flushed. Alexia pulled away in embarrassment. "Sorry, I just...." Her voice trailed away at a loss for words, body hot with embarrassment.

( i didn't go anywhere, and i actually took a bath too xD it was a pretty relaxing day actually! )
AnnMarie grinned in excitement, "That would be so fun!" She exclaimed, suddenly caught off guard as Alexia cupped her chin, causing her to stare right back into her eyes. As she did so, Ann's face turned tomato red. No one had ever done that to her...not that she didn't like it. "Don't worry about it." AnnMarie smiled softly, although her red cheeks showed how flustered she was internally. She leaned over and gave Alexia's thigh a gentle pat, "It happens to the best of us." She giggled. AnnMarie was horrible at making awkward situations comfortable, but she hoped she had somewhat helped Alexia feel less embarrassed.

Alexia lit up when Ann said it was okay. She was so relieved that Ann didn't think she was weird, but she was sure she already knew Ann wouldnt think that. "I know, since tomorrow's Friday and a half day we could get lunch, takes walk and finish the day by renting a karaoke room. Sound fun?" She asked. She knew her parents wouldn't mind if she stayed out with a friend the next day.

"I'd love that, Alexia! I think that would be really fun." AnnMarie smiled, already a little too excited for the next day. She normally did nothing over the weekends, and could feel so much excitement burning in her chest. Something about this girl, AnnMarie didn't know what, but she wanted to find out what was so intriguing about her.

"Great! I've got to go now, but one more thing. Would you prefer me call you Ann or Mari (mm-are-E)?" Alexia asked happily, getting up and pulling her backpack over her shoulders, her schedule tucked back into one of its pockets.
(After your nest post should we skip to the next day?)

"Ann! I respond to that more." She smiled, looking up at Alexia. AnnMarie still had yet to hear from her parents, causing a hint of sadness to hit her. She wasn't ready for her new friend to leave just yet. "Hey! Alexia, I'm really glad we met."
(Sure!)

Alexia was buzzing with excitement. Since it was a half day, all their classes were a lot shorter. She looked up at the clock before looking toward Ann who sat a few seats in front of her and one to the left. Ding. Ding. Ding. Alexia got up from her seat and slung the backpack over her shoulders, walking over to her friend's desk. "Ready Ann? I'm so excited." She said happily, smiling.
