I always just saw her as nothing more than bad-tempered and easily jealous, and not necessarily evil or even disloyal. I mean, if I were here, I'd find self-worth in something else other than being "taken" and a kid at my heels, but hey, if that's how she finds self-worth then that's that I guess. Other than that there's really nothing I can see wrong with her other than having a personality and tendencies that rub me the wrong way.
But idk, to answer your question... I don't really feel bad for her situation. Do I feel bad that she's upset, hurting, and constantly frustrated? Sure, of course. But I don't feel bad that she's spending the rest of her life trying to make someone love her, when they obviously never will, even in StarClan. Imo she should quit it already and find joy in something else.
But like I said, that's the life she's chosen, and so I can't really judge her for that.

I always sort of hoped that Nightcloud would just give up on Crowfeather and find a man who will love her for the strong, independent, she-cat that she is.

I have to echo some of the sentiments on here and say that I feel she should find another mate. It's clear Crowfeather doesn't love her and probably never will... But I do feel bad that she got caught within the lie, and probably has to live with the fact that her mate won't love her and her son betrayed the Clans (even if he was welcomed back afterward...).
So she's not in the best of situations, but there is a way out of it. Hopefully she'll find it.

[ ✎ I don't feel anything but strong dislike or hatred for Nightcloud. I get Crowfeather wasn't the best mate, but trying to make someone love you isn't the answer, nor getting angry and playing another part in your son's downward spiral. I would have more respect for Nightcloud if she hadn't acted how she did. I may hate Leafpool, but Nightcloud should be lucky to be with Crowfeather if you look at how the other two relationships he had turned out. Honestly, she should have left him and moved on. She's just desperate for "love" and attention and I just really dislike those types of characters.]

Nope. You can't force someone to fall in love with you. I do believe she cares about Breezepelt but having fights with Crowfeather right in front of him and dragging him away from Leafpool isn't good parenting. She is not a good parent, even if I do understand her. I'm actually gonna make a Nightcloud rant soon sine I will have internet again tonight. She seemed softer in The Sight so I do believe that she thought Crowfeather liked her, but that still doesn't excuse her parenting.

I don't think anything excuses her (or any cat's for that matter) actions. I just feel sympathy for her in spite of them. But that's not the same as it being excusable. I always thought the 'make crowfeather like her' was more of a trying-really-hard to please and falling because it's an impossible feat already versus a more aggressive thing. At least at first. It's like I feel with Breezepelt, I have sympathy because gods it must've sucked growing up but that sympathy and his own past don't excuse him being evil. It's like reading about Aileen Wournos. I feel sympathy for the woman because her live was literal hell but that doesn't excuse the fact she became a serial killer.

Yes, I feel so sorry for her! The way Crowfeather treated her was honestly horrible, and she'll have to live her life knowing that Crowfeather didn't chose her a mate because he loved her, but rather because he just wanted to prove his loyalty to WindClan.

Crowfeather didn't seem to treat her well. Heck theres a scene in sotm where its implied Crowfeather physically abuses her, or at the very least, thinks of her as less than a person. I don't necessarily remember that (I didn't like SOTM) but it sounds plausible. Yes, I feel so sorry for her! Yeh. That's gotta suck.

She was using Crowfeather as much as he was using her, so the relationship was bound to end badly, and she was a bad mother to Breezepelt but I still feel bad for her. I feel bad for anyone who is constantly angry and upset all the time because they will always lead a miserable life.

I like her, and I felt bad for her. Imo Trashfeather deserved to die ages ago, and both Night and Breeze deserve better than an unfaithful mate, and terrible father.

In what way....does her pulling her mate away from the medicine cat from a different clan that he previously had relationships with make her a "stupid feminist" or are you just reaching to come up with insults for her character that have no substantial weight in an actual argument.

Ya know what I find interesting?
It's been stated that it was Crowfeather that came to Nightcloud, and offered her to be his mate. Nightcloud tried to make Crowfeather love her, and it didn't work. Nightcloud tried to raise a family with him, and that didn't work out either. Yes, Nightcloud was desperate to have kits, because she feared in her age it'd eventually be impossible, but no she did not go to Crowfeather and make up some sort of agreement. It, again, was Crowfeather who went to her, made the offer, and used her, and Breezepelt, to make himself seem loyal, while giving Nightcloud and Breezepelt nothing but false hope. It was only after Nightcloud realized Crowfeather was using her that she started feeling animosity toward him, especially just as it was already pointed out, after the truth came out about the 3 and what Crowfeather did. Nightcloud was desperate to keep her family together for Breezepelt's sake, because she wanted to protect Breezepelt. No I don't think she's mother of the year, but I do know she put more effort into the relationship and their family more than Crowfeather ever did. Also, wanting to have children/kits one day is literally NOT a bad thing, and Nightcloud was not using Crowfeather for kits. If she was, then there would have been no reason for her to even put effort in her trying to make him love her, and trying to be romantic with Crowfeather. Literally not reason. It's not bad to want to have offspring one day with someone, and Nightcloud was also going through the equivalent of a mid-life crisis, when people wonder desperately what their doing with their life and it's future. This is so common it's not even funny.

I mean typically the entire family is pretty screwed up, we only feel somewhat for Crowfeather because we have seen him in terms of point of view and as a main character. While Nightcloud and Breezepelt are literally there just to be idiots and cruel.

after the site stoped glitching I can finally type. I messed up the scene. It was in Night Whisperes and it was Breezepelt Crowfeather threw aside cruelly. ✎ That's the same scene where Nightcloud pull Crowfeather away. Breezepelt was attacking two cats. He pulled Breezepelt off because there was no reason for Breezepelt to attack.

Crowfeather's priorities are horrible imo.
