Adriane Marcella von Ecoff Slytherin // Pureblood 17 // Female // Heterosexual Not to generalize, but you could place Adriane in her house without the hint of a uniform or banner. She is the image of Slytherin. There's no particular reason, it's not as though all Slytherins are of the same coloring, height, weight, etc. The defining factor is in the way she carries herself. She is externally extremely confident, back always straight, movements elegant and calculated, eyes forever loyal to her innermost thoughts and feelings. Adriane does not often smile. She's the type of person who's secure enough in herself not to constantly validate what others are saying. Instead she has a slightly misleading appearance of constant superiority and/or disapproval. Sometimes she'll smirk, which is a hint that she finds something amusing. Outwardly it would appear that Adriane cares very little for what anyone thinks. She is beautiful, the kind that makes people assume she is also either manipulative or dim. She's taller than most girls as she's nearing five foot eight, but she has a slim, athletic figure. Her skin is pale enough you could lose her in a snowstorm. She burns incredibly easily, which is why she so rarely goes outside for anything other than Quidditch practice. Her hair, too, is just a shade or so off white. Platinum blonde is probably the correct term. It's quite long, and naturally straight. She typically keeps it in a high pony tail, which is the most convenient for flying. Her eyelashes, too, are very pale but that's usually hidden by a layer of spidery black mascara. Her brows are well defined and quite dark. They are her main tool of expression, often curving in sassy regard or pinching in disapproval. They sit above two very guarded eyes of dark green, which are usually mistaken for brown from a distance. Adriane has clean, feminine, angular features. Her nose is very straight and slim, her lips pale but nicely shaped, and eyes almond shaped. Her parents also blessed her with nice bone structure, including high cheek bones, an elegant neck, and long limbs. She does not have the appearance of strength, but strong she is. She is the Keeper for the Slytherin Quidditch team, and she's a fierce competitor. It helps that her parents buy her the best broom on the market every year, and that she's been training since she was five. She comes from a long line of Quidditch players, in fact, and a few of her brothers have already gone down in Hogwarts history. It's her competitive side coming out when she demands to be just as good. All in all Adriane is a young woman of contrasts. She is white as snow, but her eyes are dark and knowing. She throws a hissy fit when she breaks a nail but she won't hesitate to soar through the air on a flying broomstick. She is a terrible person and yet she's as loyal as they come. Which brings me to her personality. No one in their right minds would meet Adriane and want to be friends with her. She is condescending, self absorbed, and blunt. She does not tread lightly when it comes to feelings and she will not hesitate to tell things as they are. And yet, she ended up in a group of friends who pride themselves in being accepting and kind. How did this happen, do you ask? Well, one must first demand to be Adriane's friend if they are ever to spend any time with her. She usually assumes her companionship is unwanted and so she doesn't exactly offer it up on a daily basis. The trick of the Marauders, back in their first year of school, was simply to sit next to the girl every day until her hard shell was eventually chipped away. Once that shell is removed it's not like she suddenly becomes a ray of sunshine, but there is a surprising change in her demeanor. With her friends Adriane can be quite affectionate and protective. She will stay up late to braid another girl's hair or volunteer when someone asks for a partner in class. She will sometimes laugh at jokes (as long as they're good). More than anything, though, Adriane proves she is a worthy friend through her loyalty. She doesn't care when other Slytherins pester her for hanging out with a Hufflepuff. She will jump to the aid of her friends without hesitation, which is why she is still a valued member of the gang (even if she has a bit of an attitude). One of Adriane's most prominent character traits is her affinity for justice. She cannot stand when someone is short changed or underappreciated. If one student gets a bad grade while another gets a good one for the same work, she will not be afraid to speak with the teacher. She does not like being lied to and she doesn't like it when someone is skirting the truth. She, surprisingly, will always stand up for the underdog especially if she feels that person has been wronged. Adriane comes from one of the most prominent wizarding families of Northern Europe. Her grandfather was practical wizarding royalty in Norway, and her mother (on the other side) was an heiress from Sweden. Her parents are extremely wealthy. They have homes all across Europe, each of them more beautiful