"Mate, I'm from Scotland. This is every day attire for me," Temma said casually, drying her hands with a clean towel. "It was the easiest way of showing the scarring." She tossed the towel onto a table, shoving her hands in her back pockets as she examined her work on the engine. "I read it. I used to take up residence in a library - read almost every book cover to cover before the walkers found me. History, technology, medicine - I enjoyed reading it all." Temma walked past Daryl, picking up her tank top from the ground. She immediately knew she didnt want to put it back on, so she tossed it into a barrel of clean-looking, but spoiled water. She would wash it up later.

"Thanks for your consent.", said Daryl grumbling to her quietly as he turned back to her with his eyes focusing on her mostly. The male said,"So what now?" He frowned when he looked at his boots and he yawned. He turned back to Tessa as he stretched tiredly from running earlier.

"You're getting some sleep," Came Temmas responce, walking back into view with a new tank-top on, this one free of grease or oil stains. :Follow me," She led him through a doorway and into a short hall - two doors, one on the left, one on the right. "The left one's mine. Feel free to take the right," She said, opening to door to reveal an average hotel-like room - a bed and basic furniture. The window had several layers of tar over it, with iron bars crossing both horizontally and vertically. "It's safe, i assure you - the outside is filled with with bricks." Temma said. "There's a box of men's clothing in the closet - some might fit. Water still works, it's just cold. If you need anything, i'm over there. Feel free to come in at any time."

Daryl followed her yawning again with tiredness. "Thanks Tessa for everything.", whispered Daryl to her before entering the room and took off his shirt revealing his scars on his back and his tattoo saying his name on her chest. Taking off his boots, he went into the area where Tessa told him about clothing. He changed swiftly into pajamas he found. He slipped into the bed and warm sheets feeling like it was home at last without this nonsense happening.

Temma was in her own room, her hair tied back more loosely than before. She held an old, battered picture in her hand, a sad expressoin weighing down her face. Tracing the small childs face in the picture, she choked back tears and gently set the photograph back on the nightstand, hand shaking. She took a quick shower, ignoring the cold water, and pleated her hair to keep it away from her face. Wearing a pair of sleeping pants and a tank top, she collapsed onto the bed, curling unto the fetal position and ignoring the sheets as she fell into her usual fitful sleep.

sure to what time of day? ] Daryl was still awake staring at the ceiling for a while remembering the death of everybody he cared about. Tears strolled down his cheek touching his beard that was starting to form. His brown hair was hit against the soft pillow he found hiding in a corner of the bed. Sighing, he closed his eyes started to fall asleep closly letting go of those memories that tore himself apart.

(Basic morning, perhaps. We could involve something really dramatic this day? Zombies find them?)
Temma was awake by the time the sun was just barely touching the sky blue, her hair up in a pony tail and wearing a pair of loose cargo pants with her usual tank top. Grabbing the bag she always had with her, she headed back into the work area she affectionatly called "Garage." With a mug of instant black coffee, she quickly got to work on the engine, sliding completely under the table and prying at a rusted bolt silently, as to not wake her guest.

sure ] Daryl was awake and he wondered off into the same room as Tessa except shirtless. " Good morning Tessa.", mumbled Daryl to her as he rubbed his eyes with his hands trying to stay more alert than right now. He looked at her coffee and asked her," Could you make me coffee as well?"

"Done. Look at the other table," She said, voice muffled as she held a wire carefully between her teeth, brow furrowed in concentration. Sure enough, another mug of coffee awaited the man. There was a spark, and Temma hissed in pain before rolling out from under the table, calmly sitting up and grabbing a white strip of cloth from the table, wrapping it around the burn on her hand and tying it off before getting back under, not bothering to properly care for it. "Careful mate- the forge is burning. Wouldnt want you to get burned without a shir-" her sentance broke off with another spark, a hiss of surprise. Her accent really came out as she muttered her frustration. "'Ai wee bloody things, 'an't even properly mold yeh damn dummazz techie..." she trailed off as she finally completed the circuit, huffing in relief as she rolled out from under the project.

Daryl said, " Thanks." He went over to get the coffee she made as well for perhaps him. Daryl was now more awake than last time and asked to Tessa ," You need help?" He offered help to her since he heard her angry and probably frustrated at not fixing it properly. Daryl wasn't the mechanic guy, but at least he could help her rather than watching Tessa struggle.

Temma took a moment to gather herself, exhaustion weighing her down like the last few months. Dark circles were forming under her eyes. Finishing the last of her coffee, she rubbed ehr face with the heels of her palms, before replying. "Yeah, actually. These chords and wires," She listen a small box fro the ground, placing them on the table to show three different colors. "Need to be sorted before I cane use them. Each color comes in three different lengths, so thats nine different piles. If you could do that, it would save me an hour of cursing," She let the joke slide with a tired, quirky grin, unwrapping ehr burned hand and dampening it with some water and drying it, just wrapping it again. Ducking down, she laid on her back on the roller and pushed herself under, going right back at the wires underneath.

