I think the hype for him is overrated. Honestly, on other sites almost every Hawkfrost fan I've seen has his fans fawning over him and/or shipping him with Ivypool... and cats who aren't Ivypool. I've even seen a few ship him with Whitewing of all cats. He doesn't seem to be too overrated in terms of his actual role in the story, but even then I just never cared too much for him. I've seen somebody write complete fanfics about WhiteXHawk, claiming that they were "made" for eachother and that Hawkfrost was the father of Dove and Ivy. She also hated the ship WhiteXBirch claiming it was disgusting and that Whitewing was too old for him, but they were willing to put Birchfall with Hazeltail and Cinderheart with Ashfur. Which I guess the Cinderheart and Ashfur relationship was "okay" and not "disgusting" because they were bad characters and Cinderheart was "stealing" poor old Lionblaze from Icecloud. I know the one you're talking about and I think I talked to them a few times too. The person also shipped common ships JayxPoppy (and even made a headcanon that Poppyfrost was just using Berrynose to make Jayfeather jealous), and Lion(heart)xFrost, but also odd ones like FirexMisty and RedxMaple. They also shipped DarkxBrindle. Funny how most of these ships have age gaps, some larger than others, which they've stated they're not fond of. |

On a lot of cites he is really overrated. I personally like him, but I don't ship him with anyone or think of him as hot or anything. I do like his design and his manipulative personality, and I think he is really fun to draw, but I am not obsessed of him.

He is definetely overrated. Honestly, I stopped liking Hawkfrost after OOTS (even though I try not to judge any characters based off of what they did in OOTS). I liked him when he was alive like, a dangerous manipulator, but after he died, he was just a typical villain, copy of Tigerstar.