than the last. That and they had ties to Death Eaters back when Voldemort was in power. Every child from the von Ecoff family has been sorted into Slytherin. Adriane is the second youngest of seven siblings, all boys except for her. Her brothers had a reputation for being classic Slytherin stereotypes; entitled, mean, and ambitious. Her oldest brother went off to China as an ambassador. Her second brother married a fellow Slytherin and got a job at the Ministry of Magic. All this is to say that her parents have high expectations, and it would be a terrible mistake for Adriane to break the chain. That being said, she doesn't really care what her parents think. She'll openly talk about her friends in Gryffindor and Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. She'll retort their claims that Slytherin is the only pure and noble house, and she'll even defend muggleborn students. But this has created a lot of tension in her family. Her parents pretend not to care, but they strongly disapprove of their daughter's actions. They are just a few of the many parents who write to McGonagall regularly and ask for reform. Anyway, that brings me to Adriane's history of wizardry. Now, she's a smart girl, there's no disputing that. She has a clever, argumentative head on her shoulders meant for debates and conversation. But she doesn't care for studying and she hates authority. That's a bad combination. For these reasons, Adriane is a fantastic witch with terrible grades. She doesn't try on tests that she thinks initially are too hard and she won't do homework if it involves picking up a quill. The only reason she gets by is through sheer intelligence (and perhaps a bit of bribing from her parents). She does have a passion for potions. It's her favorite class and one that comes very easily to her. Herbology is the exact opposite. She hates it with a burning passion and is often caught ditching (mostly because she doesn't like getting her hands dirty).

Cassidy Elizabeth Steele Gryffindor // Muggle-born 17 // Female // Questioning fc: elise bauman Standing at 5'3", Cassie isn't anything spectacular to look at, at least she certainly doesn't think so. She stays in pretty good shape to keep down her weight, considering she likes to cook. Her skin is lightly tanned, with hazel eyes and mousy brown hair cut to her midback. Cassidy is, in the simplest terms, a good person. A quintessential goody-two-shoes, she's always following the rules and chastising others when they don't. Sue her, she likes things to go orderly and smoothly. Despite this if she disagrees with something, she has no qualms with breaking rules to see that thing fixed. In her eyes, the rules only apply if they are for the betterment of everyone under them. Long time bullied for this stuck-up personality, Cassie took it so far as to dress up in a cape and mask when she was little, running around the neighborhood and tackling those mean fifth graders off the swings they had pushed her friends from. Well, "tackle" is a bit of a strong word, considering her rather small stature didn't lend itself well to dragging older boys, much larger than herself, to the ground. But this girl certainly tried! Therein lies Cassidy's greatest strength, and perhaps most easily exploited weakness: Cassie Steele will fall cold, dead to the ground before she finally gives up on something. With a hero complex larger than the Eiffel Tower, this young woman simply doesn't know when to stop. The very few times she might, she has to think it was her own thought process that brought her to that decision, as anyone who tries to convince her is only going to make her even more pigheaded. And of course, she's most persistent in endeavors that others would say is a lost cause, rather than something that is useful, like studying. Academically, this particular witch is no talent, though not entirely dumb either. Perfectly average, in fact. Even so, she's always more than willing to help out someone if she thinks she understands it well enough. Actually, Cassie is willing to help others out when it comes to most things. She can be painfully polite at times, especially when scared or nervous, falling back on "please" and "thank you" and "yes sir", "yes ma'am." An easy tell of her's for negative feelings (fear, anxiety, nerves, butterflies, etc.) is her biting her lip, as if unsure of herself. Her awkwardness is tangible in the air at times, despite some efforts to make lame jokes. This often leads people to see her in one of two ways: a shy, awkward rambler who can't say no but is charming in a "quirky" sort of way, or a weird, equally as awkward, half as endearing, aloof girl who could learn to loosen up. Although she is ever the optimistic beam of sociability, she can be quite the blunt realist, and once her patience has been tried enough, expect her pushover-ness to instantly dissipate into an angry ball of ugly truths mixed with insults. If the altercation is with a friend, she always tries to resolve the issue, loyal as ever. Oh, and she really, really loves to cook.
