Thanks! )
Ula recoiled as if struck. The words hit her hard in the abdomen directly where her heart was situated. Yes, she feared failure and death and the thing in front of her. She was a giver of life (at least to plants at the moment), so it was natural for her to fear death right? It was contrary to her every being.
The water began to still and tremble, reflecting how Ula was feeling at the moment. The moment was so insignificant, but she felt gutted. It was amazing how this beast - Milgirn - could affect her so much with his broken sentences. Stupid. She clenched her jaw, the wretchedness slowly (but surely) being replace with agitation. Why couldn't the dumb thing just leave her alone to wallow in frustration by herself?
When Milgirn revealed his beak, Ula's lips separated in a growl, "Don't come any closer! You can speak to me from there!" The water once again began to swirl as Ula regained control of her emotions, "Why are you here? Is it pick in The Soul Shepard day or something?"

Bane flinched when she said he could be a wight. He hoped to never become of of them! He nodded his head as she continued. "Yeah I need to just believe in my abilities." He was starting to feeel a little better now. "Thank you for that and for talking to me. Think other wolves are scared of me."

Igneel's eyes slowly opened and he sighed softly. Who was that being??? He wondered silently. He looked around silently and sighed, seeing he was alone. He wondered how long he was asleep, whether it has been days or hours or minutes.

Hawkeyes258"It all starts when you accept it," Yaukhsha agreed. When Bane thanked her, she said "No one should avoid talking to someone they've never met if they don't know the whole story. They wouldn't be so scared if they permitted you to talk with them, like we are now, not scared of each other." @tobster100 Onsha was padding over, looking at Igneel. Sitting in front of him, the elder spoke "You okay? You were twitching in your sleep, and made a few faces. Must've been dreaming deep." Actually, Igneel had only been asleep for about an hour, so he hadn't missed much at all. @shootforthestars (I've been called forum turtle x3) "Milgirn... wishes to... stay..." the creature said simply "Here because... curious... of such a whelp..." Blinking slowly, he continued "Not... picking on. You... overly sensitive..." Then, he paused, finally registering that Ula didn't want his presence any closer. Righting his tilted head, the creature spoke "Fear me... why? Milgirn has done nothing to the Shepherd..." "What... troubles you...?" The hiding thing asked, genuinely curious "Can talk... to me..." It was obvious the newcomer wasn't going to leave Ula alone anytime soon. Eyeing the water, Milgirn said "Water... bothers..." The bushes twitched for a second, and the water came crashing down. No, whatever happened didn't block or take Ula's powers or anything. It would remain unsaid for now. The beak formed a smile, and said "Better... now sit..."

Igneel nodded softly. "At first I was having nightmares then I was in this white expanse with a lake. And there was this gray, empty-eyed wolf that asked me a weird question then told me some stuff about us Five and that Lilith is okay." He said softly, looking over at his mentor. "How long was I asleep?" He asked.

"An hour, I think," Yhatsha spoke, turning to Igneel "And how do you know it wasn't just some odd dream though? Just something you thought up?" He looked over at Onsha, who asked "This wolf... did they ask you the whole "head or body" question?" She looked at him curiously, as if she was piecing something together.

Igneel looked at her, eyes widening in surprise. "Yes! Yes that's exactly what it asked me!" He woofed in surprise. He then frowned softly. "Wait how do you know that?"

"My grandfather told me," Onsha said "That Ankhen would ask its followers the same question if it thought they'd changed in some way. Met with them privately in their dreams, because it vowed to not return to the mortal realm." After, she glanced around and said "It usually took shape of an eyeless old lump too, which is why I asked."

The color instantly left Igneel's face. "Th-That was ANKHEN?!" He woofed, his pelt fluffing out in surprise. "Oh my... and I was a bit rude to it too!" He said, his face paling even more. "I'm sorry Ankhen!" He called out, burying his face in his paws. He then looked at Onsha and his mentor. "Anyway it told me that Lilith is still alive, but I'm not sure where." He woofed, trying to sit up again.

