Zero blinked, then released his first proper noise, and indication of his voice; a low laugh, smooth as honey, and very pleasant. He leaned down, grinning, and wrote underneath; /Thankyou. It's a strange mutation caused by my albinism. Apparently the lack of colouration in my outer irises clashed with the blue in the centre, and so they became this weird violet colour./ Now feeling more relaxed, he leaned against the wall and even offered her a friendly smile. Corrine smiled at his laugh. She brushed back a few stray curls and wrote:
It reminds me of a quilt—a quilt my mother had, she thought—of those colors.
Corrine realized this wasn't much to respond to, chalking:
My name is Corrine. I forgot to tell you that. Not very smart. I was no straight-A student, anyway, in school. Well, this lady who lived in our house kicked me out. I was the weird one. Which I have nothing against.

(Sure! I believe that's corinne and Khari)
Zero nodded slowly and smiled at her warmly, seemingly unbothered by her strangeness. He wrote underneath, /I'm an artist. I was doing quite well before the apocalypse/ he shrugged.
Rolf then came around the corner. 'Ah, Corinne, there you are. Belle needs to see you in her office.' He looked at Zero, who immediately stood and walked to his brother, hugging him in greeting. 'You too, Zero. I'll see you there- I need to find Khari.' He grimaced as he spoke his middle brothers name. 'Let's hope Dagger is in a better mood today.' Zero softly said, and Rolf nodded, heading off again.
Zero waved at his young friend to follow him, pocketing the stone for later use.

Rolf found Khari sat on his bed set in the gym, relining against the wall with one leg tossed carelessly over the other. He was fully focussed on his book, but looked up as Rolf came in. "...what do you want, runt?" He snapped, turning to the next page.

Corrine's chalk touched the ground and was about to write something when Rolf rounded the corner. Corrine pocketed her chalk and saw Zero pick up the rock. Corrine heard Zero talk and had to bite her lip to stop from beaming. She quickly followed when he beckoned her, each step long and brisk. She pinpointed Rolf and had better means of following.

'Belle wants to see all of the runners.' He said. 'Can you come with me, please?'

From what I've heard, someone else has died. How many is that now?" He stared at him, his eyes clear of any guilt as he spoke, before he stood up. "Lead on, dear brother."

Corrine quickly cut in front of Zero, walking like a nervous penguin, and slipped in the leading position. She skidded into the office, halting with jazz hands extended. She did a shallow curtsy and stepped out of the doorway. "At your service," she proclaimed.

He nodded, quietly leading the way out, pushing his hands into his pockets.

A few minutes later, Rolf politely knocked again and walked inside, instantly moving to stand as far away from Khari as possible, leaning instead on Zero's shoulder. The mute smiled down at his darker haired brother, and nervously looked up at Khari, offering him a wary smile.

Khari looked at him, then followed, continuing to taunt him as they walked. "You really are useless. Can't even defend yourself. You ever going to grow up and start?" He looked down at him. "Even before all this you were useless." He quickly shut up when they arrived, his sneering expression changing to a pleasent one, showing nothing of his original demeanour.

Corrine grinned at Belle's own smile.
She heard Khari's words and and frowned. They were all in their twenties, right? You were supposed to be mature by then.
She remembered what Belle said and quickly shut the door. It shut with a click. Corrine turned back to Belle, catching enough of her commander's words to know what she was supposed to do.

Zero figured this was where he was needed, and walked forwards with Rolf to translate for him. He leaned into his ear and began to whisper softly. 'He says we're out of bread, but we have plenty of canned food. Expendable food is running out extremely quickly and there's not much left in the stores that will last. We have enough water for now, and it will last us at least a month.' He glanced at him and listened again. 'Low on batteries and leisure, although these things can wait before everything else. He agrees medical supplies come first.' Rolf looked at Zero and raised his eyebrows; the mute nodded, signifying he'd said his piece.

"It could be moldy," Corrine pointed out, only partially answering the question. (I know this is a *gasp* one-liner, or close to it, but I can get deeper when she has a bit more to react to. It's only a brief thought.)

Rolf translated for Zero again; 'he says he's not sure, but that he's confident the runners can find some of them.' Rolf looked at Khari and Corrine, then back at Belle.

"We can carry plenty between us, but a vehicle would ensure that we bring plenty back. It would also allow for us move quicker, although it would be less....conspicuous." Khari scratched his neck, then moved to rub his temples gently. "We'd need a big car to carry a lot of stuff, if it works that is."

{{ for this, it would be smart to have a group of scouts go ahead. We have three scouts so all of them should go. Same with the runners as there is also only three of them. Rolf can join (if you want) as he could instruct what to grab and such. The scouts can keep lookout whilst the runners grab the supplies. I'm going to say no to the cars as it is an apocalypse and there would be like no gas, so if cars are used it would be to run away if a mass zombie attack occured on the school, not for a medical supplies run. Also, I think it will make it more dramatic if the group has to run and hide from a zombie attack. }}

We'll need to have the scouts alerted then once Belle has figured a plan, and then the scouts, Rolf and runners should have a meeting to plan their 'attack'? 'Escapade'? I'm thinking of a word but I can't remember it 😂)