Family is always a tricky thing, isn't it? Cassie lived in America for the longest time, and only moved to Britain because of Hogwarts, staying with some family friends. She prefers not to discuss why exactly, only implying that something bad occurred to her parents. In reality, nothing happened to them at all, only that the parents and child had a "falling out" that led to her getting sent across seas, for someone else to deal with. Thankfully, these family friends are incredibly supportive of her magical circumstances. She feels that these family friends are more her family, even if not by blood, hence never mentioning her birth parents much. Not to mention, wizarding school and the Marauders keep her thoughts far from that dark place. Her favorite classes are herbology and potions, with a unicorn hair core, ash wand.

Ringo Hayashi
Gryffindor // Halfblood
16 // Female // Lesbian
Ringo is a petite girl of 5ft with a small frame and pale skin. There is a frailness to her with how thin she is though she is anything but frail. She as a childish appearance with an youthful face and large green eyes. Her light brown hair reaches her chest and her bangs brush against her thin eyebrows. Her eyelashes are dark and long, drawing a focus to her vibrant green eyes. She always wears a bow with an apple on the knot no matter what her hairstyle is. Speaking of her hair, Ringo will often wear her hair in a different style each day never quite settling on a specific one.
Ringo is extremely playful and a happy person though she does have her moments of negativity. If someone tries to insult one of her friends or an argument goes beyond a certain point she will get set off. When she begins to talk about something she is passionate about she will ramble on forever until someone cuts her off or she finishes rambling. Ringo will tend to drag one of her friends along with her as she goes off to practice her magic or just to go do something she considers fun which might not always be fun for others. At the heart of everything she is a loyal friend who will stay beside her friends forever. In terms of quirks, she has a habit of saying things in Japanese since she does spend her summers with her father’s family in Japan though will often translate for her friends or anyone nearby. Ringo has an unnatural obsession with apples despite the irony of her name which means apple and that fact her wand is made from the wood of an apple tree. In addition, she is a big fan of music and will often experiment with spells by combining them with music.
Ringo’s dad is a muggle while her mother is a witch. She is closer to her mother whom she takes after in appearance. Her father works in the music business in Japan which is where she got her love of music. On the other hand, her mother has a fascination with muggles and experimenting with potions. These two worlds led Ringo to her quest to make music with magic. Ringo had actually been a quiet girl her first year, unsure of herself and her magic. But when she met the Marauders, she began to open up and became who she is now.

Calliope Whitby Ravenclaw // Muggleborn 17 // Female // Bisexual Like her name, she is Greek, and her skin is dark and smooth, even if it is, occasionally, smudged with ink. Her black hair curls in an almost unspeakable fashion, to the point where if she tied it back, Calliope would look like an entirely different person. Even then, it would still fight against the hair tie- she has snapped a good few trying to update her look. It just wasn't meant to be. Because she leaves it down, her hair frames her round face delicately, almost like you would see in a portrait. Unfortunately for her, her nose is more pointed than most, and it sticks out, ruining the picture perfect image. Calliope thinks her eyes make up for it though. They're a creamy, light brown, almost like melted chocolate, which a few golden flecks. The rest of her is pretty average looking- she stands at five feet, four inches, and thanks to running around the school, both with or without her friends, she stays active, giving her lean muscles. In many ways, Calliope is your typical Ravenclaw- covets learning, intelligence, and creativity above all things. Her namesake, the muse of epic poetry and deity most called upon to judge stories and writing, does reflect her, in a way. She does, in fact, write- it's one of the only places her true feelings show. Calliope, while not seeing herself as superior, does tend to be highly critical of herself and others work. Whether this is a gift or a curse, she cannot say. One thing she is not, however, is organized. When the Marauders try to go through her notes, it's more like a treasure hunt around her dorm rather than simply pawing through some files. Thankfully, Calliope understands where everything is, and the controlled chaos stays to her side of the room, so others dorming with her typically don't complain. While her papers are tidy and meticulously edited, her notes are messy, covered with scribbles, doddles, and the occasional coffee stain. As a result, when the other Marauders request her help with studying, it often turns into a mini lecture, allowing a lot more long-winded questions and jokes than any Hogwarts professor would care to tolerate- she'll help you with anything but History of Magic, her worst class. It amazes other students that a group of loud, careless, troublemakers would want to have anything to do with her, especially considered how she appears to others- at