Blake was asking himself the same question as the obviously very angry fire elemental questioned him. He was once again questioning why he had ever considered that this might be a good idea and more importantly why Thea had. He knew he'd have to answer quickly to avoid becoming crispy. "Well uh, I'm- You see- Thea thought..." He knew he sounded stupid and gathered himself. "Thea told me to come so she could ask something. I'm not an Elemental." Blake finally managed to get out. Was it hot out here? Oh wait yes it was but that wasn't the only reason he was starting to sweat a bit. He normally wasn't a nervous kind of person but he figured he could be forgiven for being jittery in these circumstances.

Thea shouldn't have asked him to come, not while the country was like this. But it was a bit late for that now, there wasn't a way to turn back time. That she knew of anyway. Her father lowered his hand and looked at Blake through narrowed eyes. He was silent for what felt like hours, but it had only been a few moments. "Whether you speak the truth or not, I do not know. You and my daughter will speak to me about what you wish to. But be warned, try anything, and so help me God you will not leave without a broken spine." The chieftain's jaw clenched before he relaxed it and turned around to his house and beckoned them inside. Thea followed obediently, and breathed a sigh of relief that her father had not killed Blake or ordered him to be killed. She put her hand on Blake's arm to guide him through the house which seemed almost like a small castle in itself. Her father quickly lead the two of them to the dining room and sat down at the head of the table like he usually did. Thea let go of Blake and sat down a seat away from her father, with Blake next to her. "What matters is it you wish to discuss?" Her father asked

Blake at this point didn't particularly wish to discuss ANY matter. However now that he was settled down and not under imminent threat of death he was a bit more relaxed as he sat down next to Thea. "My name is Blake Smith, I am a blacksmith in town." He decided against mentioning his employer as he didn't know where her clan stood with the castle. "Thea asked me to come with her to talk with you about her gaining employment at my families forge." Blake explained, he wasn't sure if that was too blunt but he was trying to get this matter over quickly.

Thea's father appeared to be taking in every word of what Blake. Thea figured he was debating whether or not to ask if this was a trick. However, he didn't say yes or no. He only raised an eyebrow, "Did you come up to my daughter with this offer?" He then knit his brows together and looked at Blake up an down suspiciously. Thea figured he had every right to do so, but she wanted for Blake to not feel as if he was going to die any minute now

Just a suggestion: What if the non-elementals took part in the civil war? I don't know if I would want my character to do that but it's something.)

Without waiting for a reply from the girl in the shadows, Liz turned to look at the scene going on before her. These people are so rich, she thought. They must have something valuable on them. Maybe some food at least. But this pompous noble was surrounded by guards. If they caught her trying to steal from him-and they certainly would-then she expected they would cut her down on the spot. What if I just pickpocket the servants in the back? They did appear to have food. She stared at them. She had small doubt that she could get away with it, but it was worth a shot. She was so desperate, she would probably be fine with risking her life for some food or gold. I've dealt with bandits, how could these guys be so different? If they attack, maybe I can just run. Making her decision, she began walking slowly towards the guard behind the noble, trying not to attract attention to herself.
(Mind if I try to bring Eric back into the rp?)

(Blake is neutral but he works for the king so the fact that the queen is a fire elemental probably puts him slightly on their side) (Eric himself is neutral due to him being a bit too aloof to care but his family is aligned with the Talvi) (Aylin is neutral but mainly because she is more than willing to play the sides against each other.)
"No sir, we just... came upon the subject while having lunch. My father just liked the idea after we brought it to him and that's how it came about. I'm not the one who does hiring." Blake explained, he was feeling a bit more reassured by the more measured tone that her father was using. He didn't SEEM like he wanted to kill him. Blake honestly didn't blame him for his suspicion though. Especially with how the kingdom was.

I suppose Lizbeth would be neutral because she doesn't really care about the power struggle, though she may side with the Talvi if she believes that the eldest son should be king, regardless of elemental status. Demeter probably wouldn't even know much about the civil war at all since she stays secluded, and even if she did, being a Nature elemental would probably keep her neutral.)
Oh and thanks Lion)
Liz tied her hair back. She would need that messy hair out of her face if she wanted to do this right. She slid into the crowd of people, ignoring the disgusted comments and the fact that some people were moving away from her. The reactions were expected; she hadn't bathed in awhile. She hoped it wouldn't attract too much attention from the noble's servants though. She could see one of them now, their back to her. Now was her chance. She snuck up behind the servant and slipped her hand in their pockets, searching for anything she could find.

