I personally dislike Goosefeather very much. I don't want him to go to the Dark Forest, but I believe that he should regret some of the bad things he has done.
First of all, he is responsible for Crookedkit's injury. He chased a kit, that's right, a kit, just to get it off ThunderClan territory. Crookedkit was a kit, so of course he wouldn't have much common sense to go onto ThunderClan territory. But Goosefeather didn't need to chase them! He could have simply given them a stern warning. He can chase a warrior out of his territory, but why a kit?! And medicine cats are supposed to heal injuries, not cause them. So technically, it's Goosefeather's fault that Stormkit was renamed Crookedkit, because of a broken jaw. (Yes, i also hate Rainflower a lot). Its also Goosefeather's fault that so many of Crookedstar's close family died. If Crookedkit hadnt been injured, Mapleshade wouldn't have come to him and asked if he promised to be loyal above his Clan to all. Crookedkit wanted to prove himself, despite his injury, that he was a loyal cat, so of course he said yes! But then, the promise was taken literally, so Crookedstar's family died. Plus, that is the reason stupid Rainflower rejected him.
Also, Goosefeather caused trouble with WindClan. He claimed that the fact that a piece of prey had blown fur on one side and straight fur on the other side meant that WindClan was bound to cause trouble. He demanded that they attacked immediately, before WindClan attacked. But there had been no sign of hostility between ThunderClan and WindClan. Still, he wanted the Clan to steal their herbs. Moonflower tried to, but BAM. She was killed by Hawkheart, another bad medicine cat. Honestly, I think Hawkheart didn't need to kill Moonflower. Just fight her off. Medicine cats are not supposed to kill, so this drove me more insane than I already am. So Goosefeather, blind to reality, is basically the cause of Moonflower's death. There had been no trace of tension between ThunderClan and WindClan, so he should have at least told the Clan to be cautious instead of telling them to downright attack for no good reason but a silly piece of fresh-kill. So he is the cause of the tension between ThunderClan and WindClan!
So, this is why I hate Goosefeather. What do you think?

I personally like Goosefeather. What happened with Crookedkit was accident and was actually supposed to happen considering that Crookedstar was always destined to suffer and become leader of RiverClan. Also, keep in mind that Goosefeather also tried to warn Crookedstar about Mapleshade.
As for the omen thing, another accident. Goosefeather seemed to genuinely believe his omen was true and given what he'd been through as a kit, I say it's safe to say that he'd become so used to seeing visions that he started seeing them everywhere. What's interesting about this though is that this "omen" was the only one he got wrong while every single one of his other predictions were correct.

I still think that Goosefeather should stop and think before he does things that will hurt other cats. Plus, it was his fault for Crookedstar's injury. He chased the kit, and Crookedstar (Would have been Stormstar) would have been safe. Plus, Goosefeather needed to think about his omen before he went and had the Clan attack. Moonflower died because of this! One good warrior, dead. Goosefeather should have waited a bit, and just warned ThunderClan. There was no trace of tension between ThunderClan and WindClan before he stepped in.

There was no trace of tension between ThunderClan and WindClan before he stepped in. Crookedstar ended up becoming a great leader for his Clan anyway as he was always meant to and breaking his jaw might've actually been a good thing. Stormkit was clearly spoiled by Rainflower and was overly confident even when he was called out on his actions and he may have grown more arrogant as he got older. This stopped after he broke his jaw and Rainflower began neglecting him. I'm not saying he deserved it, but to be fair, the accident wasn't entirely Goosefeather's fault either. And there actually was a bit of tension between WindClan and ThunderClan since WindClan was being accused of stealing prey and it's been mentioned that it's happened before too, so you can't really blame Goosefeather entirely for the tension.

I felt like his e-book was very rushed and should have been a super-edition.

Goosefeather was driven to insanity by his constant visions. He lost his mind, and all reasoning with it. I can't really hate him for that, and I actually pity him. He was isolated pretty much his whole life due to his powers, and that didn't help with his mental state.
He was a good medicine cat at one point--as this is stated many times in the book. He just lost himself in all the visions he was constantly forced to witness. I think anyone would drift into madness at that point tbh.

Oh, and apparently he also died of a brain infection. So there's that. He also suffered a former of dementia later in life as well (all confirmed by Vicky).
