{I think it's a little too soon. Mainly because we still haven't played out the aftermath of the shooting ya know? All the characters need time to either change mentally and develop, that sort of thing}

I was thinking of one of the medics making an assembly to talk about what happened and maybe start accusing Belle of stuff or someone like Maddie who gets really worked up about it. And then Belle can justify herself and maybe counter her accusations. Up to you though}

Steven had been gone for quite some time from the group, it was something that he always did leave for runs that lasted quite some time. It was a good way for him to relax without the worries of following orders everyday, that didn't mean he slacked off while doing runs, in fact he always did his best though he always took some time to just mess around. At this current moment he was skating on his old torn skateboard back to the school carrying a bag that was filled with the goodies he had recently received during his run. The sound of the board on the pavement was music to Steven's ears the school was a mere few minutes away so he decided to switch to walking. So he jumped with the board onto a nearby bench railing it for a second before grabbing the board, and jumping landing on his feet with the board in his hands.
From here Steven walked placing the skateboard on the ground he had no intentions on bringing it back to the school, instead he always hide it for later use. From here he walked however hearing the familiar sound of the dead caused him to stop. "Hey buddy." He greeted the rotting corpses doing so of course caused it to turn it's gaze to him, and start walking. "Say cheese." Steven laughed as he quickly took his camera from his neck, and moved so he was in front of the zombie, and took a selfie with the rotting creature. He then took a few steps away, and looked at the picture. "Nice, thanks man." He commented letting the camera fall down so it was dangling from his neck again. He then grabbed the wooden baseball bat that was strapped to his back, and he based the zombies head in. "You're memory shall live on, peace." He spoke as he bowed before he continued his way to the school.
Reaching the building he simply entered calmly, and right as he did already feeling that something had just gone down. "Nice, Steven you missed another fun event." He chuckled tossing his baseball bat on the ground, and began walking to Belle's office figuring she'd clue him in on what he missed. Reaching her office he gave a little tone of a knock. "Yo it's me." He spoke not evening knowing if she was inside.

How long was Belle sitting at her desk in the old Principal's office? Minutes? Hours? She couldn't tell, everything was like a blur. As I'd none of what had happened had gone down. But why was she so worried and stressed? Belle did what she could, she saved the boy by putting him out of his misery. No one seemed to appreciate her efforts unless it worked in the medics' favor. Like they were the almighty, all powerful beings of the apocalypse. They were useful to have yes, but they shouldn't be influencing everyone's decisions.
Belle didn't realize she had her gun in her hand still until she slammed it on the desk when someone knocked on the door. She thought it was a medic, maybe because she was thinking about them, but was glad when it was someone else. She was still flustered but unlocked the door anyway. She opened it to see one of the runners. Belle gave him an uninterested look. It'll probably be the look she gives everyone for the next few days. "What the hell do you want?" She asked in a very edgy tone. However, she motioned him inside anyway.

Steven raised an eyebrow slightly at that greeting, but simply shook it off as he entered the office. His eyes went to the gun on Belle's desk it looked as if it had been used quite recently though Steven just shrugged it off again as he turned his gaze back to Belle. "You should really calm down, it's not good for you... Might get wrinkles." He joked to her slipped off his backpack, and tossing it on her desk. "I got some good stuff while I was out." He informed as he rubbed his chin slightly trying to remember what he had all obtained it'd had been over a week so he got a few supplies over the course of the week.
"Though I didn't come here to tell you that." Steven quickly added as he crossed his arms in a idle stance. "Judging by the environment in the school I'm assuming something big went down." He stated his gaze going back to the gun before returning Belle. "I was just hoping you tell lil ole me so I know why everyone has a sore pus face on." He didn't really see what could have caused such a big drama in the school while he was gone.

Belle didn't watch Steven move around her office. One of her hands was on the doorknob as she looked at the glass. She clenched her jaw so tight when he told her about wrinkles that she thought her teeth might break. She was about to say something about how wrinkles didn't matter anymore, but she felt like she has said too much about what didn't matter today. Belle let go of the doorknob and leaned against her desk. Her legs were crossed and her arms were folded against her chest. Belle looked at the ground for a minute.
"A lot happened today." She started off, switching her gaze from Steven to the floor and again to Steven and again to the floor. "We had some scouts and runner go look for medical supplies and what food they could carry. While they were out, they saw a little kid in a store so they decided to bring him onto school grounds. I don't trust outsiders, never have. I don't care if he was five years old or fifty, a stranger is a stranger. But when I looked him over, he was bit on the hip. The medics wanted to run tests on him like an animal. They wanted to try and save him, but I think we all know we couldn't have. What makes this time any different than the previous who were bit. He was a threat to the group, so I put a bullet in his head. Now the medics are pissed off at me because I didn't give them a chance. But they had plenty of chances before this, don't you think?" Belle was about to start going on a rant, but she stopped herself. If he wanted more of an explanation on why she shot him, Steve would have enough sense to ask.

