"I think they're fighting a manticore," Lilith told Igneel, still watching the massive creature flail its tail and flash its fangs. When Artem spoke, she said "I think I'd wait until I could do it without the other Sentinels helping me." Or even better, getting the honor of doing even a practice battle with them. She smiled to herself, focusing back on the fight.

Igneel too kept watching the fight, smiling as he watched the combatants fight with honor and strength. He wished he could take his flames and master a technique, but he was still afraid of being scoffed at my his mentor's father, the pack Alpha, and especially Ignaught.

Hawkeyes258(Hi x3 Did I ever reply to you?) "Wanna see if they have anything easier to fight?" Lilith asked excitedly "I think we'd all die fighting a manticore, but maybe they have something smaller? More our level?" She watched as the flight finally ended, the manticore defeated. The onlookers cheered and called for more action.

Igneel's tail wagged at the prospect of fighting. "Yeah let's do it!" He barked excitedly. He then looked at Artem and shrugged. "Probably something small, something they know we will be challenged by but won't kill us." He replied as he looked down at the arena. He then blinked a couple times. "How do we even volunteer anyways?"

@tobster100 Fireclaw"We can always just go and ask," Lilith suggested "The worst that can happen is that they tell us no." And with that, she got up to find a way down, asking other animals where to go. Soon, she was leading the way to their destination, where a gorilla with a nose ring, armed with a warhammer sat in a nest-like chair, eating a fruit of some sort. Lilith was most interested in the weapon though. Wolves didn't have hands, so they didn't use weapons. Plus, they created armor out of their elements if needed, so they didn't use that either. She blinked when the hulking creature turned his head to them, speaking "Be welcome, friends. I've been expecting you. Ankhen told me you'd all find your ways to this realm eventually. A heaven fit for heroes." It most had wolves, but sometimes, on rare occasions, other animals were let in upon their heroic deaths and victories under their belts.

Wagging his tail more, Igneel bowed to the gorilla politely then slowly stood up. "Hello, sir. We were wondering if we could take part in the arena too? Possibly against something more our level?" He asked. He pawed the ground anxiously and looked around slowly.

@tobster100 Fireclaw"Hmm," the gorilla said, scrunching up his nose in thought "I've got a Sphinx and a Thunderbird in stock. Both young. Wanna take a whack at one of them?" He looked down at them as he took a bite of his fruit, watching as Lilith turned to Artem and Igneel for their opinions.

Igneel waved his tail happily. "The Sphinx sounds interesting." He said to his friends as he looked at them. "Want to go after that?" He asked as his tail waved in excitement, hot sparks flying from the waving.

@tobster100 Fireclaw"You can fight her right now," the gorilla said "Everyone wants to see even fresh Sentinels fight. None of the originals come by anymore. Such a shame, really." He pointed to a cave, continuing "Head all the way down, and you'll be in the arena. I'll send the Sphinx to you."

Igneel smiled and trotted after his friends. "So what's the plan? Do we all go at it at once or should one of us hold back?" he asked. His fur was sparking with excitement and his tail was waving wildly.

@tobster100 Fireclaw "I think we should all hang back the first minute or two," Lilith suggested "To see what it'll try to do?" Once they arrived in the arena, her head turned to see the same gorilla step out into an up high ledge, calling to the crowds "Lend your ears and turn your gazes to me: Apex! A battle worth watching shall take place! Three of the new Sentinels against the champion of her division! Behold, Banafrit!" He gestured to a set of bars down below, made of earth. The gorilla, "Apex", clenched his fist, and the bars receded into the ground. A moment or two passed before their opponent stepped out. Wings stretching, shoulders hunched, and eyes narrowed.

Igneel jumped as he saw the size of the beast. "I thought it was supposed to be a baby!" He woofed, glaring at Apex for a moment then looking back at the beast. He took a deep breath and firmly rooted his stance, waiting for the right moment to attack or, if needed, defend.

@tobster100 "You said something you could handle!" Apex called down "The three of you should be fine! Just don't let her corner you!" He sat down as the Sphinx, Banafrit, stepped out into the arena. She was, to a full grown male wolf, the size of a grizzly. And she was a runt, so the three Sentinel were lucky. If she were any bigger, she probably could just win by sitting on them. She hissed and opened her jaws, locusts flying out of her mouth like bullets. Lilith shrieked in surprise, and used her telekinesis to repel a portion of the swarm. Her powers weren't the most ideal for attack, and she needed to get close to Banafrit to steal any of her energy, but that wouldn't be easy.

Flames sprung forth around them and coalesced into a ball, then into a shield that stopped and blocked the rest of the swam before dissipating back into Igneel's fur. He growled angrily and took in a deep inhale then looked at Banafrit. Glaring at the beast he let out the exhale in a whoosh, in which a large plume of fire came forth from his mouth as he said, "Phoenix Fire Squall." He then looked at Artem hoping he would jump in too, or at least working tandem they could get Lilith closer.

@tobster100 Banafrit stood on her thick hindlegs, and started to pump her wings. Stationary out of strength, she used the winds on the three wolves. Even though it fanned the flames slightly, and caused some of her locusts to go flying off, the wind was still powerful enough that it caused even animals up in the ridged seats to hunch to be able to stay in place.

"I don't think so! Fire Pillar!" Igneel snarled, A red-orange ring surrounding the three wolves then blasting up, growing increasingly hot because of the wind, though it didn't harm the wolves inside. The heat produced by the flames caused the air around it to rush up and bend the flow of the wind from Banafrit, creating a safe zone within the walls of the flame. Thankfully, being in the resting realm meant being able to do more with powers, without losing as much energy.

@tobster100 "Pesky fellow," Banafrit decided, settling on four paws again. Slowly, the ground around her began to change, becoming lighter as it rippled. Being ground up, the dirt was becoming a sort of sand, which began to move. Swamping and lurching like weak bodies, it lashed out in multiple, thick tendrils, trying to grab at the three wolves. One, which had come up from underground, hooked around Lilith's leg, and pulled her under, not even allowing her a chance to make a sound. After the sand patch swallowed her up, it reached for the remaining two.
