Ravenstar nodded. "I am sure he will. But, if you like, I can ask Leafblaze to have Mintpaw stay in her for the next couple of moons. Just in case something might happen." The medicine cat apprentice was new but was needed. Crowpaw could do it, but he had a feeling the elder medicine cat apprentice was needed more for Leafblaze.
(I am like, 95% sure we are loosing all seven members on Saturday. I've heard nothing from them.)

(No. I don't think so. As long as Echo comes back, we should be ok. We can just have Echo receive the message and send Crowpaw on the journey.
I need to advertise more for this clan. Maybe a warriors wanted sign?)
Ravenstar tilted his head with a frown. "No. I don't think so. I just figured it would be easier, and that way, you wouldn't need to leave them or wake up the whole clan in order to get help."

He noticed that Brooktail was looking at him, and waltzed over to her. Was she looking for company. Company from a handsome tom cat? He smiled flirtatiously as he sat next to her. "Well, hello .." Shiningsoul grinned.
♦︎ -- Ivypaw, meanwhile, had been on a walk. She was just about to go back to her nest when she noticed the two loners in front of camp. She padded up to them. "Yo, who the hell are you?" She asked. She looked them both up and down. A little female kit, and a tom, about her age. Why did they think they could just sashay into the clan? Yet, Ivypaw also had a feeling of curiosity. Brooktail gave Ivypaw a hard stare, warning her to behave. She turned back to look at Shiningsoul. She could tell that the tom was flirting but ignored him. "These two young cats just wandered in. Don't really know anything yet." She replied calmly with a flick of her tail.

He started by shuffling slightly closer to her, only an inch between their pelts. He then turned to Ivypaw. "Why don't you go talk to these kittens? Surely you'll find a fun thing to do with them. And no sass, little lady." He said, smirking down at her. " The warriors are talking." He turned back to Brooktail. "As I was saying ..."
♦︎ -- Ivypaw rolled her eyes at Brooktail and glared at Shiningsoul's condescending tone. She then turned to the two other cats. "Brooktail's no fun. And every cat knows that Shiningsoul just loves to flirt with any female warrior he can see." She wrinkled her nose at the last sentence. "The name's Ivypaw." She flicked her tail towards herself, smirking. "I'm the apprentice who makes everyone angry." She added. "Because I'm a brat." The pretty she - cat nonchalantly started to lick her paw. |

Brooktail gave him a long look before nodding. "Fine. So, what were you going to tell me? Was it something about helping them out?" She asked as she glanced him over. There was no denying the tom was good looking. But it didn't really stand out to her. She would rather go below the looks.

If possible, Brooktail would have face-palmed. The she-cat let out a heavy sigh. She ignored the comment about her eyes in favor of turning to the younger cats. "No! You can't chase them away. One looks like she is still a kit and the other is just an apprentice!" She hissed quietly back. The she-cat's back bristled lightly at the tom's tone, but she still said nothing.

Don't be intimidated." He looked over at the little grey kitten. "Hey munchkin!" He smiled proudly. "I know it's probably kind of hard to look up at a clan cat especially one as, ahem, accomplished. I have never met a loner as young as you." In fact, he had never really been this close to one. A thought came to his mind. My father was a loner. A loner who kicked my mother into the dirt after she became pregnant. Shiningsoul's face darkened, and he looked away. |
