As a noble, Lailah Eae Rahmiel had been in the Palace of Mevalon exactly nine times. Five of those visits had been for royal functions such as balls and other lavish and incredibly dull (don't tell the queen she had said that) parties and holiday celebrations. Three had been a personal summons from the King himself. Her father and mother were prominent citizens with prestige and wide ranging influence which made her only one step below their status. For the moment anyways. The ninth time she had been summoned to the castle was by the Queen and Lailah had walked into her meeting confident; however, she had stumbled out of the meeting with shaking knees. She traveled back to her parents villa, promptly went straight to her room - not before brushing off the concerned glances of her mother - and buried her head into her pillow. That day had been the day that her life changed. The ninth visit to the palace had gotten the ball rolling in her favor; the tenth would decide her fate entirely.
Quaking on the inside, Lailah stepped out of her family carriage, her wings spilling out the doors smoothly with her. The castle was everything and nothing like she remembered on the last visit. The huge white walls blended neatly into the sky and the water from the near by sea rushed in her ears. It was massive, imposing even. It stirred her soul, the way it towered over her. For a moment, she didn't believe that she could live here and do heaven knows what. She took a deep breath to still herself and reminded herself that it was the same palace that she had visited nine other times. It would not destroy her and it would not take her captive. No, it was simply a place to rest her head tonight. The Queen would probably change her mind about her staying for a while anyways and she would be back to her country villa tomorrow afternoon.
Lailah took one last breath and then set out to enter the castle, "Come Regina." The tiger bounded majestically out of the carriage, golden eyes alight with curiosity. She turned to one of the servants, "Bring Amor to my room for me." He nodded and went o grab the cage that held the red kite. The noble then reached down to take ahold of the leather collar around her tiger's neck and started to walk through the doors of the castle. She entered the halls quickly, guided by the servants, and soon she stood in front of her room.
(I usually post long starters, but my other posts won't probably be as long.XD)

Elyon smiled softly, then he felt a small body climb onto him and he eyed the fox out of the corner of his eye. Undisturbed by his new addition, he stood carefully and then he nodded in greeting, "Tis a pleasure to meet you, Elena. Elyon at your service. And there is no need to fret, your wolf is more than welcome. Our home and now your home, of course there is a limit but having a wolf is not one," he spoke to reassure her, smiling. Letting out a sigh of relief, a gentle smile graced her soft features, making it clear that she was a veela. Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear she said, "Your kingdom is quite beautiful. And while I don't know much about the courting process, or whatever it's called, I would love it if you found the time to show me around. Only if you have time Elyon."