first glance, she gives off the aura of a typical stuffy bookworm, and after chatting with her a few times, she's almost cold. Yes, cold is the way to describe it. Calliope keeps her emotions on a short leash. She learned, both through guidance and through practice, that the best outcomes are governed by a steady, logical mind. This not only dictates she control her impulses, but not to give way to the temptation of feelings. She has them of course- who doesn't? She just doesn't share them. That's where her writing comes in. You read any one of her countless notebooks, you've basically solved the enigma. That she also learned to hide long ago, and takes every precaution with her papers. Since Calliope doesn't share her feelings out loud, people who befriend her don't typically stick around. Because of this, her first few years at Hogwarts were devoted to nothing but her work, and she still has yet to join any clubs, though she longs to try a hand at Quidditch, among other things. Sometimes it surprises even her that the Marauders have kept her around so long. Though she's Muggleborn, Calliope grew up with parents almost as strict as the Purebloods. Both of her parents are highly elite professors at a Muggle university, one in literature and the other in mathematics. Already very serious, they were quite unamused when Calliope was beginning to pull pranks around the house- ie, her magic was coming in. They almost didn't believe that the letter she got was real either, until Calliope, desperate to go to the school where she truly belonged, caused a tree to grow out from the planks of wood in the floor. Well, there was no other explanation for that. It was clear their daughter was a witch. "But you must understand, Calliope- this is a gift, one you must not take lightly. Treat is with caution until you master it, and then, use it as a tool." her mother said. Her father nodded. "You can do many great things with this, but for now, you're a student like any other. Let's not lose our heads here." Thus, in order to get to Hogwarts, she had to be practical, and not act out in the slightest. Even to this day, she knows her parents are more than willing to take her from Hogwarts and point her in the direction of a medical internship, or something equally dignified. As a result, she doesn't know many of the fun spells and charms many of her friends perform, and has yet to step foot into Zonko's. Calliope is one of the newer members of their group of friends at Hogwarts- while most of the Gryffindors and Slytherins knew each other since first year at the latest, she didn't come into play until someone- she's still not sure who- decided they needed someone smart to round off the group, to offer advice on papers and possibly influence professors to let another Marauder off easy if they get in trouble. Calliope fit the bill perfectly- when they picked her up, her seemingly cold view on feelings and the like had already driven away members of her own house. Almost immediately, she knew what was up. Any normal person wouldn't given them the time of day. But Calliope was curious, and frankly, without a social life, she was starting to get a little bored. She didn't intend to stick around for very long, but the Marauders balanced her out, and she settled in, almost perfectly. She possesses a beech wood wand with unicorn hair core, and her patronus is a leopard. (Ta da! Finished!)

wip for lil paranoid slytherin boi
Mathys Vauclain Slytherin // Pureblood... Maybe? He assumes so, anyway. 17 // Male // Panromantic Demisexual Physical Description {including height, build, coloring, etc.} Personality: With exactly zero appreciation for the limelight, Mathys is happiest when he is lost in the background. He doesn't like to stand out, but his family name tends to make that difficult for him. It isn't easy being the son of a diva, and he would be first to admit that he's grown tired of his mother's antics, but since Estelle Belrose-LeBlanc-Vauclain is a woman who does what she likes, his only option is to keep his head down whenever her name pops up on the front page of the Daily Prophet. It's almost unbelievable that a vivacious woman like Estelle would breed a wallflower for a son, but that's exactly what Mathys is. He doesn't want the world to know who he is and what he's doing, and he does his utmost to ensure that his personal life remains private. Because of this, Mathys has a tendency to come across as aloof and downright paranoid at times, which hasn't earned him many points in terms of popularity. He worries more than a healthy person should, and the majority of those worries revolve around others' opinions on him. Admittedly, he isn't sure why his friends befriended him in the first place, given how secretive he is. He isn't exactly the kind of guy a normal person would go out of their way to get to know--he knows this. It's hard for him to put his trust in another person, and while he questions their motives with him from time to time, Mathys does trust his friends. When they're around, he is a distinctly warmer, happier wizard. His loyalty to them is not something to scoff at, as he is known for keeping their secrets and being the first to judge anyone who crosses them. Simply put, his friends are the most important people in his life and he would do almost anything for them. Background Description {including family life, history with magic, history with the group of friends, etc}

claimmmm clam uugly descrip may clean it up soon. will.