"I hear Lango has an idea," Yhatsha said "Probably where the Wights call home. If it ends up being true, there's nothing we can do for her for the time being." An ear flicking, he listened to Onsha say "If Ankhen bothered telling you squat, it's probably still a possibility that Lilith could be brought back. We just need the numbers. Did it give you any details, Igneel? About what to do?"

Igneel shook his head softly. "No, all it said was that she is alive." He said sadly, managing to get to his paws. "But if she is at the Wight epicenter, I need to get better quickly and improve my skills so that I can help." He said. He was already feeling much better and he looked at Onsha. "How do you feel? Can I help heal you?" He asked.

"My body does not receive pain in ice form, like I was in earlier," Onsha said, shaking her head. Yhatsha then spoke "You alone can't help her. Neither can any of us aiding you. Your best chance would be getting help from another Sentinel or two." Looking around, he said "I see Bane talking to my daughter, and I don't know where Ula is. Perhaps you can tempt them later to help you. Once you get permission from Lango to even go looking of course."

Igneel nodded slowly. "Alright then." He said with a nod. He then looked up at his mentor. "Can we go work on powers?" He asked as he tried to get up, and shakily managing to get to his paws. "I'll go nutso if I stay in here all day." He woofed.

"Sure," Yhatsha decided, watching Igneel get up "Just don't do too much. You only just recovered from draining yourself." Looking up at the setting sky, he continued "And only for a little bit anyway. Lango said we must sleep at night, remember? I think you and Onsha have had a long day anyway." Turning, he led the way to an area in the Haven where training was done.

Igneel followed after his mentor, smiling happily but walking slowly. He was still a little tired and weak, but was strong enough to train for a little bit. Padding after his mentor he walked up and looked up at him. "What are we doing first?" He asked.

"What do you feel you need work on most?" Yhatsha asked in turn "Having to do with fire anyway. I don't know squat about healing powers, unfortunately." No use in suggesting to work on something Igneel knew how to do already, with his fire powers anyway.

Igneel shrugged softly. "Probably just building my store of power-energy, my stamina. That way I can cast more spells without wearing out." he replied. He was really good at using powers, but not so good at retaining energy.

"Well," Yhatsha spoke "Try easing up before you cast whichever attack. As unlikely as it seems for combat, being relaxed gives you more control. Perhaps it's your thrill to be fighting that you pay no attention to how much you're putting each blow."

Igneel nodded slowly, calming himself down. "Alright." He said softly, a warm breeze beginning to swirl around them. His markings glowed and a single stream of fire sprang from the ground and just stayed there, calm and focused energy.

My sister and I took my doggie for a walk, and then my mom had me doing some stuff for a while.)
Ula cursed in agitation when her water came crashing down around her. Her ears twitched, "Can you... how do you that?! How to do you breath life into squirrels and how can you control my water?!" She groaned in frustration and paced back and forth. It wasn't that she was totally scared of Milgrin anymore, but his powers were freaking her out just a little. Only she should be able to do the things that he was doing, "You know what troubles me Milgrin? You trouble me. You show up and you have all my powers and you can bring the squirrel to life and you are just a little freaky, you know? You basically appeared out of thin air to observe me. Hate to break it to you, but you can do my job better then I can at the present moment. There isn't really must to see-"
Ula paused mid step and her eyes grew wide, "You can... do my job better than me...." A billion things went through her mind, but finally her mind settled on one thing. She sat down to give herself a moment and then she gazed back at the creature in mortification, "Great Ankhen. Are you Frostback?" That would make complete and total sense.