Steven watched her with his normal calm face as she explained what happened with the boy. His face didn't show any emotion on the subject mainly because he was the same way with strangers in fact when he was on solo runs strangers where merely enemies which is way he found it weird someone thought it a good idea to bring back one even if it was kid. "I see." He commented finally as he realized the silence was going on for a while he plopped a seat on her desk as he looked at her. "Kinda of makes me ashamed to be a runner now." He commented rubbing his chin. "Bringing in a stranger is one thing, but bringing in a bit stranger.... eh that's treason." He stated his opinion quite frankly his opinion on these subjects always annoyed people, but he was like Belle he saw the world for what it is.
"Though I'm just a simple runner." Steven quickly added to his previous treason remark as he jumped off her desk. "I'm glad at least our leader is smart." He added as he looked at Belle. "You did nothing wrong." He stated showing he had no signs of losing loyalty because she killed a kid. "This is a new world, there are no kids, teens, nor adults. Everyone is a survivor, everyone should be treated equally." He was merely speaking his mind at this point sure it sounded mean of him maybe though it was how he felt. "The rules in this world exist, for a reason." With that he lifted up his camera. "I just wish I could have been here, that'd been a big scoop for my magazine." He laughed looking at his selfie with the zombie he took before returning. "So is that all I miss?" He questioned calmly.

Belle looked at Steve up and down when he sat on her desk. He was the only person bold enough to do it. Everyone else jusy took a seat on one of the chairs facing the desk, or stood up. They knew how Belle felt about peooke messing with her belongings.
And his comments on the killing made her feel more confident in her desicion. He was right. There were no kids, teens, adults, they were all the same thing: survivors. She gave him a quick glance though before responding, "Don't go telling the medics that. They don't want to hear anything I have to say, or anything that doesn't agree with their motives. I want them to open up their d*** eyes already and realize that the life we had, is gone." She paused before adding, "Rolf was the most mad at me though. He threw me against a freaking wall for Christ's sake. I want to talk with everyone though. And tell them what the world is really like if they hadn't realized it yet."

(Good night.)
Steven raised an eyebrow the moment she mentioned she was assaulted by a member of the group. He had mentioned treason already, but assaulting the leader, well that was treason no excuse. "Lucky for him we have a forgiving leader I guess." That was all he chose to say this time, though he knew one thing stuff like that shouldn't be allowed to go down. He was trying to debate on what to say now on one hand he wanted to advise her to do something about these fools, but on the other hand he kinda of wanted to stay silent just in case giving advise like that would make her mad. "All I know is, if you punch an army commander you're bound to be punished." With that he moved to the door. "Though like I said earlier I'm just a mere runner." He then lifted his camera, and took a picture of Belle.
"Sorry, just wanted a picture of you before you get all wrinkly~" Steven teased as he looked out the door into the halls. "Kinda of messed up the medics wanted to play with a zombie know that I think about it." He commented reaching into his pocket taking out a cigarette pack though anyone knowing Steven knew it was tobacco. "No matter what these fools do, you'll always have good ole Steve's loyalty." He promised sure he seemed disrespectful sitting on the leader's desk, and speaking freely though he was a loyal follower when it came to it, as long as he agreed with you that is. He placed a smoke in his mouth, and lit before looking back at Belle. "Want me lilo Steven to keep you company til said meeting?" He offered with a playful tone.

Forgiving...was that who Belle was? She didn't really know anymore. She just wanted justice. Rolf shouldn't have even thought about assaulting her in the way he did. Sure everyone was emotional, but just because you were emotional, didn't mean you can attack your leader without valid reason. And only because she had gotten rid of a problem. Though, that was a horrible way to word what she did to the child, it was beyond true. Why did no one else see it that way? The medics and their friends were always in their little bubble of the past.
Belle patted Steven on the arm before moving her hand back to it's crossed position over her chest, "I hope you realize that you're probably one of the only people here I would ever really vent to right? If I feel like venting that is." She smirked. Belle was tempted to take a cigarette as well, but didn't think she needed something else to try and kill her in this world. She didn't want to go to the medics for black lungs. She didn't want to go to the medics for anything. Belle was much to prideful. She nudged him in the side when he told her he would keep her company, "That would be nice. I thought I wanted to be alone, but that made me more stressed than being with someone else."

