@thewolfsshadow Nice! I've got biology with a lab that I'm really excited for. phantomstar57 That's funny that she's still so playful, especially because I'm sure she's much larger than most other 9-month-old kittens! I saw some Maine Coons at a cat show once and was very impressed by their size and beautiful coats.

I think it leans a little more towards the agri aspect of things rather than pure zoology. Like, zoology is all animals and I think animal science focuses more on companion animals and livestock.

She is LOL She is on the small side for most Coonies I've had in my life, but she is larger than full grown Orion. Maybe its just tall lanky Darwin that makes her look so small LOL She will grow some more. I fell in love with the breed so many years ago and just have to have them in my home. . .

phantomstar57 Wow, is Darwin on the larger end for a Maine Coon, then? Sounds like you've got a lovely crew of cats at home.

phantomstar57 Wow, is Darwin on the larger end for a Maine Coon, then? Sounds like you've got a lovely crew of cats at home. Yes he is. He is just over 16 pounds but he's not yet two years old and our vet says he's a bit too skinny so he has some filling out to do. By 4-5 years old he'll be fully grown and may hit 20-25 pounds depending how his musculature fills out. But he is as long and as tall as my Kai was, who was a 25 pounder, and not overweight!
Abby is my 1st female Coonie, and they are smaller overall. Too used to the big guys LOL But I think she'll end up the sizze of my Warlocke, who was about 11 pounds and should have been 12-13. He too was on the lean side. She's not lean so may end up 12-13 pounds or more. hard to say because sometimes between 9-12 months they have this growth spurt. Abby looks small next to Darwin but when she's next to Orion, my black DSH, she is taller and longer than he is by quite a bit!

phantomstar57 I know I keep saying "wow" but it's a good word for Maine Coons! One of my cats was 16 pounds once, but he was overweight at that point. He's just a big DSH and usually weighs around 14 pounds. I never realized it took Maine Coons that long to reach full size, but now that I think about it, it makes sense, since large breed dogs also take a while to reach full size. @thewolfsshadow All righty! :3

His buddy Phantom wasn't a Coonie but evidently thought he was as he grew to be a big athletic 18 pound DSH. So funny because his mama was a tiny 7 pound little thing. We have no idea who the sire was.

Hey Mint! I'm very busy, but doing well! Haven't had time to work this at all, I've mostly been focusing on The Fox and the Pigeon when I get a chance to write. Which isn't often, as classes have only just started and I've got a lot of homework already.

I'm getting better at writing cliffhangers—this makes my third ever. And thanks for your understanding, I've got a lot of homework. I will work on it when I can though, 'cause I miss writing for for fun.
