Yes, I have many like that. A major one is Nadia's family though. She hates her mothers, real and adopted, never knew her birth father and can't stand her adopted father. The only person she is close to is to her twin.

Well, Niko wants a family but he doesn't at the same time. Ty hadn't thought about having a kid but he does, and Kai eventually wants twins to name Steve.

Not really nicknames, but Amelia changed her name from Amelia to something else, but I'm not posting that name here for several reasons. Jaerra changed their name to Jae.