Name - Alexander "Xander/Alec" Einaudi
Hufflepuff // Pure Blood
17 // male // meh
Physical Description {including height, build, coloring, etc.} 5'6 somewhat slim, with dark ink black curly hair and hazel gray eyes, freckles sprinkled over his nose/ face. has light brown skin tone
Personality Description {including likes, dislikes, strange habits, quirks, flaws, hobbies, etc} easy going, full of humorous quirks here and there, he has somewhat bad timing when it comes to jokes. he dislikes people who are unnecessarily negative and bring down the mood. a strange habit, not so strange he can play the cello ewe. a flaw of his can be that he has a hard time getting attached to others despite the constant easy going aura that he always has up. he likes to talk to the first years or anyone really that seems to be lonely and unable to connect with kids their age in hoping that he can help them climb up from their social rank of loneliness to friends, rather helpless. people can call him by his full name, Alexander or Xander or Alec he doesnt really mind. A, has a tendency to block out teachers' voices and get on their last nerves rather very unintentionally.
Background Description {including family life, history with magic, history with the group of friends, etc} actually adequate when it comes to magical skills much to some people's surprise. doesn't have many "close" friends but many consider him to be his friend, yet not that they would know much about him if they were asked. born into pureblood society and never had many hardships at least money wise that is. his parents, mainly his mother wanted to show A and his sisters off like show dogs to show their wealth and their 'untainted' bloodline. parents are split on the issues of pureblood/ muggleborn. they literally split, if wizards can even get divorced then they are or on the verge with all of the disputes they. father doesn't have a problem with muggleborn students, their humans just like him. the father is rather tired of having to deal with this feud.

Geoffrey Monmouth Slytherin // Pureblood 16 // Male// Gay Geoff doesn't stand out, to put it very simply. With his lean, almost gangly build and rather lackluster height, coming in around 5'5", he's not someone who catches the eye in a crowd. However, keep on looking and you'll see someone who moves with quiet confidence. His dark brown eyes are hooded and, at first glance, he gives off a rather soft, gentle look. Certainly not at home in the sharp edges that most Slytherin gazes feature. However, he has this soft intensity and he carries his determination in his eyes. When he's focused and ready to rumble, those soft eyes burn. His hair, thick and curled, is kept short and close to his scalp, though he wears his newsboy cap whenever he can get away with it. He claims it's due to his head getting cold, though it's really to hide a small, barely visible scar on the back of his head that he has managed to convince himself is far more larger than it truly is. His warm brown skin is smooth and clear, as his carefully constructed appearance will not be blemished by something so annoying as acne and it's not unheard of for him to put on a little make-up to ensure his appearance is perfect. He's well aware that he's not physically impressive, so he makes up for it in any way he can. Geoff is the sort who doesn't allow anything to get in his way. The sole heir to an old pureblooded family from Wales, he has a lot of expectations riding on his shoulders. His family expects him to carry on the name and prove himself while in school. Nothing but the best has ever been expected of him and, throughout the years, he has proven himself as an intelligent, calm, and logical young man. He hold the traditions of his family in high esteem and views magic as another one of his birthrights as a Monmouth. Yet he is the first Slytherin in several generations, much to the confusion of his parents. However, Geoffrey himself eagerly explains why to nearly anyone who will listen. He wants more than what his family can provide. He has every intention of becoming the Minister of Magic and shaping the future of the wizarding world towards a more stable future. The blood purity conflict is something he has repeatedly been very vocal about. His friends are his friends and he wants to see fair and equal treatment among all people. But don't misunderstand him. Geoffrey is selfish. Yes, he wants to do the right thing and make the world better. Yes, he wants to provide and protect his friends. But he wants his own glory and often, he wants it first. He thinks before he acts and balances his options carefully. He's not afraid to make a few strategic sacrifices to get what he wants in the long run. He can be snide and manipulative when it suits him, though it's been a long time since he's pulled out all those tricks with his friends. He tends to be a bit more relaxed and a lot more willing to help when he's doing so with the support of his friends. Geoffrey's a rather interesting wizard. Trained privately from the moment he started showing signs of being magical, he immediately showed an incredible lack of skill with anything requiring additional ingredients. Potions are practically impossible for him to master and transfiguration never quite works according to plan. However, he excels in charms and curses, with spells that only require the spoken components and wand motions. Because of this, he focused primarily on these spells throughout the years. Over time, he's developed quite the reputation as a skilled duelist, considering that those are the only spells he's chosen to work on. That's actually how he ended up meeting some of the Marauders, having gotten detention for dueling in the halls during his first year. A few hours of cleaning desks and organizing files will make fast friends between any two individuals and it wasn't long until he felt right at home with the diverse group of crazy young wizards.

