- - Cordelia Today was the day. The day Cordelia had been fearing for weeks. The day she moved into an apartment with complete and utter strangers. Strangers. It was exciting and absolutely terrifying. Who would she be living with? What were they like? What were they studying? Did she already know some of them? (Unlikely but possible). Would they like her? And most importantly: would they all get along? It was thoughts like these that kept the girl planted firmly in the seat of her car, refusing to get out and face her reality. She simply sat there, hands gripping the steering wheel tightly, with her radio playing some of her favourite tunes in an attempt to steady her rapidly beating heart.
Finally, an eternity later, Cordelia stepped out of the car and looked up at the building that she would now call her home (with 10-11 other people). It wasn’t a very big building, maybe a few storeys high, but judging by the busy and bustling entrance, many students lived here and were moving in for the upcoming semester as well. After choosing a box filled with her textbooks and binders, the young college student entered the building.
Her first challenge: Stairs or elevator? Both were busy, but the thought of walking up several flight of stairs many times today was very unappealing so she slipped into the elevator just as the door was closing. It was tightly packed with things and people but luckily at each floor a few trickled out, leaving only one other person in the elevator when it reached her floor. The excitement and anxiety returned full force when the girl exited the elevator and peered down the doors that lined the walls. Sucking in a deep breath, the girl balanced her box in one hand and peered down at the number she had written on the other. Just a few steps down the hall and she was there. Her new home. This was it. And the door was open…? This sent another wave of uncertainty. She hadn’t expected her suitemates would already be there. Should she knock? Just walk right in? Not wanting to startle or annoy her new roommates, she settled on hovering by the open door, box of school supplies in hand.

Snapping out of her daze, Eve looked around to see she was completely alone. Quickly picking up her bags, she hurried to find her flat and new flatmates, or roommates or whatever people in the states called it. "Cain?" She called, looking for her newly acquired companion. Slowly, she came to a halt and realized she was completely lost already. "Hello? Anyone?"

Cain heard her calling and laughed lightly, poking his head out of the room. 'I'm in here, Eve. I thought this room would be large enough for the two of us. I haven't put anything away yet, you can sort out your things first if you'd like.' He gave her a warm smile and retreated back inside, plopping himself on his bed again.

Smiling, she followed Cain and spun in a circle, quickly taking in the room. "It's perfect." She breathed, setting her stuff down on the unclaimed bed. "Now I must warn you, this is quite literally all I have, I was backpacking this summer and couldn't quite fit much besides necessities and the price to ship things from the UK to here is unbelievable."

'Really?' He asked, blinking at her with surprise. 'My pa is bringin up the rest of my things tomorrow.' He told her, smiling slightly. 'You go backpacking?'

"Every summer since secondary school, normally just around Europe and Asia. This time I even went down to Australia and New Zealand, both lovely but very hot." She rested her hands on her hips and said, "So how many people do you think we'll be living with? This apartment is massive."

'Judging from the amount of rooms and the size of the suite, I'm going to guess around ten people.' Cain told her, looking suddenly anxious again. He really hoped he wouldn't end up being shoved to the side like he usually was in large groups of people. 'Have you managed to get a job around here yet?' He asked her, as he pulled out his iphone and began to scroll through his emails. 'I managed to nab a day-job at the coffee shop down the road, and a night-job at the pub a block over.' He said, showing her their locations on his phone. 'There's also an ice rink fifteen minutes walk from here, and deeper into town they've got a huge shopping area with a cinema.' He grinned widely. 'There's tonnes of stuff to do.'

(I like how everyone's characters are socializing, and Teddy finds pleasure in shutting himself in his room early. He'll eventually have to make friends anyway though x3)

"Well I've had a few offers but none have caught my interest so far." Smiling, she quickly let out a gasp and rushed to her duffel bag, rooting through the contents before pulling our a cardboard box. Peeling the tape off, she pulled the packing peanuts and bubble wrap off before letting out a sigh of relief; its contents had survived the trip.

Cain blinked, alarmed at her panicked gasp, nervously holding his phone to his chest as he watched her. 'Are... you okay, Eve?' He awkwardly asked, wondering what was in the box that had her so worried. He tugged his suitcase onto the bed, figuring he should start unpacking.

Nodding, she carefully lifted up her playbills and said, "Forgive me, I just needed to make sure they were okay, it's taken me quite sometime to collect all of these." Setting them back in the box, she hummed happily before walking out of the door without another word; she didn't have much to unpack and she thought it was the perfect time to explore and hunt down the rest of her roommates.

Cain awkwardly watched her leave, then inwardly shrugged; he was just fine being left on his own, if he was honest. He preferred it. He began to unpack his few things, placing books on shelves on his side of the room and the minor amount of clothing he'd brought. He suddenly began to wonder whether they'd be cooking for the suite, or just for themselves. He frowned a little. There would certainly be a lot of people to cook for, that was for sure.

Spencer was in the suite and was organizing his boxes so they’d be easier to unpack. While he was rearranging the boxes, his mind wandered to the woman who’d refused his help moments ago. She probably hadn’t meant for her challenge to be funny, but to him, it was hilarious, and different. Most women did not refuse help from Spencer Wrey, and she was one of the few that have done so in his life. She could’ve bitten his head off, (she certainly looked like the type to do so), and he was glad that she didn’t.
As he was finishing up, he heard a semi-crash outside. He rose from the floor, ran a hand through his dark messy hair, and went to find the source of the noise. He went towards the stairs and saw that the woman he’d seen moments before was distraught and her arms were box-less, and the six boxes were on the floor, scattered between three women, as he’d predicted. The two other girls were new ; one was a redhead and the other one was a brunette.
I suppose I’ll help them out. Have nothing to do anyways.
His long legs took him down the steps quickly as he grinned towards the woman from earlier.
“Are you still sure you don’t need help with your boxes?” He grinned in a teasing manner at the woman. He loved to tease, and he always was reprimanded by his mother and his sisters at home. He was very certain that women hated being teased, but Spencer couldn’t help it. It was too much fun for him to see them worked up about nothing.
