Originally, Lucas had been hoping his sisters would run, but now, he was grateful they had stuck around. Rebecca quickly moved to pin Alex's arm behind his back after grabbing the revolver and handing it to Hannah. Hannah kept it pointed at Alex, and the fifteen year old looked comfortable handing it. "If you hand over the key to these handcuffs, they may not hurt you," Lucas finally said, standing beside Hannah. Rebecca tightened her grip on Alex as her brother spoke as if to prove his point.

His arm spastically twitching in different directions, Alex was overcome with severe pain. "Heh...y-you're going to have to do m-much better than that if you want me to free you," he said in a cool tone, trying hiding the fact that he was about to black out at any moment. "I was literally built to destroy your kind. Say anything wrong and I'll fry your brain with my ocular laser weapons." He was bluffing, of course, if he had anything like that he wouldn't be able to see. But he hoped that the vampire's knowledge of tech was very low.

Rebecca readjusted her grip on Alex's arms to account for the spastic twitching, but she kept it tight. "I would suggest you listen to him," she said lowly, not buying what he said. They had never run into anyone with that sort of technology, and she was certain that if that tech did exist, they would've run into it. "Because you're not in any position to negotiate. I've got your arms pinned behind your back, and my sister has your gun pointed at you."

Alex began to realize he was out of options. In a last desperate attempt, he jerked his functional arm forward, tossing Rebecca aside like trash. Finally free, he raised his fist in the air for a fatal blow, but then froze. He stood there for a moment, swaying gently back and forth, before finally collapsing to the ground unconscious. The pain of his arm's snapped wires periodically shocking him and the displaced metal bits jabbing into his torso finally overtook him.
(Even big killing machines aren't invincible I guess xD)

After Alex collapsed on the ground, Hannah lowered the gun before looking at Rebecca, who had fallen to the ground shortly before Alex collapsed. However, she had quickly gotten up and joined her siblings. "Well, what should we do?" Hannah asked, glancing at her older siblings. "Well, you can begin by finding a handoff key," Lucas said flatly as he pointed out the obvious. "I'm next to useless with my hands behind my back." Rebecca nodded once and began searching for a key, while Hannah continued to hold onto the gun. The search went quickly, as Rebecca found a key. "Turn around," she told her brother. He did so without protesting, and he brought his hands forward to rub his wrists once he was free. "So what do we do with him?" Hannah asked. Her question was met with silence and shrugs. Lucas then stepped forward with the handcuffs and put them on Alex's wrists behind his back. "We can start with that," he said. "And I suppose we could drag him along with us. He needs to pay for what he's done."
(And he has to deal with three angry vampires.)

Alex's dreams weren't exactly filled with fantasy or strange events. While he was blacked out, all he could see was a command menu, like something you'd see if you opened a computer's debug console. A side effect of brain implants. The console slowly filled with words and numbers, coding relaying back and forth as his mechanical body attempted to repair itself to stable condition. His brain was almost asleep; he couldn't think or acknowledge anything about this. Chances are he won't even remember these lines of commands and code when he comes to.
(I didn't really know what to do since he was out cold so I did this o3o")

(It's fine ^^)
The sisters had exchanged uneasy glances with Lucas' suggestion, but they didn't argue with him. The more they thought about it, the more it seemed to make sense. While Alex might've only gone after Lucas for the most part, they had been chased by others and had some rough times over the course of the four years the law had existed. "Alright," Rebecca finally said. "But you're carrying him. We should be able to get away with that now that's its dark out." Lucas nodded once and hoisted Alex onto his right shoulder. He wasn't worried about dropping him; he was more worried about getting caught, but since his hands were free, he wouldn't have an issue running - and he didn't have any issues with dropping Alex if he needed to.
So now, the three vampires were out of town and feeling much more at ease. Lucas had set Alex down, not entirely worried about him getting up and running because his hands were still cuffed behind his back. It would be incredibly difficult to get up and run without using arms for balance.