Kiran Langdon Gryffindor // Muggleborn 17 // Male // Bisexual Oh, Kiran Langdon, where am I to start with this peculiar and irresistible being? There’s a keenness in the way this individual carries himself that clearly exposes a third of his personality. He takes after his mother’s eyes and after his father’s charm — which, in his case, is similar to that of a burnt potato. It's easy for someone to notice the way how the corners of his mouth tug upwards into a mischievous smile and the way how his brown locks hang over his molten brown eyes that are veiled with layered secrets. His eyes are curtained with long dark lashes, and most come to notice the fact that the small quirk of his lips will not fade away easily. His gaze is quite piercing, actually, almost as if they can read someone's mind without even going through the effort of trying despite his nonchalant behaviour. Here's the thing about Kiran: he may just be the epitome of bringing out everyone's ire. Most people, especially after their first encounter with this mysterious student, are left wondering what he's doing in Gryffindor. After all, his aloof and sly persona gives off the impression of an ill-tempered Slytherin, and his merciless teasing doesn't help his image being associated with the world kind. He doesn't seem to talk that often around the people he isn't familiar with — or more likely, doesn't really seem to care for. The laid-back side of his personality may irritate a few people, as he is quite easygoing to a fault and is never easily concerned or cornered to a wall, often light-hearted and good-natured even during a plight. He's also quite petulant at times, stubborn and unyielding even when there's logic being pushed into his face. His perception does him both good and bad, good usually when his head is needed to think, and bad usually when he accidentally sees past the smiles some put on just for show. Perhaps this caused his personality to take the shape of someone cynical and even pessimistic, often looking away from the more optimistic approaches others will take. But all of this? Once someone breaks past the wall he has set up, they will get to realize that what they see about this sarcastic individual isn’t everything that he is. Kiran is... well he certainly is something once someone breaks past the mask he puts up for society's sake. It's noticeable for those who have stayed with him for a long time that he uses his srardonic remarks and nonchalance as a front to keep most people at arms-length, concealing the puzzled and frankly vulnerable boy he used to be. Past his silver-tongue and mockery, any persistent individual will be able to discover the fact that Kiran Langdon is surprisingly sweet and staunchly loyal. And for the most unsurprising part: he has the bravery of a roaring lion. He would rather drop dead before he yields to someone or something, especially when matters regard the Marauders. A part of his grand bravery may actually come from his lack of value for his own safety. Kiran can certainly be bewilderingly cold and rational in a situation that requires his wits, but incredibly quiet and caring in a situation when someone is in the need of a shoulder to lean on. He's a silent listener who can and will lend his hand towards anyone who needs his help, remaining patient and astonishingly warm to the point of fault. To be short: past his flaws and enigmatic smile, Kiran Langdon is a loving soul who will go to any length to keep those he holds dear away from harm's way. Kiran wasn't born with his... let's say complicated personality. But add up all of the family issues he had to deal with, the discrimination he faced for being muggleborn, and the separation he faced just for being a wizard -- something that he'd never asked for in the first place -- and voila. His sardonic personality was born. The only person he considers as a family is his aunt: a fiery and boisterous woman who is actually quite understanding of his circumstances. It's hard to catch him in classes, though he's prone to appear when his grades are completely dying just to revive them and slip back out. Truth to be told, his goal isn't to be one of the top students in Hogwarts and doesn't exactly care for his grades, unless his aunt starts chasing him with a frying pan (which shes does quite often when she learns of his mischief and has a chance to meet him). "I don't like the idea of letters dictating my life and determine who I am," he usually says with a small shrug. So what is his life goal? To become a plant. No, but really, his indifference towards his grades can be a little troublesome. While he doesn't have an ambition for it, he also seems to value money and greatly, possibly because of the certain complications he had to face and still could be facing till now. Back in the days, he'd been a snappy child who immediately distrusted anyone who approached him, and had started to open up and laugh only after he'd bumped into the eccentric bunch he deeply cares for today.
