PJ is, in a sense, and though the offical name for them isn't ghost in the story she features in, Maria is definitely a ghost like spirit.

A few, but Renee and Andrew can control fire and water respectively. He's unnamed, but their grandfather can control earth.

From the main characters:
Book 1 - Theocritus
Book 2 - Staddlestön, Greyna, Laufutyal, Haiie, Baije and Lmelda
Book 3 - Soulalia
Book 4 - Kinda to be determined, though both Tawny/Epona and Gold/Samson survive, it's not directly stated and rather, implied that they did.
