Picard moved about in his room. It was the first mission with the full crew. He wasn't worried, but he wondered how his crew would react. It would be a good experience. Every great crew began somewhere. Picard sighed and stepped out of his room, moving to the bridge of the ship.
Sebastian moved quickly through the small trickle of the crew and others aboard. He wasn't going to be late on the first mission. That wouldn't look very good on his part at all.
Tasha pulled the brush through her hair, organizing the blonde locks on her head before she turned away and stepped out of her door. She moved with the crowd, trying to ush down her impatience as the others moved rather casually.
(I aplogize if this is a terrible starter I'm very tired this morning)

Abigail sighed, she was running behind of course, but she still wasn't quite up to speed to where she wanted to be in regards to meeting the Captain, familiarizing herself with the crew, the Sick Bay and her job. This was her first time as a CMO, and she was one of the youngest to ever become one. So she had a reason to be extremely nervous. She was running late due to working and reading PAD work in her quarters, nearly jogging to Sick Bay.

Sebastian hurried through the crowd of people, bumping into someone. He quickly apologized, only to look up and see. The Captain? Sebastian was swept away in the rush of people right as he opened his mouth to say something. He gave a frustrated sigh and turned toward the Sick Bay. He'd wait until the crowd passed and then he'd go the the brig.

Luckily for Abigail she could afford to be late by a few minutes just because she was the CMO, but she didn't want to show that it was ok to be late all the time. She made to the Sick Bay without making too much of a fuss. Walking into her office, she dropped her arm full of PADDS on to her desk messily before stacking then nicely and sighed. She looked around, just seeing a few nurses and checked in with them for any cases that may have happened while she was gone. After that , she sat down at her desk with a cup of coffee to read.

Sebastian was a bit stunned at his run in with the Captain. And as he waited for the crowd to clear he looked around. Spotting a woman who seemed to know what she was doing, he made his way over. "You wouldn't happen to know who the Captain of this ship looks like would you?" He asked. He probably should know himself, but he was a rather forgetful man and all he could remember was a name and not a face.

Abigail looked at the man with doe eyes, completely taken off guard by his question. She was leaning over her desk with both palms on it. Her first reaction was to search his body for any injuries or illness, once she thought he was fine her mind turned over his question. "Well I haven't met him yet which probably isn't the best. I've only seen pictures of him " She stood up, awkwardly rubbed the back or her neck. "Computer," She paused for a moment waiting to hear the sound that said it was ready. "Pull up a picture of Picard,Jean-Luc, Captain." Once the picture of the Captain came up she swiveled the monitor to face the man. "There he is."

Sebastian wasn't very aware of the fact he'd surprised the woman until he saw her comfused reaction. She must've thought he was crazy, but he couldn't take it back. Too late now. He almost sighed outloud when she asked her computer for a picture. Why didn't he think of that? He was way to nervous for today, he definitely needed to take a few deep breaths to calm down his thoughts. When she showed him the picture he groaned, "It was him!"

Abigail chucked slightly. "You saw him, but you weren't sure if it was the Captain?" She asked. "A bit nervous I'm guessing? Don't worry about it. It only gets worse once you climb the ladder, trust me. Especially when you've never really served on a Starship as big as the Enterprise or when you're used to a Starbase." Abby sighed. "Speaking about the Captain, I still need to speak with him." She shook her head. "I'm Abigail by the way. Are you on duty? Or heading somewhere?" She asked, not wanting to keep him away from wherever he was heading to in the first place.

Sebastian nodded and ran a hand through his ruffled hair, “Yes, very reassuring.” He said, but not meaning it in a rude way, he was simply a bit stressed. He smiled, despite himself and nodded, “Sebastian” He introduced himself casually, “I’m not on duty, not yet. I was headed toward the command center, but I couldn’t get through the crowd.”

"Not very helpful, I'm guessing." Abby sighed and nodded. "Nice to meet you, at least there's one person who's open to chatting." She paused for a moment. "Yea, it's going to take a while yet to figure out how traffic works on this ship. I haven't, I just transferred on to the ship. Same with you?" She asked.

Sebastian sighed and looked around, then he looked back to her. “Oh yea, first day. I swear I’m so nervous I can’t remember anything about this ship.” He said, shaking his head as though disappointed in himself. He’d spent so many years, studying everything he could. And now it had all slipped his mind, this easily.

"Oh I know the feeling. It kind of gets better and worse as time goes by and you climb up the ladder as long as someone has your back who's higher up than you." She sighed, staring off into space for a moment before she looked at her guest. What are you assigned to do on this ship?" Abby asked.

Sebastian sighed and looked back at Abigail at her question. “Oh, I’m just a cadet, nothing really that important” He said with a small wave of his hand. He then caught himself, stopping and looking at her, “You?”

Abigail raised an eyebrow at his answer. "Without everyone doing their part, you do realize this ship would not work? That everyone is important." She figured with his answer that it may be better to lie a bit to make him a bit more comfortable. Abby may look young, and she was, but she still was one of the youngest CMO ever. "I'm just one of the medical staff." She stated, briefly looking down at her computer screen then tapped a few things on the PADD on her desk then looked back at Sebastian.