"Well I'm glad you comfortable around me~" Steven teased as he walked back over to Belle's desk to reclaim his seat since he was going to bother her since the big meeting. As he took his seat he grabbed his bag trying to remember if he had grabbed anything good while he was out. "Not many people who would be comfortable around a guy who plays with the dead." He laughed remembering the faces people gave him when he showed them pictures of him taking selfie's with the zombies. As he said that though he took out his camera, and showed his latest work with Belle a picture of him smiling while pointing at a zombie who was walking towards him. "Oh yeah!" He snapped placing his camera down on her desk as he remember something.
Digging in his backpack he found the bottle of whiskey he had obtained from a store while he was out running. "To bad you all went out, and got all serious on me. I had a huge party planned, man." He joked as he placed the bottle on the desk, and looked back in the bag. The rest of what was inside was two cans of chili beans, a bottle of some type of medicine, and finally underneath it all wrapped in towel was rusty bard wire he stole from a farm house fence. He had always wanted to recreate a weapon he saw in a comic, and with this he'd be able to just that when he got to it. "If you weren't about to give a bad speech I'd offer you to drink." He laughed as he put his backpack back down.

Belle was never fond of one of her own group members being so close to the walkers. However, Steven had proved himself to be careful so far. Hopefully it stayed that way. She watched as he dug through his bag, and her excitement grew a little when she saw the whiskey. "Are you kidding? My dad has let drink his beer since I was 10. I can handle a bit of whiskey." Although, she did not move over to it. She could wait for Steven to open it, if he wanted to that is. Belle pushed herself off of the desk to inspect the barbed wire he had in his bag. The uses for this were endless if only they could get enough. From weapons, to securing fencing, barbed wire can do it all. It was universal like duct tape, but a different kind of universal.
"Those are some nice finds Steven." She commented as she went over to pick up the whiskey. "I haven't had a drink since the s*** hit the fan. Hopefully I won't get too drunk. That is, if you plan to open it." She handed him the bottle and went around her desk to put away her gun. She didn't need it out in her office. When she left her office though, that was another story. If Rolf had the guts to attack her, who knew how far the story has spread and how badly everyone would love to sock her in the nose.

Steven watched her for a few moments before picking up the bottle, and turning the cap so it popped off the bottle. "If you think you can drink it, and not get wild with your speech later today be my guest." Steven laughed handing her the bottle to take the first drink from the bottle. "Just don't blame me if you wake up tomorrow after giving one of the most hilarious speeches in the world." He warned, and rubbed his chin slightly wondering if this was a good idea, however he then decided everything was a good idea in his world. His mind then went to her compliment. "Everything is for the group, though I'm keeping the bard wire. I wanna make myself a cool weapon." He added realizing he should tell her he was keeping that before she came up with ideas on how to use it.

Belle took a swig promptly after Steven. It wasn't bad for post apocalyptic alcohol. She looked at the label on the bottle with satisfaction, it felt nice to taste whiskey again. Especially after all of these months or years that had passed. She passed him the bottle again in case he wanted another drink. "You found it, keep the barbed wire. Just bring back more whenever you get the oppritunity for the group." She blinked a couple times and shook her head, the strong taste of the whiskey had just now hit her. "Wow, woo...that's a little stronger than I remembered." She chuckled.
{No problem, mine have been short too since I'm working on stuff}

Steven took a drink it didn't really effect him strong enough for as one would guess just by looking at him he had done this quite a bit already in his life. "Oh, no just don't go making weird decisions I don't need you blaming me if you do something dumb." He laughed handing her the rest of the bottle as he took his camera to look through his recent pictures. "Feel free to keep what's left I'm sure to find more tomorrow when I head back out." He commented this was one of the problems with Steven being a member of a group he wasn't one to stick around for to long before disappearing again. He was going to leave that night after dropping out the goods, however now he wanted to see what was going down before he left again.

Belle took the rest of the bottle of course. She took another swig and then set it on the desk. "You don't have to head back out. We'll be okay for another couple days. I don't think a lot of people trust me with organizing runs anymore anyway." She sighed and rubbed her temples. Belle was starting to get a migraine from all of this. Of course, she would never go to the medics. She had a better chance getting struck by lightning. "Even if it wasn't my fault that the kid was bit and brought back here, they will blame me for it anyway because that is just who they are. I need someone to help me keep my sanity. And Dagger will probably end up siding with his brother eventually." Belle didn't like to think of this as begging. It was more like...reasoning. That was how she could put it, for herself.