{You can obviously tell that Thea is on the Liekki side XD} David, Thea's father, took a few moments of contemplating before uttering a word. The way Blake had so quickly tried to cover his own rear must have thrown him off a bit. She knew her father well enough by this point, and knew the little things he did as he thought about certain things. "What did my daughter tell you she can do?" His tone was low, inquisitive as well as intimidating.

Now Baldrick wasn't the most intelligent man but he prided himself on keeping clean. The town itself had a mixture of aromas and scents but when a new one came up without the wind changing direction he started to think something might be up. "Staiphan, do'y reckon something might be off?" He asked the servant beside him not noticing the girl going through his pockets, he didn't have much in them that would interest her but there were a few silver coins mixed along with the little bits of string and a small wooden horse.
"Now why would you ask that? Our lord's gettin the respect he be entitled to and the guards be watchin round. Don't see how sumthin could be appnen." Staiphan replied. Not looking to his fellow servant as he watched for the signal that it was time to start moving again.
Jake was turning his horse to give just that order when he saw a girl picking into simple Baldrick's pockets. "You there. What do you think you're doing?" He shouted at her.
Eric thought he was just talking to one of the servants and payed no mind to what was happening.

Blake started to feel a bit concerned by the long silence and the tone that came out afterwards was more than a little intimidating. "She said she could keep a fire going, soften metal, work with heat. That sort of thing." Blake said, trying to remember any other claims she had made as to avoid not telling the full and whole truth. He could think of nothing else however and had to satisfy himself with that answer.

David gave a bewildered look to Thea, "That's it?" He motioned to Blake, "Either you're not telling him something or you are just disappointing me with your lack of knowledge and strength on your powers." Thea gave her father a look that seemed both angry and confused, "What do you mean?" What did he mean, is that it? She can do more, but what else would be relevant to a blacksmith forge? Not much, unless Blake just liked to watch tricks with fire and watch her do different attacks with them. David didn't look very pleased with her answer. "You can't completely melt metal yet?" Thea looked slightly downcast and then her eyes flicked back up to her father. "No." She gripped the arms of the dining room chair until her knuckles nearly turned white. "Well then maybe you should take the job. You might actually learn something for once." Her father's tone was harsh and almost in a growl. David didn't seem even really care anymore that Blake was there, he was only angry at his daughter. Thea's lips were pressed in a tight line and clenched her jaw hard. However, it was obvious she was angry, there seemed to be a real fire in her eyes. "Away with you then. She can take the job. My guards will escort you." He motioned them to the door and Thea stood up without another word.

Lol the servants XD)
Liz looked up, startled, to see that the guard's question was directed at her. She quickly pulled her hand out of the servant's pocket, feeling only a few strings and some coins in her clenched hand. She would have asked what in the underworld was that wooden thing in his pocket, but felt that now was not the time. She bolted away with what she had, honestly surprised that she had gotten this far.

"Give him my sympathies, I know how it feels. My cat died just four months ago." Eric said with a bit more sympathy before turning his head back to he couple and child who had started this. They obvious had been too frightened to try running off. "Now then, simple apology and we'll all be on our way." Eric said to them waving his hand to dismiss the previous matter. They quickly did so and ran off forgetting their initial quest for coins. (sorry, didn't know you replied. ^-^") Ryan went back inside the forge, however him and Ollie worked in silence from then on. (I just couldn't think...sorry... -_-")

"Stop Theif!" Jake shouted seeing her hand leave Baldrick's pocket. He couldn't leave where he was however as that would leave Eric undefended.
Eric of course had different things in mind, at Jake's shout he turned and noticed the figure bolting away. It wasn't hard to guess that she was the one his guard was yelling about and he decided to take matters into his own hands. He quickly turned his horse and gave it a kick, starting the chase after her. Leaving poor Jake and Alric to hastily try and get their own mounts to follow him.

Blake instinctively wanted to try and defend her but his common sense won out. He didn't know the situation here and he could only cause more trouble by speaking up. So instead he just stood and walked out the door, trying not to look at Thea in order to try and spare her some embarrassment.
(hmmm I'll try to think of something)
