Brood is mute. Because they come from a world where machines communicated with each other via static/white noise, they don't have vocal cords. Though they have tried to communicate with humans using their language, it doesn't work out well. Therefore, they learned sign language so that they could properly communicate with those who know sign language. They also carry around a pen + paper so they can communicate with those who don't know sign language.

Dorian (I guess he doesn't have the biggest dictionary but his vocabulary is pretty big XD) and so is Calder's vocabulary

Ty does, but it’s old and outdated slang which he/she (both of them) use in all sorts of incorrect ways.

Marie's kind of. she's a little too headstrong for her group. Taylor kind of is, sometimes she won't tell people what's she's going to do until after she does it.

Dorian. He doesn't show it but inside it's always in his head. He's always questioning himself. And after a little incident Marie sometimes does too.

oh god lee. the cold makes him grouchier than usual (which should be impossible) and twice as likely to punch something. he just can't stand being cold

um. . .no not really (maybe further on I might give my characters something though) but Calder doesn't like water. (it's not like he has hydrophobia, he just doesn't like lakes and pools and stuff)

Most of my characters don't have phones, actually. The ones that do, though, either have a Samsung or a flip phone.
