"Okay, sure. I'll see you guys there," Trix replied, leaving as she headed out to get into her car. It wasn't a long drive, so she suspected it would be fine for the boys to follow her there. Luckily it wouldn't take too long to get there, and she could rely on the lab being pretty much empty when they got there. She hated working in a crowded lab, and with the other two there the lab would likely be quite full enough for Trix's liking anyway, so she didn't need any other people added to the mix

Cain smiled and headed down to his bike, tugging on his helmet and waiting for the others. He'd drive between them; he severely hoped teddy wouldn't decide to run him over. More than once he'd escaped being driven over by idiot truck-drivers on the road, and he had a bit of a thing against them.

(Alright :3)
Eventually they arrived at their destination. And no, Teddy didn't manage to murder Cain on the road. Unlike many morons, he knew what driving was. After parking, he climbed out of his silver truck, and waited for the others to join him from their vehicles as well, playing with his stalk-styled hair as he did.

Cain slid his legs off of his bike and removed his helmet, shaking out his hair movie-girl-style. He headed over, smiling shyly. 'I'm kinda intrigued.' He said, examining the building before looking at Trix and grinning. 'You won't go mad-scientist on me and make me drink anything evil, will you?'

Trix got out of her own car, approaching Teddy as she waited for Cain to arrive too. She'd never taken anyone to the lab with her before and she was a little bit nervous that she would end up ruining something and embarrassing herself, but she told herself that she'd been just fine. She'd never made a mistake before. Well, okay, that was a lie, she made mistakes all of the time…
When Cain approached and asked if she would make him drink anything evil, she laughed "Use the words 'mad scientist' again and I just might."

Cain grinned as she said this to him, then stretched his arms above his head, crop top riding up over his torso. 'Shall we go in then?' He asked, dropping his arms and walking over to her, happy to just follow and let her lead.

"Sure," Trix replied, heading towards the door and letting the others follow.
After walking down a few corridors, she pushed open a door to reveal a laboratory. Good - it was empty.
It was full of equipment, making various noises, and bottles of various chemicals were kept in cupboards and on shelves. Trix moved to a bench and then got out her notes, onto a page filled with tables, where she was recording various results. She moved to the back of the lab, opening a machine and reaching in to grab a few petri dishes, putting them on the bench before grabbing some bottles filled with different liquids. On everything were labels with her full name on them - lots of other people used this lab and she didn't want people mistaking her things for theirs.

Teddy had followed Trix into the lab. He made sure not to touch anything that had names or important looking labels that probably claimed whatever item. Still, he carefully poked around, taking a look at everything. He said as he looked around "It's been a while since I've been in a lab, but not too long. You won't need to worry about me breaking anything." Yeah, he didn't need or want that kind of attention.

Sup, ambii?))
Cain looked around and nodded as she told him to not touch anything; he wouldn't want to anyways, though he supposed he would say the same about his musical equipment if ever he brought some of his new friends to his band's studio. Speaking of which, he should probably check that they were still on for tomorrow night. He'd do that later, during his hour after the coffee shop; he'd have plenty of time then to sort things out.

"Okay, this won't be anything too exciting, but I promise we can explode some stuff later," Trix began as she arranged her equipment around her.
She lifted the lid on one of the petri dishes, using a metal loop to apply a little piece of each liquid into the bacteria culture in the dish, sterilising the loop in the flame of a Bunsen burner between each application.
She would just have to wait a while now and record her observations. Then she could move on to the next culture. She just had to see which liquids killed which bacteria and decide which one was best to use.

Cain satisfied himself with just wandering around after watching her, glancing out of the window before returning and pulling up a chair to sit on and watch. He pulled out his phone, scrolling through his instagram. 'What's Marsen doing in Italy?' He mumbled to himself. 'I thought he was training in China this year... no way can he afford a holiday on top of that.' He tapped his chin and continued to scroll, now checking up on his band mates and smiling at the twins, who appeared to have spent the day at a theme park.

