A couple years ago in Indiana, I was in a hotel room with my dad and my sister. I just couldn't sleep, so I tried watching a Doctor Who episode on my tablet. Unfortunately, I didn't have any earbuds, and I was afraid I would wake up my dad. So, I snuck into the room's bathroom, made a towel pillow, and watched the episode. No, Doctor Who wasn't new to me at the time, but there was a scene in the episode I'd completely forgotten about. I was just fangirling on the bathroom floor. Eventually, my dad came in there and I had to play it off like I was just brushing my teeth. Fortunately he was so tired he bought it. After he was asleep again, I went back in the bathroom and started The Sarah Jane Adventures. Yeah, that story was longer than I wanted it to be, but it's just proof of how such a simple watching experience has stuck with me. It felt nice to sort of sneak around my dad and watch Doctor Who. I feel you with Arrow. I have been like that with so many shows. Currently, the Noragami manga has been on hiatus for 2 months, and we're smack dab in the middle of some serious events. I'm so excited for the next release! Are any of your favorite characters from Arrow in peril? I'll be right back to respond to everything else. It'll be in chunks, I hope you don't mind. Wow, that's actually really cool. You see, and this is slightly embarrassing o///o but I have a lot of memories associated with food. Like, I can remember certain things I ate, or places we ate at, and tie those to specific moments. I can't think of an exact one off the top of my head, but I totally get what you mean. Speaking of Doctor Who, tell me. Would you rather be the Doctor, or the Doctor's companion? :3
Oh, I hate when such good shows go on hiatus. I crave them, I must have them. As for Arrow, currently, yes and no. It's really complicated, and I can't go into it without spoilers. xD
That's fair enough, it makes it easier to respond to everything.

I love breadsticks. <9 I want to eat some breadsticks now lol. Yeah you should probably get that done soon. cx I guess, but it's fun not to be fancy because it's more comfortable. I've only had breadsticks from Little Caesar's Pizza and they're good as well. <9 That sounds cool. Good luck with it! Comfort is way better than fancy; I don't get how adults do it all the time for work. It's okay, it's kind of weird but oh well. I hate socks; especially when I wear them with shoes then take my shoes off and have to put them on again afterwards. I hate it. cx Yeah, hopefully. cx Yes it is lol. c;

I don't think the fact you associate foods with memories is such a weird thing. Plenty of people do that, but we each have our own unique thing that makes us remember something. I think for me, as I've proven, it's TV shows. ^.^ For my dad, it's cars. You've shot a difficult question at me. If it's a matter of playing the role, I would love to try and play a female doctor. I know not many people are for the idea, and then there's the feminists who REALLY want it to happen. The reason I want a female doctor, and the reason I would like to be that incarnation, is because of all the new things the writers could put into the show. It would be exciting, and it would be good for younger generations of girls to realize that hey, maybe they can play the Doctor some day, too. After all, it's a show that's been around for over 50 years and will only continue growing. Plots will run out, we need something different on set. There will be people who say, "Nuuu, that's not the way it's been," But Doctor Who, to me, is all about change. Now, as far as actually being the characters themselves, I have to say that I would like to be a companion, because everything would be new. Will I die on the first day? Maybe, but if I were the Doctor, I'd have seen a whole lot of the universe already. Plus, there's the Doctor's whole guilt complex I'd have to worry about. What about you? Hiatuses are crazy times, especially for the first month or so. Then it gets even worse if your show gets postponed. Are you familiar with BBC Sherlock? They usually have 2-year hiatuses. Going on 4 years now. Ah, I see with Arrow. I guess I'll just have to watch it and then obsess over it with you! Responding to mega post now

Ahh, I hope it won't be too hard. But no, I'm staying home, and going to the community college. I could never afford to go off to a big college with a dorm and all that. As for me, I definitely want to go where people are diverse and accepting. I've seen too many snobs, too many elitists who think they're better than you. I think Community College will do me a lot better.
Ooh, wow, that sounds really inviting. Honestly, maybe it's just me, but I think being in a big city, with lots of lights, during an autumn rain just sounds so amazing. I've personally always admired the city from afar, but I'd love to live near a big city one day, so I can travel there often. Also, that is the cutest name for a cat, ever c:
I admire that about you honestly. That you can appreciate how you look, without being vain. I personally cannot admire how I look, because I have some self-conscious issues about my appearance. About a lot of things really. But that's nice. And yeah, I go for comfort myself, because I'd rather be comfortable than fashionable. <3
I've considered taking Community College to get my basics out of the way, but if I get accepted into a college after my November auditions, I don't think I'll go down that path. Though, I've heard of programs in which you can get your basics done over the summer via computer, which sounds really good for me. I can't really afford big colleges either. My dad says I shouldn't worry, but as a senior it's kind of my job. But yes, a diverse atmosphere is good for everyone. It builds character and keeps you from becoming a snob yourself. I've heard that in college, people can either act more mature or less mature. I don't live right in the middle of a city, but there's a city just 5-10 miles away. My family and I usually go in one of dad's classic cars to look around at everything. It's such a beautiful city, and it's not super big, either. It's just the right size, in my opinion, but always full of life. Live bands are always playing, theres this amazing chocolate shop in the city square, architecture both old and new, wide streets that are never too busy or slow with traffic. It's honestly the best city I've ever been to, and I'm not just being bias. I could live there. Gosh, now I want to go on a drive through downtown! I'm sorry you feel that way. Lots of people are self-aware about looks, and I really wish society didn't make us that way. I don't want to start conflict about society this or society that, but I will tell you that self-conciousness isn't derived from yourself - it's others. I'm self-concious about some things in my appearance, which I'd rather not say, at least not here. Personally, I'm trying to look past the little things in people, the little things in myself, and I hope others can do the same. Part of the reason I want to be an entertainer is so that I can broadcast that message to people. I hope I'm reaching you.

