We do have ranks, it's below your SN. You can see the top ranks on the members section.
I like this theme, it's fine for now. I, personally, would be fine keeping it. Changing the themes too frequently will cause more problems than solutions.
From what I've read, HTML was only supported in the old forums b/c it was a private, paid-for, forum. These aren't. So HTML makes everything more insecure. BBC is safer, and it's honestly not too bad. It's just a matter of re-learning. Or you can transfer old codes using Brownie's little guide that's been pinned on every section.

No, you can choose the theme. I liked the red-and-blue one.

I meant community rank. I was #911. Not kit/apprentice/on and on

Oh I didn't know you could individually set the skin, that's a pretty awesome feature. I'm sure as time passes, more will be added.
I don't think any pro boards has a rank system like that. :/ But I'm curious, so I might google it.

Yeah I don't see an option like that on any of the pro board support sites. Sorry

HTML support I left the old forums before the "upgrade", so this is like coming home to me. I was having trouble using the new site when I got on, to be honest. Oh BBCode, how I pined for thee.

BUT IT'S JUST HTML WITH [] AND LESS FUNCTIONALITY Actually, BBCode and HTML have relatively the same functionality, BBCode is just more broken down and to the point and is a forum standard, and as mentioned before it's safer than HTML is. HTML technically IS supported here, but only for building your forum, such as layout and custom pages that you have the option of making and adding to it, and as a matter of fact some areas of that require HTML if you don't want to use what other options Proboards offers. BBCode isn't as confusing as HTML and is easier to use in posts, people understand it a little better and you've got buttons at the top of your "Create Post" box that help you out for inserting links, images, and the like. Sure you can work HTML to allow more than what BBCode can, however the more you allow the less secure it is, which is why BBCode is better at least in my opinion.

A) Why does security matter on a kid's book forum? B) How is BBCode any less confusing?

A) Why does security matter on a kid's book forum? How is BBCode any less confusing? BBcode is pretty much the same as HTML, just with square brackets instead of pointed ones (according my experience). Security still matters on a kids forum, because this place is still open to the public and there is risk of some predator coming online here. Besides, it's the Internet and just security in general with hacking and such. I'm not an expert, so don't quote me on any of this. But, I think that we just need to respect the old forum's administrators and moderators for closing and appreciate this place.

I like it, I'm just having a hard time getting used to []. And scrollboxes are different. I didn't know how to do them anyway, but...

And to add, there isn't a way for the mods here to enable HTML as usable codes for us, that's something on Proboards's end and I'm pretty sure they don't have much ability in enabling it for us either. The only fields HTML is usable on here is in the Admin area where the customization features are accessible and off limits to non-staff users, so BBCode is all we have. It's not really as confusing as you think, I'll refer ya to a couple of guides HERE and HERE.

That it's BBCode instead of HTML. But really, no big deal.
