She was standing, bags in hand, when she heard the door to the stairwell open. A young man strode past her, seeming to be around the same age as she. She wasn't able to get a good enough look, but judging by what she'd seen, he was rather attractive. Too bad he'd rushed up the stairs before she'd gotten to say hello. And batted her eyes. And possibly asked for some assistance. Now what was she to do?
Her mind whirred for a second, before settling on a solution. She could follow the man, and ask him for help. Wherever he was going, it couldn't be far. Just as she began to put her luggage down to follow the man up the stairs, another person entered the stairwell. She turned her head, taking in the girl who was practically drowning in boxes. Perhaps she'd be willing to help her with her suitcases? She was a little overloaded at the moment, but maybe on her way back. There was no way her mother would follow her into the stairwell, (she wasn't insane) so she'd be safe from her fury as well. It seemed like a good enough plan. Before she could open her mouth, the girl was tripping over her luggage, letting out a string of curses as she fell.
Penelopi let out a happy sigh as she regained her balance. Thank goodness she didn't smash her face in, Penni never had been good with blood. "Miss?" She carefully slung her purse over her shoulder and reached for the two boxes on top. "I'd be willing to help you if you'll help me?" she questioned, though her tone made it pretty obvious that she wasn't in the mood for debate. "Seriously, you'd totally be doing me a huge favor. There's no way I'd be able to get these up the stairs all by myself, and you're boxes look a lot lighter-" Penni cast a glance at the huge suitcases at her feet, "than mine." She offered the girl a sweet smile. "I was going to ask him-" she motioned upwards, "But he's already gone." She shrugged. "And I'd prefer if a girl didn't fall down the stairs and give herself a concussion on my first day in a new apartment."

Well everyone was busy, Got to say I just adore everyones characters and I can definitely see Brinn and Olivia getting along very well. I guess I will work on her post.)Brinn Astire
A new beginning was perhaps something to be afraid of, something to approach with an air of caution and pessimism. Especially when that beginning involved meeting such a large number of new people. It wasn't that she disliked meeting people, in fact that was contrary to the truth. She loved meeting people, the cause of the copper haired girls worry was that these people she would be living with for the next year at least. In any such situation it would be a fool that wasn't at least a little concerned about the calibre of housemates you were about to introduce yourself to.
She had taken all manners of public transport to get to the place she now stood, a crammed backpack hanging heavily over her shoulder and a suitcase at her side. She could have driven if she had chosen to, and if she had managed to work enough hours to pay for the little car she had been set on paying for this summer. But it seemed there weren't enough hours in the day to earn the money she needed to pay off all of the things she needed to. So she had put the car on hold and had instead put down the deposit on this place. Her first port of call had not been to get to the apartment and unpack but to stop off in the coffee shop just down the road from her new address and apply for a job. The owner had looked over her resume and although dubbing her overqualified he had seen something in her that had made him give ther the position on the spot. It was a little good news to begin the day she supposed.
Now she dragged her suitcase across the carpark towards the lobby of the apartment complex. The building seemed well maintained in comparison to some of the derelict high rises she had passed on her way here. Shifting the weight of her tattered backpack to a more comfortable position attempting to straighten the pale cream blouse and waistcoat she wore. Her fashion sense was a little eclectic if not practical, black skinny jeans that accentuated long and toned legs made to appear longer by calf high leather boots with a slight heel. The blouse she wore featured a ruffled neckline, not unlike the shirt of an 80's Glam Rock musician and was complimented by a black waistcoat that pinched in around her middle to flatter a feminine frame. Her wavy hair was pinned in a messy bun, a few corkscrew curls falling loose to frame her face.
With a deep intake of breath she let herself in to the lobby, cursing below her breath as the suitcase got wedged in to the door and she struggled to pull it free. Her green eyes turned to survey the scene before her. It seemed she was not the only one who had picked this moment to make an entrance, in fact she could barely see the lobby carpet below the sheer amounts of boxes and baggage. She placed a hand on her hip, smiling in the soft way she tended to when something amused her. There was no way she was clambering over all of this mayhem so of course she would offer her assistance.
"Looks like people could use some help." Her voice was incredibly gentle, it often surprised people that a redhead sould be so soft spoken. But Brinn rarely conformed to know stereotypes. In fact she found going against the grain to be much more enjoyable. Her gaze rose from the mess of belongings to the people standing in the lobby, quickly flicking from one to the next before finally resting on Olivia.

'I'm going to claim a room before anyone else joins us.' Cain softly said to Eve with a small smile, heading off to find the best room that would work for his hobbies. His pa would be dropping off the remainder of his belongings in the morning, and he'd need a decent sized room for some of his musical apparel. He found a large enough one and headed inside, placing his suitcase down on his preferred bed, and sat down on it, examining the room in silence, wondering where he could put his things without infringing on Eve.

(May be a bit poofy today everyone x3)
Teddy excused himself more or less from Eve and Cain before heading back to the room he'd picked as his own. Going back to unpacking, he took out various books and such. And, his favorite possession, an old chess set. It had a cheesy backstory, being crafted by a grandfather with who knew how many "greats" attached to his name, and started a tradition of handing down to the first born child of each generation. Yet the set was still in great condition, and Teddy would always play with anyone who would accept. If someone so much as tried to scratch any part of it, they would never see the light of day again. Sighing, he put it on his bed before going to remove some other belongings from one of his two suitcases. The young man made sure not to just throw his things along the entire room. Yeah, he made sure to just keep his things in a small area for now, until his roommate showed up to have a chance to choose where to put their things.