Responding to mega post now Thank you for understanding c: I just don't want to seem like *too much* of a piggy. I find songs also help me recall memories.
You bring up a lot of good points, and I myself, would personally love to see a female doctor. Not as a feminist, but as an equalist. I think it's time for a change, and it'd be very interesting.
I personally, on both character and actor, would choose a companion. Companion for the reasons you said, and for acting reasons, it'd only be for a small period of time. Whereas with the doctor, well, I suppose that's only a period of time too, but it's longer than I'd probably like.
I've never seen Sherlock, I've heard of it though. And holy carp, that's a long hiatus. I could never handle that.

You don't seem that way. Now, I am a pig. I just eat and eat and eat. Lately I've been trying to cut back. I've limited sweets, gone a little easier on chips, and I've been trying to eat more vegetables, but I still eat a lot. Somehow I manage to stay thing, but I don't want all the eating to catch up on me. Yep! I already have a great outfit plan for the female Doctor It was going to be for a fan fiction, but I procrastinated. Who says it can't be for a roleplay someday, you know? Yeah, companions do leave sooner than the Doctor's incarnations do, except for Piper and Eccleston's case, of course. It would be cool to see a companion who lasts all the way through one of the Doctor's incarnations and into another...er, well, I guess Rose fits the bill again. :-S xD Forgetful Soph. Yeah. I can hardly handle it myself. Fortunately, I have other fandoms to keep me busy. We did get a Sherlock special this year, but I didn't like it at all. Few of the characters seemed in character. Another thing is there's only 3 episodes a season. That said, each episode is 90 minutes long. I recommend Sherlock, though, if you love a good long mind-bender. It helps to view each episode as a movie rather than an episode.

I imagine you probably could get your basics like that. For me, there's no way in heck I'd ever do it. Not after all the online school I've done, I need to go and meet people. Yeah, I mean, I didn't worry much, but I knew I was going to my local community college. Those who want to go away from home have a big job in worrying. I hope I meet more mature people, with a good sense of humor, and who are interested in the same things that I am.
Oh wow, that's actually pretty cool. Classic cars? Wow, that must be soo cool. I guess I technically live in a city, but it's not the same as a big city. There's so many more people there, and everything just feels alive. But if your city is like that, then that must be pretty cool. My city doesn't have anything like that. I would love to go see that city though, it sounds absolutely amazing. Totally a place I would hang out at, especially in an Autumn rain c;
It's fine, it's been this way for awhile. I know a lot of it is society, but we won't dive into that. Well, there's a lot I'm self-conscious about, not just appearance. I'm not ready to go into details, but there are things about myself I have a hard time with. I understand if you don't want to talk about it here, we can always talk about more, stuff like that on Skype, without the eyes of other people. I do try to look past those things. In fact, I aim to see the best and brightest of people. Myself is still a work in progress though. And yes, you are, loud and clear. c: <3

Yeah, exactly. I personally could never roleplay Doctor Who. I love it, but I know I'd mess something up in the continuity of the fandom. Either not play a character right, or something.
Yes, oh my gosh though, Rose is still one of my favorite companions. Always will be, I think. Haha, well, to be perfectly fair, we don't know when Eccleston regenerated, he could've had other companions before the show started.
When you run out of something to watch, another show is always the best thing to fill it's place. xD I'm sorry to hear that, but that's rather strange. Perhaps one time, I'll look into Sherlock, since I've heard such good things about the show. c: It must have a large fandom for a reason.