She didn't think of college as chaos, in fact she enjoyed the structure and also the opportunity to learn something new. "I'm quite excited to get started if I'm honest." She admitted a little shyly. He asked about her hours at the coffee shop. "No I'll just make sure to schedule shifts when I'm free, most evenings and maybe early mornings. I can't afford to cut my hours." She admitted, possibly the first time she had let slip of her concerns over money. "I expect it's going to be a very busy semester. But I think its going to be fun." She said with a chuckle.
Devin smirked at her, tilting his head to the side. "Well, that's good." He paused for a few moments, before he continued. "I understand. It stinks when you have to worry about making enough money, on top of college." With a sigh, he brushed out a few wrinkles on his t-shirt. "I think it'll be fun as well. I always found college agreeable." He explained, pushing himself up into a standing position. He wandered over to the kitchen to get some sort of drink. Slipping back inside the room, he paused by the doorway. Leaning against it, he asked. "I always dislike asking people about themselves. It just seems...weird?" He shrugged. It was generally understood that that was what people had to do in order to get to know someone better, or interact with them. "So, other than hockey...what else do you like doing?" He raised an eyebrow.

Teddy acknowledged Trix's words with a small noise of some sort, still browsing around in his curiosity. Eventually, like Cain, he came to sit and watch her work around. What she was doing wasn't entirely boring, as there could be much less interesting things done in a lab. Still, it wasn't the most interesting task either, so he also resorted to occupying himself, checking his media or playing a few rounds of Crossy Road at a time.

Once she had done all Petri dishes, she recorded a few things down in her notebook. She cleared her things away again, before leaning against a bench and looking at the two guys. She'd check them in a few hours and record her results
"Okay, boys, who wants to blow some stuff up? Or we could superheat a knife and cut some stuff up?" She asked with a cheeky smile and one eyebrow raised "I've got some time and it's not a lab visit if I don't make a burn mark somewhere"
Truth be told, she didn't want the visit to be boring, and a controlled explosion seemed like a good way to do it. So she might as well have a little fun

'Why would you willingly blow something up?' Cain asked, smiling warily at her. 'What are you, a pyrotechnic?' He grinned, stuffing his phone in his jean pocket. 'Go on then, as long as you don't set the place on fire.' He laughed.

Devin didn't mind being questioned about things either, and in fact, had hoped that she would ask him questions. So he wouldn't have to ask her anymore. He observed the girl for a few silent moments, before a toothy grin slowly spread across his face. "That sounds interesting. One of my sisters actually tried doing that with one of our dogs. In the backyard." He shrugged. "But it didn't last long. She claimed that it was harder than it looked." He peered down at the drink in his hand, giving it a small swirl. At the mention of singing, he abruptly looked up. "Our family was big into music as well. We were homeschooled, and like your mother, our mother made us do the same thing." He paused, taking a step away from the door. "I never enjoyed it as a child, but now I do."
Clearing his throat, he made his way over to the other couch. Sitting down, he turned towards her. "I bet you have a wonderful voice. You should sing for us sometime." He grin widened. "You, Cain, Eve, and Teddy." He mused. He grew silent after that, staring at the floor absentmindedly. Suddenly he glanced back up, and inquired. "Hey, wanna do something? I'm bored, though I know you've had a long day. We could order pizza or something, and play a game. Or go out somewhere." Devin wasn't such a big pizza eater, but he figured that most people enjoyed it, so it was safe to mention.

"Yeah its not an easy thing to learn but there wasn't a lot to do where I grew up so I taught myself. Having an incredibly smart dog helps." She said with a chuckle, there was something about Devin that she liked. Much like herself he didn't seem too comfortable talking to people and even though they were happy to do so they would be happy to refrain. Yet she enjoyed his presence, he was nice to talk to and actually showed an interest, whether that was just politeness she was yet to discover but she would enjoy it whilst it lasted.
She smiled as he shared a little of his childhood, she could almost imagine it. "Were you forced to learn an instrument? Piano was mine." She said with a smile, remembering those painful hours sat with her back perfectly straight, fingers running over the ivory keys. Her cheeks coloured as he mentioned her singing voice and suggested that she sing for them. She shook her head, fringe falling over her eyes, she didn't think much of her voice but the real reason she wouldn't sing was a rather terrible case of stage fright. "I don't really sing for anyone." His offer to do something bought the smile back to her lips. "Did you have any games in mind? She said with a smirk, she enjoyed games very much.