Daryl nodded trying to find the wires she told him about and said," So just sort them out?" He was a bit confused and the last thing he needed was making this forge thing blow up the place like a spy would cut the wrong wire in those movies Daryl seen before.

"Yep. Short blue ones in one pile, Medium blue in another, long blue in a third; for all three colors." She huffed a sigh of frustration, then something dawned on her. She quickly got to work. Sounds of metal against metal, wires being snipped, sparks flashing - Temma stayed silent, brow furrowed as she connected wires, the movements requiring more control than she had at the moment, her hands shaking badly. Rolling out from under the table after a good hour of work, she flexed her hands, hoping the shaking would stop. No such luck.

Daryl gonna fail so bad XD won't make him succeed like others will. lol ] Daryl started sorting the wires on different columns to make it organized well. He did what Tessa told him and what shocked with some of the sparks that flew out of the wire's endings or beginnings. He pulled a long blue one like Tessa described one and without noticing, a spark flew out and hit his bare chest. Daryl dropped the wire and in pain he shrieked quietly, but not so loud enough like a new-born child.

(Awe, poor overgrown lad xD)
Temma snorted as she witnessed this, a smile quirking up her lips. "No harm, just a sting," She said, her voice shaking with surprssed laughter at his shriek as she handed him a damp hand towel to press against the small burn. Her hand screamed in pain from the rather nasty burn, but she didnt seem to care as she looked over what he had done so far. "So far, so good. You're faster than I was my first time, aye lad."

"Yes, I do agree.", said Daryl as he grabbed the towel she gave him. He pressed the towel against his burn and said," That hurts, I don't see how you don't feel the pain Tessa. "

"I feel it, I just don't let myself care," Temma shrugged, arms folded out of habit. "Once you get one bad burn, the others seem distant." She rose the edge of ehr tank top - just a touch, to let him see a massive burn scar. It wrapped all the way up her side, interfering with the scars her parents had given her in her early years. Placing a cup of regular water down for Daryl, she turned to go back to the engine, despite her shaking hands.

Daryl cringed from her scars knowing that was going to leave a mark. "So what are we going to do with the geeks?", questioned Daryl as he watched her get back to work. Daryl grabbed the water and started drinking it since he was thirsty.

"How about the game plan?" Temma offered, raising an eyebrow in his direction before sliding under the table once more. Her voice was slightly muffled as she spoke on. "Well, the engine is almost finished - all Walkers hate water, even the super-Zombies, so I'll be putting it in a boat i have stocked with enough supplies to get us to the Home Base Armada. Getting the engine to the boat could be an issue, unless you'd be willing to use your bike." Another spark, another huff of frustration as she was burned again, her hands too unstable to be twisting wires safely. She pressed on.

(Same though... should it go cannon eventually?)
"Time waits for no one," Came her tired voice from under the table, a spark followed right after. This one was purposeful - to weld two wires together. Even though her vision was blurring from focusin on tiny parts for so long, Temma refused to get out from under the table - she needed to get to Home Base Armada. Her sister was waiting, merely ten years old. Temma finally, reluctantly, admitted to defeat - loss of vision was the last thing she needed, and her hands were shaking unforgivably. Rolling out from under the table, she rubbed her face stressfully.

Perhaps, but needs more development.) "You okay down there?", asked Daryl bending down to see her and he cocked his head to the side wondering if she was alright. Daryl smiled at her with narrowed pale green eyes looking at Tessa for a while still full of care and hope that this all went well.

"Peachy," Temma said tiredly, dropping her hands and waiting as her vision slowly sharpened again. It would take a few hours for it to be back to normal. "No worries, mate, i'm tiptop."She reassured, getting slowly to her feet, forcing herself not to shiver. She felt her skin flush, and her heart plummeted - a fever. Not good - she couldnt afford to have a fever, not when she was somewhat low on medicine. (Alright, i'm sure it'll progress)

"Just a fever," She assured Daryl, but her vision suddenly funneled, and she stumbled against him, lithe form fevered and her face flushes from fever. Shivering slightly, she pulled from Daryl, leaning against eh wall for support. "Sorry," She said, voice dull as she shivered, her skin flushed.

Daryl blushed a bit when her accidentally touched his body. "Oh it is okay, I get it. Fevers aren't fun at all and I guarantee you it isn't.", told the man as he grabbed the glass of water Tessa given him. Daryl smiled at her his pale green eyes scanned Tessa and said,"You should take a break y'know, so you don't overwork yourself Tessa."

Temma scowled at the idea of taking a break. "Time doesn't wait for me," she said, even as she shivered from fever. She huffed and turned to a table, sorting through tools as her hands shook slightly. Any other person would have taken a break - but Temma had a reason to be as quick as possible. Her sister was alone at the Home Base Armada, and she was determined to get back.

Temma huffed, "Overwork, heh..." she took ahold of a few scraps of metal, tossing them into a bucket to be melted later. "I just need to get to the Armada, and soon." She perched on a chair by the sorted wires, automatically pairing those with compatible material.