I know, but we can't agree on everything. Hopefully just the important stuff. I know what you mean though, because I know other people like that. They always wear socks too. Wet socks are death. Feet do need to breathe! Actually, that's not that gross of an image, I could think of 1000 more. Umm, well, anyways. Yes, her name is really awesome. And I'm glad she appreciates it xD

It's great that you go on walks. I try walking as much as possible, but my family lounges around a whole lot. We don't really get out of the house to exercise unless it's really early in the morning, which I just can't too. I just really want to improve my heart health, since it's a hereditary problem in my family. It's partially why I'm trying to eat better and drink more water.
Fun Fact - I have been told that I play Clara really well, which makes me so proud! Doctor Who is hard to rp, but it's how I met my internet bestie. She and I are obsessed with Doctor Who, and we originally had serious plans about writing for the show someday. However, I don't think that's going to work out, but if she is still serious about it, I am right there with her every step of the way.
Rose was brilliant, but personally, my favorite is Clara. I find her very relatable, and in a way she fueled a teacher dream for me. However, I've always sort of pictured that as a potential career path. My second favorite is Martha Jones. She gets a lit of hate, and I honestly can NOT see why.
Well, in his pilot episode, the ninth Doctor was talking about his big ears while looking in a mirror, like they were brand new. That's a clue that he was newly regenerated. That could be how he managed to escape the Auton explosion at Rose's department store - maybe he was in the first 15 hours of regeneration, so even if the building had exploded while he was in there, there was still time to recover his damaged cells. I just came up with that! Yay!
Sherlock does have a large fandom, and I swear, EVERYONE ships John and Sherlock. I'm not anti-LGBT in the slightest, but I Doyle's original characters were just close friends with undying loyalty to each other. Their friendship is so beautiful, but to classify it as a romantic pairing just doesn't seem true to the original, and it somewhat seems undermining. Fortunately, I don't think the writers will actually go down that path.

I walk everyday to the gas station. Yes, to get somewhat unhealthy soda, but still. It's something xD Early in the morning and me don't really go together well, unless I'm doing something special. You see, I need to add more water to my diet, but my soda is just so good, it's my biggest weakness.
Ooh, I don't remember too much of Clara, but I loved her when I saw her. I tried roleplaying it once, and I just didn't feel right roleplaying the Doctor. I wasn't very cool, calm, or collected. But that's not generally my character type xD Yeah, if you guys do write for the show, or well, if she does, I'll support it too, despite not knowing her, and I'll watch the new Doc Who.
Clara is right up there. I think I'd rank my top 3 as Rose | Amy | Clara. I just wished I remembered more about Clara, but the later seasons didn't stick with me as much. I don't understand why people hate Martha either. I was neutral, but if there's a character for hate to go towards, how about Donna, ick.
Wow, you should totally go work for Film Theory. You see, I've seen the pilot a couple of times, but I don't remember small details like that. I'm glad you did, but the sad thing for Mr. Eccleston is, if he was newly regenerated, I feel sorry that he had such a short lifespan. I mean, he only lasted one series, before the best Doctor arrived.
I'm not anti-LGBT either, but I mean, sometimes the shipping goes too far. I guess I understand that people have big imaginations, but still, if it doesn't seem like it should be, maybe leave it alone. Oh well though, who am I to tell others how to ship. Yeah, I'm sure that if in the actual story, it's not meant to be, then they won't write it like that. If you have good writer's, they'll usually try to write the story the way it was meant to be portrayed.

Take it little by little. You don't have to sacrifice your soda all together, but rather, add more water. Eventually, you won't feel the need for the soda as much. That's my 2 cents (Oh my, my phone doesn't have the cent-sign as an option 0-o) Thank you for all the support ^.^ And us talking about Doctor Who RP only makes me want to RP it. Though there is a lot of pressure with Doctor Who rp. Like, where is a plot supposed to start? How can you make it science fiction but also have it make some sense? No offense, but I didn't really like Amy. I thought she was a little too bossy, but she was her own unique character, and I did like that aspect. I don't really hate characters, and if I do, I try everything in me to note hate a character. "Hatred is too strong of an emotion to waste on people you don't like." - Clara Oswald. That's another reason I love Clara - so many great quotes that aren't just about the Doctor all the time. And Donna? She had some great moments, but she could honestly be too harsh and scary, and a little bit exaggerated. Yeah, not my favorite. Haha, Film Theory. Unfortunstely, I believe there are many Whovian that are way more qualified for that position. However, I did do really long analyses on Clara's hair and how it represents her story in the series. It was actually really good, and lots of people liked the analyses. Yes, plural. I did, like, 2-3 parts, and one part has gone unfinished only because of procrastination. It is sad about the short-lived 9th Doctor, but Eccleston himself made it clear that he just didn't want to be the Doctor anymore. I don't even thing he's doing the radio series, which is something I really wish I could hear. Yeah, it seems that gay ships are especially over-sexualized. Yeah, there are always those M-rated ideas, fan fictions, and pieces of fan art for every ship, but for LGBT ships it's off the charts! I have a gay ship, and I wouldnt want to see or know about them in bed. I don't like seeing that sort of stuff for any pairing, any single one. Sorry if that was strange to talk about - had to get it off my chest. However, I can understand how serious people can be with their ships. Tbh, I shipped/ship the Doctor and Clara SOOO hard. I know it's weird, but they are my ultimate otp.

