After Tobias and Seraphina left, Lily quickly got to work, mucking out the stall as Brothers Osborne blasted from her phone speakers. "No, it ain't my fault!" She sang loudly, laughing when the horse in the stall next to her whinnied.

Jackson led Sugarfoot and Navigator back to the stables, the older mare whinnied softly and nipped affectionately at the black stallions ear, as they followed behind their human at a leisurely pace. Jackson looked over his shoulder at the content and playful horses, shaking his head at them as he returned Navigator to his stall first, much to the stallions great displeasure. Sighing, he patted the black horse on his nose as he shut the stall door, before making his way to the other side of the stables to Sugarfoot's stall. As he turned the corner, he noticed a stall was open, and he saw the top of someones head, "Lily?" He said curiously as he led Sugarfoot over to the open stall, and sure enough, it was the charismatic and quirky veterinarian.

Whipping around, Lily's eyes widened as they met Jackson's pale blue ones and she froze. "H-Hi." The horse trainer had been here for two years now, and for two years Lily had never known what to say to him, having known about his playboyish ways since high school. However, she relaxed slightly when she noticed Sugarfoot, a horse she had grown quite fond of.

Jackson smiled at Lily as she turned to him, looking a bit surprised and taken aback. They had gone to high school together and had been at Redwood for the last two years, though they had rarely talked for some reason. Lily seemed friendly enough and he had tried to start conversations with her but they had always turned into awkward silence for some reason. Blinking and eyeing her curiously, he glanced around Seraphina's stall, "did Tobias put you up to this?" He said hiding a little chuckle as Sugarfoot whinnied softly behind him, pressing her chest against his shoulder and left arm, extending her head to Lily for some pets.

(Ack I slept til 12... I've literally never done that. Jay is free, he's just mucking stalls and cleaning horses lol, I'll bring my other character Louisa in soon)
Brenton laughed it off. "No, no, nothing's wrong. Just running this place can age a guy. You can't imagine the kind of bills we pay to keep this place running." In truth, the problem was how many bills they didn't pay, but only Dr. Woodley knew about that. It was important that the students not worry- after all, if students left and took their horses with them Redwood would lose a huge source of income.

[ really ? o: i sleep til around then whenever i can.. ]
Arabelle nodded at his words, offering Brenton a small smile. "I see. It's no wonder you've begun graying already," she teased though she suspected there might be more to it than what he was telling her. Never having been one to pry, the twenty-four year old pushed away from the door frame, readjusting the strap of her bag, and shook the thoughts from her mind. "Well, if there's anything I can do to help," she added, "let me know.. Er, so long as it's not during the day during school hours. I can't very well go skipping class. Kindergarteners can be quite troublesome when left to their own devices. You should have seen the mess little Greg made when I turned my back for just one second.. It was quite sticky and.. Ah, I'm sorry..." Ara trailed off, eyes wide; she had begun rambling as she often did around people with whom she was not terribly familiar.

Oliver and his father pulled up in a old, mud stained truck. Oliver looked out the tinted windows at the fast fair kids with horses dotting them, some with riders and trainers, others without. Oliver took a second to look before turning back to his father with a confused, and slightly annoyed look, "I chose to come up here for a change of life, and you bring me here?" He said to his dad, "I can't believe this, I-I.." He began. He then rubbed his face, trying to comprehend why his dad thought he was an animal person, let alone a horse person. Oliver's dad took his hands off the swearing wheel, "I thought the same when I was a boy," he said with a chuckle, "dad sent me here when I was only a year younger than you are now. Thought it would be the end off me!" He then looked Oliver directly in the eye, "but look at me now!" He looked ahead, putting his hands back on the wheel, "ol' row and I are like brothers!" He said with a slight smile. Oliver paused a bi tbefore speaking, "yeah well I'm not you dad." He said while looking back at his dad. Oliver's dad only laughs and patted Oliver on the shoulder roughly, "I'll pick you up tonight!" He said. Oliver looked down before nodding and opening the door, he closed the car door and out on the small army bag he had been carrying around sense he moved up to his father's country house. His dad drove away. Oliver groaned closing his eyes and looking up towards the sky. He walked up to the stables and saw a girl tending to her horse. ((Sorry it's long Kurai

Smiling, she reached over and gently stroked the horse's head before saying, "Toby is going to love me one day. Everyone here is perfectly fine, not that I'm complaining, it's good that no one's sick, but that makes my job rather useless today so I decided to help him out. But I'm not picking favorites, he just looked so busy so I thought he'd need me most, well need my help most."
Groaning, she chuckled softly and decided to shut up, her cheeks burning as she focused on petting Sugarfoot. Reaching into her jean pocket, she pulled out a lump of sugar and hummed softly when Sugarfoot happily nibbled on the treat. "Some Sugar for Sugar."

