If Leafpool never went out with Crowfeather, do you think the Three would have never been born?
I think they would have been born either way. The prophecy was very important after all. Hollyleaf might not have been around but Jayfeather, Lionblaze and Dovewing were always going to be born, they just would have had different personalities and pelt colors.
Really, Leaf X Crow was just drama filler for the series and it wasn't needed. I mean the couple was cute for a while and all, but it just made Squirrelflight suffer when Leafpool made the choice to leave her family for a WindClan cat. The whole drama wasn't necessary. Even if Leafpool did leave, ThunderClan would have eventually had another medicine cat from a different Clan like how Cloudberry came over when Ravenwing died.
