broken goldfish Kuragehime Cavey Conan cast a quick glance at Werben, who didn't seem to want to talk very much. That annoyed the detective for some reason. The small boy rubbed just above his eyes. What was up with him? He seemed so easily angered. Could it be because he was so stressed after the past two days and how little sleep he had gotten. Yeah... that had to be it. He tried to calm his facial expression, hoping Werben hadn't seen the glare that the detective has sent him. Werben noticed. A small glimmer of worry crossed his face before being suppressed. Did that mean he was making an enemy somehow? How had that happened? He mentally went over everything he had done and came up short. He really didn't need an enemy here (especially not a romantic one- he had that covered back home, thank you very much). Hopefully the expression had come from an unrelated thought or something of the sort. Yes. He would choose to believe that, for now. More importantly, he hoped that no one had noticed his own expression. Showing weakness here seemed like a bad idea. ((Note: yeah romantic enemies are a thing for his species. So much potential for misunderstandings here.)) (Oh my. xD Well, that's amusing. The misunderstandings that could come from Conan simply glaring... I love it.) Conan noticed. He had to, since he'd been looking right at Werben. A voice hissed in the back of his subconscious that that guy was weak. Simply worrying over a little glare? What was that about? It snared. I need to get more sleep, thought the detective. It's starting to effect my brain. That wasn't to surprising. In the space of a day he'd found out magic and other worlds were real, run into a thief from his world, and been caught in an earthquake and a fight with a... whatever that vampire had called that bug thing. Horseman of John. And now he seemed to be worrying whatever Werben was...he was sure that Werben had told him, but he had forgotten it because he'd figured it was unimportant. Conan backed up and slid down the wall until he was sitting. Something was wrong. Had he really forgotten something because he thought it was unimportant? What was up with him? He was a detective... he should find anything like that unimportant.

The sudden sitting seemed an awful lot like body language for submission, perhaps, or internal conflict. Victory? Social situations were confusing. He decided that the best course of action was to just wait and see what would happen. He would glare back if more glares happened. Werben refused to risk being caught off-guard again. He wasn't going to lose the upper hand more than he already had. He wasn't aware of it, but his expression had become fairly intense with all this thinking. ((His species has quite the romance system, so there's quite a bit of potential for misunderstanding everywhere. He'll be quite confused when he realizes that the rest of the universe doesn't do that, I imagine! Looking forward to all the shenanigans this will cause.))

Preferably the weak and worried one. Conan's eyes were hard as he looked at Werben and it was becoming harder and harder to notice that he wasn't angry for any logical reason. The small boy tried to wrench his attention back to the room, but everything was just so... infuriating! Why did he have to be here?

Let Conan take that as he would. These were almost definitely mixed signals. He didn't even care. It was mutual, so it was okay. (He was getting dangerously close to starting something with an actual alien. A big part of himself was saying that this was a bad idea, but the rest was quite happy with this.) He attempted to start an impromptu staring contest. That was something people did, right? Whatever. Close enough. It was getting hard to care about that, possibly because he had just been transported to a strange world and he didn't know if he would ever see any of his friends again. Or his home, or his belongings, or his parental unit. It had been a hard night. He was entitled to some irrationality.

mintedstar/fur: "I hope it stays that way..." Calli whispered. She took a step forward as well after Hyuse, her eyes always on the tendrils of light. "Do you think it's alive? Or... what if it's like a ghost or something?" she wondered. She stuck close to the neighbor, and after a moment hesitantly reached out a hand. ~~~ Zig-Zag: Hozuki nodded. "Yes, actually. We came to this city from a different one. An earthquake occurred in the original so we fled to the surrounding forest, and after a bit of travelling we came across the city we are currently standing in," the demon explained. "However we are so far unaware of any other areas like this." ~~~ broken, Reen, Fire the Watcher of the vale, and Mint: Luffy paused the flurry of punches and retracted his arms back to normal length, panting a bit. He spread his feet a bit further apart and scanned over the area of action. Any lizard that approached him was met with an instant hard punch to the face, effectively sending each one flying (it's a habit of his). ~~~ Cavey, goldfish, Mint, and broken: Noctis nodded briefly at Conan's answer to him before sitting himself down in one of the old chairs. He ran a hand through his hair, he still had a bad case of bedhead, and decided to watch the group quietly from that chair until Prompto returned. He took out his phone and checked a few things to make sure it still worked, and when he looked up from it again Conan and one of the new guys seemed to be in a staring contest or something. He raised an eyebrow but just shrugged, slipping the phone away once more and leaning back in the chair.

