I feel responsible to post my story here because I was tagged, lol. Also I'm Crookedstar32
I joined WCF when I was in 5th grade and it certainly showed. That was 4 years ago. I had read all of the books the year prior in 4th grade and discovered the site by the link on the main warriors page. The forums were the first website I really joined period. I felt a connection to the site and loved checking notifications and talking about random crap. I hardly spoke of the books. I met Wildpath on there and several other great people in a roleplay, I think I still have all the characters saved on my iPad. It was 150+ pages and I felt honored to be a part of that. I chatted a bunch in the off topic area, I made friends there but we lost touch as the site went down but we were growing distant even before then.
I was on vacation with my iPad when I heard the news of the shutdown. I and just reached SMBU and felt devastated that I wasted so much time for a rank and now it was just disappearing. That was inbetween my 6th and 7th grade years, I was so lost and thought a piece of me died. I didn't want to lose these relationships. I moved to my DeviantArt and have stayed there ever since. I met more people who had taken cover from the shutdown there and got to know them quite well. With my recent inactiveness I lost close to all of them. That's one of the things I regret the most. Ever since the shut down I celebrate November 4th, the day I joined, but leaning back and trying to relax in a hectic life. The forums will always be a huge part of me.
ahh I know I'm forgetting some. I'll edit this more later.
i was a few names. ~Icyleaf~ ~~Icyleaf~ ~вυмвℓєвєє~ ѕρяαу ραιηт мαяcнιηg вαη∂ or ᴍᴀʀᴄʜɪɴɢ ʙᴀɴᴅ I'm not sure which, and idk what symbols i had for the last two. ~Icyleaf~ ended up being banned for profanity (even though i never swear lol) And then i switched over to ~~Icyleaf~ which i changed to ~вυмвℓєвєє~. Then i couldn't remember my username since the forums layout changed, so i made spray paint, which i can't exactly remember what happened to?? Then I made Marching Band, which i believe was my very last user before the forums shut down.
WELL, my main clan was called Vineclan c: And I was in very few roleplays.
As for rank, i think i was a starclan member, and an elder for a majority of the time i was on there

I started out as brightfire9 on the old forums on May 2nd, 2011, and changed my SN to B R I G H T sometime in 2013. I almost made it to SMBU... but prior to the original forums shutting down I really hadn't been online in a year or so. In my early days I think I mostly hung out in OTD, I also joined the forums when I was like 9 (it certainly showed too lol). Gradually I began to merge into Fan Clans which is most notably where I became part of Thistletooth's BloodClan, which was one of the most prominent BloodClans on the original site. BloodClan was deleted in 2013 (after being on the forums for nearly five years) and we moved to our own website soon after. Unfortunately, that website became defunct and I haven't talked to any of my BloodClan friends since 2014 :cc I was also part of ~Sandclaw~'s Clans of the Lake RP, which lasted from 2012 to I think like 2015. I know I'm forgetting a ton of other stuff ahh, but the original forums were a great deal of my childhood ;.;
(I might have posted here previously on an old account that I am no longer using)
On the Original Warriors Forums I was Jayflight. If I remember correctly I joined in July 2009 and I think the forums opened earlier that year. I was about to turn 13 at the time. I remember I joined one roleplay clan, but it was when posts took like, 2-3 days to get checked out and posted, so it was very difficult to roleplay at the time.
My main 2 clans I was in were Duskclan and Ravenclan. Duskclan kind of fell off in 2012 I think. Either it just fell apart or I just kind of left. I can't remember. Ravenclan also started to become pretty inactive around 2012/2013, since most of the members were in High School, including myself, and things just got a lot busier. We never fully disbanded or anything, just stopped posting, but for a long time we were a pretty big clan. A few of us did end up catching up with each other on there, and when we learned the forums were going to be shut down, we decided to get a Free texting app called Viber, so we could continue to talk with each other. I think we even thought about restarting the clan on this website, but it never happened. We still occasionally chat on Viber, even nearly 10 years after some of us first met each other.

Artemis Moon: Pretty sure nothing I do is normal, but sure. Reading that much in one sitting is perfectly fine and happens to us all.

Sand: I'll let it fly ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ as long as it's periodic, not incessant

Morior: i read 132 pages in one siting yesterday and planning to do it again today. The book I'm trying to get through is 1,338 pages long soo...

Ṣanɗypaw™: It's normal. One time after I got home from checking out a book from the library, I finished it all.

Ṣanɗypaw™: And it had like, one or two hundred pages, I think.

Violetsky: So I found out why none of my packages have been arriving. I had the wrong street address presented in my retail store accounts. Whoopsie!

Morior: on an ereader it tracks how long it takes you to read 1 page and then estimates how many hours/minutes it will take you to finish the book for a lot of the shorter books on mine it says only 2-3 hours

ѕρσσкуѕку: I remember when Sunrise first came out and I read it in just over two hours. It was pretty fun. I can't do that anymore though, takes too much mental energy for me. I usually tend to only read 1-3 chapters in a sitting now.
Nov 24, 2020 6:03:34 GMT -5
Violetsky: I try not to do the same anymore either. Not because I can't, but because after waiting for the book to arrive from Amazon for a week to several months, only to devour it in a matter of hours, would seem like such a waste in my eyes. :/

Violetsky: To each their own though.

Hopewish: lost stars was the first time in such a long time that a warriors book caught my attention and held it

Violetsky: On a side branch, Dawn of the Clans could have been so much better imo.

Lizard: I think Dawn of the Clans is amazing!
Nov 24, 2020 18:35:14 GMT -5
Violetsky: Well it's not that I didn't like it- I think it was serviceable for the most part -I suppose I just set my expectations too high?