Alex slowly began to regain consciousness. He tried to get up, but was surprised when he found his arms were bound behind his back. Saying nothing, he realized he had been restrained with his own handcuffs. He struggled for a moment, trying to snap the chain in half, but not even his mechanically enhanced strength could break this metal. He cursed quietly under his breath, trying to think of a way out of this terrible situation.

"Thanks for the tip" Terrel said, half sarcastically, he moved himself so he was facing away from the 'meeting' again. "I guess you aren't an enemy. Wouldn't mind seeing you again in passing" With that he started his run again, shifting Trinity in preparation of setting her down on the ground. Now seemingly out of danger, he wanted to give her a chance to get a bit of exercise. Once he was confident that he had gotten far enough away, he did just that, slowing down just enough for Trinity to get her footing on the ground. "Enemy…? You're strange, but I guess you are a vampire." They didn't seem to have very good social skills, nor intuition. "Yeah. Maybe we'll meet again," he replied half-heartedly, snorting. He doubted it. He didn't even see the people he wanted to see again, let alone random strangers he'd tried to help. He paused for a moment, then continued on his way.

Jon was having the darndest time trying to locate his partner. He should've… jumped here right? Looks like they ran that way…
Well, half of it was not really wanting to find him, combined with the fact that he could probably get back to the car when he was done. Hadn't he said something about the vampire he'd caught escaping? Right. He picked up his radio. "Uh, hey, Tracker. Right, where the hell'd you go?" Is it really that hard to catch a handcuffed vampire?

As the pair ran, Terrel had to slow himself down enough to not leave behind Trinity. Even if they were both relatively fast, age and leg length had a huge impact on Trinity's run speed. They didn't stop running till they were maybe about 100 feet from their little home. It was an abandoned home that had long been raided by the cops for vampires, so he doubted they would spend the time to come back here without evidence of the two living here. Terrel had been careful to keep all that evidence either hidden out of site or just non-existent.

Lux was heading back to his apartment. It wasn't much, but considering most vampires were in hiding, jail, or dead, it seemed like a blessing. Then again, he'd been bitten only months before the law was passed that deemed being a vampire… illegal. He'd voted against it, but that wasn't something you promoted or told others you did. In fact, most people proclaimed the law 'common sense.' Well, he couldn't exactly blame them, but at the same time…

Alex's eyes widened when he heard Jon's voice on his radio. He struggled again, desperately trying to free at least one arm so he could answer the call. Cursing again, he tried to remember if he had another implant he forgot about; built-in comms device, a laser cutter, anything. But he drew a blank and continued to struggle .

"I wouldn't answer that if I were you," Lucas said darkly with the gun pointed toward Alex. "And don't even think about trying to escape." He wasn't afraid to fire the gun if necessary. And what was one more crime to add to the list? His entire existence was illegal, which he didn't understand. He had been born a vampire, and there wasn't anything he could do to change that.

Jon waited for an answer. While he did, he decided to follow the path of blood as far as he could. He waited… a minute passed and he was not getting very far on his own. "Tracker? Hello? You could've at least told me if you were going to go on a huge one-man chase or something," he chided.
"Hey, oversized toaster, answer your com," he hissed into his radio when the past attempt was met with static. He thought, if anything, it would provoke Tracker into actually answering if he was "too busy" chasing vampires on his own.

Alex growled in anger at both Lucas and Jon's remark over the radio. "Once I get out of here I'm going to see that your fangs are knocked out and replaced with garlic," he spat as he writhed on the ground, his limbs making quiet mechanical whirs. "And I'll see that those girls of yours are impaled on wooden stakes and thrown into holy water!" Alex wasn't even sure if holy water did anything, but he always had priests bless his silver bullets, so he said it anyway. He just wanted to strike a nerve in this stupid bloodsucker.

Lucas' expression remained the same - dark and unimpressed with Alex. "Isn't that cute. You think you're gonna get out of here and find a way to hurt me and my sisters. Let me remind you that you're handcuffed and I have your gun, so I think it's safe to say there's no way in hell you're getting out of here." He flashed Alex a dark smile that was free of fangs and only contained straight, white teeth.