Steven raised an eyebrow as she talked it was odd feeling like he needed to stay. Since this whole outbreak started Steven has always been a one day here, three weeks out there kinda of guy mainly because he wanted to find some good stories. Sticking in one camp, well that wasn't going to help him. However it seemed Belle might need him to stick around, it wouldn't do well if crap hit the fan while he was on the road. "Not one person is taking your side?" He questioned kinda confused on that was the whole group stuck thinking this was the old world still. That thought.... kinda of made him want to leave. He didn't want to be stuck in a group who cried because they killed a human, sure it was a kid, but still. "I guess I can stick around, for a few more days." He sighed though it was quite clear he didn't like the idea.
It was weird for him to even say that for the reason was always a drifter was because his crew, his pre-zombie skateboarding crew all died, and ever since then he had stuck to roaming the lands only returning to the roast when he wanted a small break. "I can stay til I get my bat upgraded." He decided finally that would take at least three days enough time for Belle vs the group to come to a head. "I hate to say it though... If ole Stevister is the only man taking your side not sure the group will last." He spoke his honest opinion.

Belle pushed herself up and sat on the desk, "Not everyone knows what happened though. I don't talk to everyone here actively. They just know that I am leader, what I say goes. Hopefully anyway. Sometimes I want to tell them that this isn't a democracy anymore. It never was. Because if it was, we would all be dead by now. Because those who have it good with the medics and the medics, would obviously get more votes than I could, because most have a college education. It's great that they are educated people, but that won't help you if you don't have common sense and have a tactical view of things. Which is probably why I got chosen to be leader." She moved the whiskey away, losing her intrest for it. "If they won't listen to my word, the next best thing is to get them to listen through other means. Call it harsh, but I might have to cut their food rations dramatically until they can learn to cooperate. If it got to the point, I may have to use brute force. Whatever it takes." She rested her head in her hands. Why did it feel like it was her versus the medics? Maybe it was. Was that what it was coming down to? Were they falling apart? That couldn't be determined now though, she would have to see how divided the group would be once she made her speech. If she made one, that might make things worse.

Steven watched her closely as she talked, and shook his head slightly at the punishment. "I might be overstepping, and if so please forgive me." He started with that as he felt what he planned on saying might annoy her since he was about to give her advice. "Starving is one thing, but in the long run all that does it drive a mutiny by making them hungry." He informed he then spontaneous left the office heading to the entrance to obtain his baseball bat. Returning to the office a few moments later. Placing the bat down he looked at Belle again, "I've been around the block a few times during my runs." He informed he had seen a lot of things because unlike the other runners he left without being told to leave, and when he left he traveled quite the distance. "The thing I learnt while I was gone is the key to getting people to listen isn't hunger. They can solve hunger by finding food, but what there's one thing you can't solve." He placed the bat on the ground, and reached up to his face taking off his eyepatch. He had lost his eyes during the early days of the apocalypse, but no many people know why. "It's things like these you can't solve." He informed his eye socket where his eye used to be was clearly visible now. "When my friend found out I was seeing his girlfriend he didn't starve me, nor did he kill me. He taught me a lesson." He informed not many people knew the story of how Steve lost his eye just that it happened during the apocalypse. The friends he spoke of where long gone having died in a running accident when one of them fell off a roof, and the others tried to help him.
"If you want them to listen, I recommend fear." As Steve said that he pointed to his eye socket with a serious face on, but after a few seconds he smiled again reaching for his eyepatch. "But like I say don't listen to me I'm just a silly skater." He laughed as he put back on the eyepatch, and turned to Belle. "Though if you scar someone permanently, and make the others see it they should listen." He stated as he rubbed his chin. "Though that's just my kind of philosophy." He laughed as he sat in a chair this time, and lit another smoke.

It was then that there was another knock on the door, this one quiet and hesitant. Zero tried to control his shaking hands, terrified about what he'd just heard. He had only come to inform Belle that their food stock was looking much better, and had ended up hearing things that he most definitely should not have. He felt like he should tell someone, but the fact of the matter was; Zero understood why Belle had done it. He also understood why the medics were angry. He just wanted everyone to calm down, and discuss things rather than solve it all with violence... 'this is how groups are torn apart,' he thought to himself, shaking his head.