Bane nodded his head agreeing with her. "I also think it's cause of how I look." Bane said holding out his paw to her. "The red eyes are rather off putting but I like it." He liked being able to blend into the shadows and thinks his red eyes happen to be pretty cool

Hawkeyes258"I think you look... um..." Yaukhsha tried "... nice...?" She had wanted to say something else, but chickened out. Looking down, she continued "Like I said before, they just need to talk to you, and see you don't want to be the scary thing they think you are." @tobster100 Yhatsha watched Igneel focus, eyes narrowed in thought. Tilting his head, he said "You're doing good, for a start." Walking to circle his apprentice, his eyes moved to watch the younger wolf with interest. @shootforthestars "Frostback was a wolf," the creature spoke simply "I am not Frostback. Milgrin is an...evolution. He sees... he does. Only he... does it better." The creature stepped forward, finally. Around his head was a man of feathers fashioned like a headdress. Arms lurched forward, covered in feathers, yet they reminded one of monkey paws. Four in all, they reached out for foundation as a foot stepped forward, yet the toes were fashioned to look like fingers. Seeing his entire size, he was easily thrice the size of a grown male wolf, and then some. Looking down at Ula, he spoke "I can... teach you..." A palm pressed to the ground, sucking the water up from the grass. It ran up his arm, and froze into a sort of fancy-looking armor. The armored arm scratched his chin, which had a beard of feathers. His beak formed a clicking noise before he said "Just... don't tell... Penta..."

As he kept breathing and focusing, more controlled tendrils sprang from the ground around him and came together over him. Tendrils then began branching off from the main tendrils and connected to other tendrils, and eventually a fiery cage was surrounding Igneel. He opened his eyes and looked around the cage and smiled. "I did it!"

His beak formed a clicking noise before he said "Just... don't tell... Penta..." Ula's ears flattened against her head as her body flattened against the ground. Her lips pulled back in a grimance of fear and she totally felt like wetting herself. Why couldn't he have just stayed in the shadows and left well enough alone? Her breathing picked up as she took him all in. Was this what a Wight looked like or was Milgirn some other type of beast? His arms suggested that he was not a Wight, and the feathers were another give away that he was some other type of creature. Plus the fact that he had powers over life... made things complicated. "What are you...?" Ula's could honestly care less about controlling her powers right now. The offer was nice, but she needed answers before that even crossed her mind, "I won't tell the Penta just... just please. Tell me what you are."

Hawkeyes258"You probably will end up saving the pack," Yaukhsha decided with a small laugh "You are a Sentinel after all. You'll probably be worshipped by the time we come of age." And that wasn't far, especially with the recent events of chaos. @tobster100 "Great," Yhatsha said with a smile "Now retrieve the fire and store it back inside of you. I've noticed in past sessions that you dispel your flames, not retract them. Retracting then should give you some energy back to use more power." @shootforthestars "I am... different," Milgirn said simply "This is... not my real form." He merely grabbed some of the feathers on his cheek, and pulled. They came off, pulling a mess of black guck in their wake. Shaking it off, he continued "I am descended from... ancient beings..." Tilting his head down so he could look at Ula, the bird saying "Your first Shaman took every possible ability while making my kind. My power is to copy." Wiping his cheek, new feathers grew in. Still looking down at the she-wolf, he spoke "If I wanted to kill you, you'd be dead." And then, Milgirn grabbed her. His long arms grabbed her leg, then her side. Soon, by the time he brought her close, Ula was like an orange in the hands of a watermelon. Milgirn held her up, staring at her with blue eyes as he asked simply "Are you scared even more now?" If he wanted, he could crush her. Or tear her in half, but he didn't. His hold on her was actually quite gentle, and no aggression was in his neutral gaze. All he did was smile, and say "Your fur looks much nicer up close."

Igneel nodded slowly and parted his jaws. Taking a big inhale, the fire jumped from the cage and into Igneel's mouth! Once he'd consumed all his flames, Igbeel looked over at his mentor. "Like that?" He asked.

Hawkeyes258"It'll give you a chance to show them that you're not bad," Yaukhsha told Bane, tilting her head "And they'll like you even more." She smiled at the idea, but only for a moment. Her belly suddenly grumbled, and her fur heated up a little. Looking over at the kill pile, she asked "Want to... um... share something? If you're hungry?" It was already late, but she herself hadn't eaten all day. @tobster100 "Just make sure not to take evening back in," Yhatsha told Bane "Or it could prove too late before you draw something back out to defend yourself."