Jon scowled in frustration. He sighed, then switched the frequency. "Hey, Tracker isn't responding to me and I have no idea where he took off to… Yes I know we were supposed to stick together, now can you tell me if there's some way we can get a location on him?" he asked. He paused as the person on the other end searched for an answer on what seemed— by the clicking— to be a computer. "I'll check back to see if you find anything. I'm getting back on his channel to see if he's responded yet."
"So, Tracker, since you're refusing to answer or something, I went ahead and asked someone to locate your radio. You better not be ignoring me because it'll be your neck for running off, okay?" he spoke into the radio again, not expecting a reply this time.
he's sorta bluffing. Idk if they can actually track radios so should we have it be like… nope they can't find him or what? }}

( Gengar Well considering he's full of electronic parts, there most be something in him that can be tracked.) Alex went silent, glaring at Lucas, refusing to speak any more to the repulsive creature. He decided he had enough, and did his best to do a half walk, half crawl away from Lucas. All he had in mind was regrouping with the other officers, so he could end this vampire's life for good. At this point he didn't care about getting shot; the stupid thing would probably just shoot him in a place filled with metal anyway.

Lucas rolled his eyes, unimpressed with how Alex was attempting to escape. He walked over to him, lowering the gun, and knocked Alex onto his back with his foot before putting it on top and applying pressure to ensure the cop stayed on the ground. He wasn't too worried about what Jon had said on the radio because he was certain he'd be able to hear the others coming before they could see him and his sisters. "Now what did I say about trying to escape?" He asked, keeping his voice lo and serious.

"Go to hell," Alex says as he spat in Lucas' face. He began to struggle again, trying to do something to free himself from this situation. He should be the one capturing the vampires, not the other way around. The only thing that could make matters worse would be if they decided to turn him into one of those bloodsuckers somehow.

Lucas took a step back from Alex as he spat before delivering a swift kick to the officer's side. "I'm already living in hell," he hissed, getting down on the ground to make eye contact with him. "And I've done nothing to deserve it. None of us have, and yet we're treated like treated like [shoot] because we were born this way. Tell me how the hell that makes sense!"
|
|
|
Post by Sour Candy on Dec 21, 2016 22:58:31 GMT -5
After recovering from the kick, Alex laughed. "You're worthless. Your kind is a stain on this world." He sat upright the best he could with a smirk on his face. "That's the whole reason they created me. And all the other things used against vampires. All your kind is a flaw in the gene pool. One of these days, all of you bloodsuckers will be wiped off the face of the earth. And then the world will be pure again."
|
|
|
Post by Misty on Dec 22, 2016 9:04:46 GMT -5
Now it was Lucas' turn to laugh, as he found multiple flaws in Alex's logic. "Let's go over what you said and figure out what the hell is wrong with it, okay. One, you say I'm worthless. I find that funny because I can count two people who disagree." And four others who would if they were still alive. "Two, you say my kind is a stain on the world. Well, no one thought that four years ago before the law passed. Three, you say we're flaws in the gene pool. Tell me, how is being stronger and faster than a human is a flaw?" He laughed again at the idea of the world being pure. "The world's never gonna be pure. There's gonna be people who feel bad for what they did because of this law, and you're gonna find a new group to deem 'unpure.' I've studied history in school. I know the cycle."

Post by Sour Candy on Dec 22, 2016 12:01:02 GMT -5
Alex spit at Lucas again. "You want to be stronger and faster? Then you upgrade yourself. Like me, for example. Instead of becoming the human equivalent of a parasite, I became even better than humans by technology. I'm way above humans and definitely above vampires-" He stopped himself before he decided to go on another "I'm better than human" rant. This is the kind of thing that keeps getting him in hot water back at the station; his fellow officers always end up thinking he's going to turn on them because he's "superior".