Fire the Watcher of the vale"I might have to show you something later, then." Jason smiled, glancing over at Amarie, who was holding her own with Rai at her side. I'm lucky to have these two by my side again... I feel complete. He mused to himself, as he stabbed a lizard in the heart.

broken Auransky Monarch looked after Akira, smiling, rather amused. Well, if that was how they were going to climb down the stairs... He followed after Akira, vaulting over the rail and landing much the same why he had. He grinned, half mockingly at Akira. "You just like to show off, don't you?" he said, unaware he had echoed the cat.

He felt a bit stupid, but everyone has a right to be stupid sometimes. It was better than having an actual conflict, anyways. Werben didn't like the idea of getting in an actual physical fight at the moment; after all, he had already revealed his pyrokinetic abilities, which he would count as his trump card.

They weren't prescription glasses, just a fashion statement: and a way to shame society without directly looking at people in the eye. Silently he readjusted his glasses. "You are insane joker! I'm glad I wasn't with you during the police chase!" The cat meowed in protest .

(( Okay, here are my forms! ^^ ))
Character name: Flowey Screen name: ƑƖσωєу тнє ƑƖσωєя OC or Cannon: Cannon What they're from: Undertale Description: Flowey is exactly what his name suggests; A flower. His stem is green, and he has six yellow petals and a white face. He can manipulate his expressions into many different forms, ranging from cute and innocent to just downright terrifying. Personality: One might expect such a character to be nice and willing to help. Indeed, he can act as so, but truly he does not feel positive emotions, so any act of kindness is most likely just a trick. Without a soul, he lacks the ability to truly feel sympathetic and happy, even if he tries. Due to this, he'd much rather see those around him suffer, doing everything he can to gain more power. He is easily upset as well, and at times unpredictable. Power: He is able to use vines, and summon what appears to be small white bullets. Age: Unknown
Character name: Frisk Screen name: ƑƖσωєу тнє ƑƖσωєя OC or Cannon: Cannon What they're from: Undertale Description: Frisk is a small child with short brown hair and blue eyes. She wears a blue sweater with two pink stripes, jean shorts, and brown boots. Personality: She is usually quiet, only talking if she feels that she has to, or if she feels comfortable enough to. She is always striving to do her best, and helping anyone in need. Frisk would rather make friends and come up with peaceful solutions than form rivalries and violent conflicts, but will fight if she has no other choice. Power: None Age: Unknown (Possibly around 10-13?) Other: In the game her sprite shows her eyes closed all the time, so no one truly knows her eye color, the eye color is just what I think it is. Also, I'm sorry if any of you view Frisk as a different gender than female, but that's what I portray her as.

This was more of a waiting game than those green creatures had given them. But why a warning shock? Why not just go for the full thing? "I'm starting to wonder if this thing wants us alive... Otherwise, why isn't it killing us. We can't get out without touching those tendrils, so why not just close in?" he muttered.

mintedstar/fur...Okay, that wasn't right. Werben let his face relax as he continued to stare at Conan, taking in the obviously distressed posture. He tried to figure out the reason for this, but was drawing a blank. What could have caused Conan to become so upset so suddenly? He had seemed fine just minutes before. Despite the glaring that had just happened, Werben felt vaguely worried for the stranger. Perhaps he would confront him about it later on. Yes, that seemed like the best course of action.

She turned, pushing through a set of bushes again and was greeted by the river once more. The blix didn't think there were any more monsters around, but the last of the sunlight had faded and it was a perfect time to be caught unaware. She quickly made another fishing pole and pointed to a nearby bush. "Those berries are edible. I don't know whether any fish will still be about in the dark, so try and see if you can fill yourself up with those." She turned to look at the moon again. Setting up a fire would also not be such a bad idea. "Would you like a fire, Liz?" she asked.

Maybe after a good night's sleep, everything would be normal again. The awful thing was, now that he traced the day backwards, he'd steadily been getting worse. When he'd first ended up here yesterday, he'd been fine. Then...something had happened and he'd started to get more moody and snappish. Now he was getting into staring contests with the new guy and his head was betraying him. What was going on? And a better question: what could he do to stop whatever it was?