Contessa found her way back to Navigator after her father dropped her off at the stables, her brother had left without her before the sun had even risen, so she had to arrange a different ride. She knew how to drive, and her family had an excess amount of sleek cars, but she just felt anxious and uncomfortable every time she drove, so if it could be avoided...well then she would avoid it. She had taken Navigator out of his stall and had put on his English-style tack, as usual, she never rode Western. Her hair curly black hair was up in a messy bun today, stray strands framing her sun-kissed, petite features. She had a more youthful beauty, though she could easily pass as 18 or 19, her face still had a child-like feel. Mounting the black hot blood, her brown leather riding boots clamping onto either side of his large frame, she suddenly felt excited,Ike she always did when her, and the speed demon were about to go for a run.

The barn was beginning to fill with people as it tended to do at this time. She stood from where she had been seated. She slipped the bridle over her shoulder, the same glistening black leather as her long boots. Her legs were long and elegant in cream jodphurs, something that has been standard back home but here only served to make her look all the more out of place. She let herself in to the big warmbloods stall and quickly got to work tacking him up. She hummed quietly to herself as she worked, the horse happy to stand patiently as she moved around him. Most of the others here used crossties something she had never used at her old barn so out of habit she still did all of her grooming and tacking up inside Tarkin's stall. She had just finished fastening his snow white bandages and neatening his mane before brushing herself off and leading him out in to the aisle. She hoped she could get in to the arena alone for a while to work with the big stallion so led him onwards the school. People and horses milled about, animals of all shapes and sizes. The stallion's head lifted and he let out a shrill whinny, his tail flicking against his rump.
She was about to continue on when a male stepped into the barn. She rested a hand on the stallions neck as he danced on the spot, impatient to be moving but something made his master hesitate. She smiled at him nervously, she hadn't seen him here previously, not that she had spoken to anyone since her arrival a week ago. Tarkin snorted and extended his muzzle towards the newcomer, unlike his owner he loved meeting new people and both his dark tipped ears pricked forward. "Hey." She muttered softly, incredibly aware of her British accent.

Armed with a helmet and a fully tacked horse, Tobias left the barn with his mare in tow, Lily’s words sitting heavily on his mind - as they likely would for the rest of the day. EMS? He had always chalked up Seraphina’s easy weight gain to a slow metabolism and inconsistent training schedule lately. Perhaps it was EMS… It usually manifested itself in older horses. And while Seraphina certainly wasn’t old at 15, she wasn’t as young and spry as she used to be. Should he start looking for another horse? Allow the mare to retire to trails and light-work only? Tobias frowned at these troubling thoughts and mounted his horse once they reached the expansive outdoor arena. From the saddle, he lengthened the leathers on his new saddle - he had meant to try out some jumps in this saddle, however with Seraphina’s now questionable health and age, he would stick to flat work today.

( sweetclover1 sure! scar LOL I hate sleeping late, I really prefer to wake up at 8:30) Jay finished his morning routine for all the stalls he was assigned to that week. He went out to the paddock and whistled to Ranger, who trotted over from the far side. Feeding her a carrot, he brought her back to her stall to tack her up. Brenton tried to pull a chunk of hair over his forehead where he could see it, with no luck. "Well, I'll be in my office sorting out the finances if you need anything." With that he made his way back to the loft, rubbing a few horses on the nose as he walked past their stalls.

Kurai Oliver looked at the girl with a slight smile, "hey," he said in a surprisingly deep voice. He swooped back his brown hair. He hoisted his backpack up as he walked closer to the girl. He didn't want it to seem awkward, but then again he didn't want to be that one guy that stands in the corner alone.
