Arabella paused when she saw him struggling. She went over to his hands, and attached another rope to them and to the saddle horn. He would have to squeeze his legs to Merek to hold himself upright. But at least he can't go far.
"I didn't send them. Maybe someone else did, but I haven't seen them before." Her tone softened a bit. If this was going to be a long ride, she wasn't going to keep the tension up in the air. She hated uncomfortable silence. Cain sighed sullenly and looked away from her, annoyance and sadness in his blue eyes. If only he'd ran faster, he thought to himself. Maybe he'd be with his parents right now, helping to defend the kingdom. He curled his hands into fists, nails biting into his palm. It wasn't fair. He'd tried so hard to escape and... here he was, tied to the back of a horse, with his kidnapper walking beside him trying to act as though this weren't something he should be stressed about. He shot another angry glare in her direction, unable to believe she was actually trying to make the situation less tense.

Arabella knew he was giving her angry looks. It wasn't a secret. It was like someone could just tell when they were receiving glares. Especially if you got them often enough. "Give me all the angry looks you want. But trust me when I say it won't help you." She got to a small stream that she almost groaned to have to wade across. He'll probably laugh, but that was what royalty does, laugh at other people's misfortunes. Arabella's pace only faltered a little bit before she stepped into the stream. It was shallow sure, and not horribly wide, but the horse would kick up water nonetheless.

It was shallow sure, and not horribly wide, but the horse would kick up water nonetheless. His lips twitched at his captor getting soaked; a little bit of payback was enough to finally calm him, at least a little. He felt sorry for the horse though, knowing the stream would be cold. He began to nervously wonder where the girl was taking him, and he worried his bottom lip, glancing around to try and remember landmarks.

Arabella crossed the stream finally, and shook out her boots individually. She could tell he was getting a laugh out of this, even if he wasn't laughing. "You may think I deserve it, but I'm only doing my job. I have to earn income somehow, am I right?" She didn't look at him when she spoke. Arabella regained her composure and took a deep breath before moving further into the woods. Hopefully there wouldn't be too long of a trip. His silent mocking might kill her before his knife.

Arabella regained her composure and took a deep breath before moving further into the woods. Hopefully there wouldn't be too long of a trip. His silent mocking might kill her before his knife. 'Ah yes, because kidnapping a crown prince from his kingdom is the perfect job for beautiful young women such as yourself.' He replied, tongue laced and dripping with sarcasm. 'You do deserve it.' He added, looking away. 'I sit here with no knowledge of what has become of my parents, with no knowledge of what WILL become of my kingdom if they are dead, on the back of a horse, kidnapped, being taken to some unknown place.' He stopped to catch his breath, then looked down at her. 'Give me one good reason why I should not be mad at you.'

Arabella's cheeks went a little bit pink when he called her beautiful, but she shrugged it off. He was a snotty sarcastic prince anyway. She would have said something he would have found offensive, but Arabella but her tounge. Literally, because if she didn't she knew she would say it. She let go though when she figured it was appropriate: after his little rant. "I never said you shouldn't be mad. I think you have every right to do so, but maybe you should have a...more open mind?" She worded it like a question as she was trying to figure out how exactly she wanted to word the phrase.

'Good idea.' He breathed, grinning. 'I will politely speak to my captor and willingly allow myself to be captured, and not worry at all about my future!!' After he'd finished speaking his expression once again became stressed and annoyed, and he looked away from her. 'Open mind.' He muttered, practically spitting the words.

Arabella halted in her tracks and whipped around to face him, "Do you need a handkerchief? Because I can practically see that snotty personality of yours coming out of you!" She huffed and turned back around. Maybe 'open mind' wasn't the right term, but she hoped he would get the idea. Apparently not though. "I'm enjoying this as much as you are. Do you think I want to have to trek through the woods with you?" She added on in a somewhat audible tone, "royal pain in the a**..." she led Merkel around a tree stump, which she was thankful she did not trip on a root.

'How does being ANGRY at being KIDNAPPED make me SNOTTY!' He exclaimed, now even more p***ed off. He flung a not-so-kind insult at her, wishing nothing more than to be able to harm her at this moment in time. 'Self righteous little...' He snarled under his breath.

Arabella's eyes widened in surprise at what he called her. She held a hand up to her ear when she heard him mumble, "Self righteous what? I couldn't hear you over your ridiculously loud ego. Rich pr***." Arabella would have done something if she was allowed to kill him, but she stayed somewhat under control. She had an idea spark in her mind though and turned around to give him a grinch like smile. "Since you enjoy my company so much, I might as well sit up on that horse with you." She practically barked the next sentence, "How does that sound?"

He sneered, finally sick of trying to humble her, and instead acting like how she appeared to so-want him to appear. 'Or perhaps you'll dirty my clothes? Maybe I'll be allergic to your peasant hair.' His eyes gleamed maliciously as he said all of this, despite subconsciously feeling horrible for what he was saying.

That's it. She's going up. Arabella kept his hands tied, but moved the one that tied him to the saddle horn. She instead lengthened the rope and tied it to where you would place your feet. So he had enough rope to pull a little and move a bit on the horse, but he was still restricted. "You may be a prince, but you sure as hell aren't charming." She moved herself up on the horse and purposely flipped her short hair in his face, "I hope you're allergic to my hair."
{They're off to a great first date huh? XD}

{They're off to a great first date huh? XD} He wrinkled his nose. 'I don't need to be charming to an ape like you.' He responded, raising his chin. 'You don't deserve it.' He took this chance to properly look around now that she couldn't see him, carefully taking note of his surroundings.

"I truly do feel sorry for the people you rule over. It's pretty obvious you're the judgemental type." Arabella didn't have to know him that well to understand that. She wasn't stupid. She felt sorry for not only the people but the poor girl who would have to be married to him in an arranged marriage. Maybe she can save that for later. "And what would you of all people know what I deserve? You don't even know my name." She rolled her eyes.

Hello. Mind if I claim number one? That is, if there's any other plot points you have in mind for it/you wouldn't mind deviating from it a little down the road. Because what's there can only get us so far.
Or, potentially, we could continue/use the plot that we did before? Because I really did like that plot.

Why the hell would I want to know your name?' His wrists were starting to hurt and he wriggled them around a bit, getting grumpier by the second. He couldn't stand the situation he was in, and he couldn't understand why this woman thought he was some stuck-up man with a superiority complex. He hadn't actually done anything wrong except defend himself against his captor, and he was quickly tiring of her attitude towards him. He decided to keep his mouth shut and give her the furthered awkwardness of pure silence.

"Hey, I just said you don't know me well enough to judge me. I never cared if you knew my name or not." She turned her head to look at his hands and she caught him struggling, "And trying to break free, will only make the pain worse." Her gaze went up to the prince for a fleeting moment in an expression that meant Really? She assumed he was slightly smarter than that. But maybe ] was wrong about thay too.

He completely blanked her, his gaze set on where they had come, eyes distant and full of so much worry and pain it hurt to look at. The breeze ruffled his hair and he blew it from his face, finally tearing his gaze away and looking down at the saddle, refusing to speak anymore to her, legs already aching from the lack of his being able to use them.

Pfft, it's fine. I wasn't waiting, I was actually busy that entire time.
Hm. I would sorta like to continue that? It's still medieval+eventual romance. Because I have plans for Jube. Mainly that he's such a shallow character I need to try to give him some more depth.