They are certainly a pain," he slowed the pace a little more with a sigh. "We better be careful if we do ever run into them again. Apparently they almost kill humans and make vampires mad, though they didn't seem to affect you." He turned around as he spoke, now walking backwards. "Perhaps you were immune or maybe you weren't around them for very long. Either way, we're glad you came to help us." brokenArlo looked down at the floor, pushing a large piece of broken glass aside with her shoe. It hadn't really shown much, but she had been affected by the creatures, and in a way, she was still being affected by them. It was probably part of why she'd been talking as much as she had since they'd escaped from the creatures- she needed something to help distract her from the images in her mind. "I-I think it was because I wasn't around them as long you two were..." she paused then glanced up, smiling slightly. "I'm glad I was able to help."

A strange new area… Flowey had never seen this place before, and he really wished that he wasn't wherever he was either. He would be searching around for clues of his whereabouts, if it weren't for Frisk carrying him around in this stupid flower pot. Ever since Frisk had taken him to the surface (even though he basically yelled "no" at her the whole trip back to her home) she had kept him in a small flower pot. He wanted to escape, but knowing Frisk she'd be upset if he did, and after she had somewhat saved him he felt a bit of care for the human, even if it was hard for him to understand. Now that they were without the others back at home though, he felt he'd have more freedom. Frisk surveyed the landscape around them, seeing nothing but grass, trees, and the silhouettes of abandoned buildings in the distance. "Where do you think we are..?" "Gee, what a great idea to ask me, because I have no clue!" The flower retorted with sarcasm and annoyance clear in his voice. "Don't be like that, Flowey, I'm just trying to figure out where we are.." "If you'd let me out of this stupid pot I could help." Flowey smiled innocently. When Frisk looked away without a response he grinned. "What, you don't trust me?" Frisk continued to ignore him, wandering towards the city off in the distance. Maybe something there would help them find their way back home.

mintedstar/furLiz nodded and followed her through the bushes and glanced around nervously. "Ok, but you should eat some too." Liz told her picking a berry and trying it. Her nose wrinkled slightly at the bitter taste but ate another one anyways, since you can't be picky. At the mention of a fire she said "Sure, would you like me to get some wood?" She glanced at the night sky, a bit nervous about wondering around getting wood but planning on doing it.

mintedstar/fur Auransky(My bad I got the M's mixed up ) "Oh my, what a rude man you are? What makes you think so wrongly of me?" Rin asked, looking between the two before following after him. "And I must say, you are correct about the tree. You obviously don't know much about climbing, do you?" She giggled softly, soon quickening the pace to take the lead. "Anyways, to the electronic store!" -- 𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒏(I have someone open, he's in the city, but I'll have him wander away from the group that was stopped.) Ciel had been just standing just inside the supermarket the group was at, watching everyone from where he stood. It was obvious that they weren't going to be moving anytime soon, so he thought he'd just check around the city to see if his butler was around. He was looking for him even before he ran into this group. The boy turned, and headed out of the supermarket, looking both ways once he was out. He just decided to go in a random direction, which happened to be towards the woods. Once he started to hear faint voices, he stuck his hand into his jacket pocket, grabbing for his handgun, but he did t pull it out. "Sebastian?" He called out. -- --cato phoenixEven though Mikaela looked happy for a brief moment, it soon faded as he continued walking through the store. He paused by a few shelves and looked at a few things, but he never picked anything up. He glanced back at Arlo, shrugging. "I guess we owe you one?" He slowed the pace a little more, looking at what she had grabbed. "Anyway, is that all? Should we return to the others?"

She set up the fishing pole, though she didn't hold out much hope. She looked up at Liz's suggestion to go get firewood. "I can do it. You stay near the river, alright?" Before she could get an answer she disappeared deeper into the forest. All she had wanted was an excuse to leave for a couple of minutes. It would be a good chance to see if that monster that had been knocked out was still there. Though it was sightless, it could still offer useful information in the future. The connection she made via biting could last for untold lengths, time, and other contingencies. Only two things could sever that connection. She would get firewood as well, of course...

mintedstar/furLiz watched Vanessa leave and sighed quietly. She already missed her brother and home, the forest was odd and completely out of her element, plus she felt very vulnerable in the dark. After eating a few more berries she set down a small stick and used her power to make it fly into her hand. The monster was still knocked out from the stench potion.