Adding more water sounds like a good idea. I don't think I'll ever give up my soda, but if I can balance the two, that'd make me happy enough.
You're welcome ^_^ <3 Ahahahah, I'm not surprised. These questions often go through my mind when fandom roleplays come up. Which, unless the fandom can be handled loosely, which is rare, I try and avoid them. Way, way too complicated.
Amy was kind of bossy, but that's what I loved about her. I liked that aspect too, and I personally can understand why you might not like her. She's more of a hit or miss. I don't hate either, honestly. Characters or people, for many different reasons. But I know a lot of people do dish out hate, which is sad. I love that quote, I may have to use that. And yes, this way, not every quote is "Fish Fingers and Custard" or "Fez's are Cool" (Although fez's really are cool xD) Yeah, Donna had some good moment, but like you said, harsh, scary and exaggerated. Why I didn't personally like her.
I mean, that was a pretty good theory you put together though, so I'll give you an A for Effort and Explanation. Oh wow, that's um, that's something that I wouldn't think you could do analyses on. Procrastination is the root of half of my failed projects. I'll do it tomorrow I say. But then, it's 2 weeks later, with nothing to show for it. Aww, well, you know, if you're not interested in doing the job anymore, then that is understandable. And everything happens for a reason. We might not have gotten David Tennant otherwise.
I've noticed that too. Like I mean, a gay ship is fine, but a super-sexualized gay ship is not cool for me. I mean, I understand some want to read that, and I hope I don't sound homophobic here, but I'm not gay, so I don't want to read gay. Or roleplay it for that matter. Just a personal preference. And yes, I absolutely get what you're saying. Going overboard drives me nuts. Enough is enough. Honestly, I'd totally ship them too. <3

Yeah. I know it sounds crazy, but I don't really like soda. I'll take a few sips, but the way it sits in my stomach feels uncomfortable. I do love a good gulp of Fanta or Sprite, and this one lime soda Jack in the Box had last summer. It was a limited time, though, and it hasn't returned. But back to more important matters, even the littlest steps get you somewhere. I also suggest drinking V8, which is a really good vegetable drink best served at room temperature or warm. It's just like a soup, but with 3 servings of vegetables. I'm not trying to be a pushy health instructor. I just genuinely think V8 is good and suggestion worthy. Yeah. There needs to be a good set of story rules, a specific system for the way everything can and can't work out. Doctor Who is kind of free, until one episode later you discover something that under no circumstances should ever happen. Also, you could run into so many paradoxes without a specific story system, and it's so hard to know where and how to recover or even how to start. Yeah. Haters gon' hate. I remember how offended I would get with Clara haters, but eventually I grew up and realized they really don't matter. I love Clara because I am me, they hate Clara because they are them. Simple as that. Yes, I love the more meaningful Doctor Who quotes. I wish they had merchant with those quotes, but it seems I can only find "Bow ties are cool," and "Attack Eyebrows," or "Allons-y!" I can't complain with Allons-y, though. "Let's go" Just isn't in my vocabulary anymore. It automatically translates to "Allons-y." Can I just point out how fun it is to say that? Ha, well thank you. And the Clara's hair analysis was just for fun, and nothing I took TOO seriously. Still, those writers pay close attention to detail, as proven with their work on Sherlock. II'm to lazy to respond to the next part. I'll do it later You don't sound homophobic to me. Some believe and have shown that our ships reflect our ideas for relationships. So, if you're not gay, why would you ship gay? Now, I don't think I am bi, but I do have a gay ship. I guess it proves that the theory isn't 100% correct with all people, but I definitely see similar qualities between the Doctor and Clara's relationship and the relationships I hope to have. Not that they'd ever have to be similar in order to be wonderful.

Nah, it's not that crazy. I understand soda isn't everybody's thing, and actually, I'm probably the one that's crazy, considering how much I can drink. It's almost like an addiction, which is why I'm trying to not necessarily cut down, so much as add water to the equation, so soda isn't my only source of hydration. Ahh, you see, I've had V8. Personally not my cup of tea. You know what else isn't my cup of tea? Tea. Ba dum tshh! xD (I can make the bad jokes too :'P)
Exactly! You see, that's why I could never do it. I could never fit in the shoes of those great men who've doctored before me. And yes, paradoxes are another, very complicated thing. Doctor Who seems like it'd be fun to RP, but it could be one of the worst, if done wrong. And I know I'd do it wrong. I wouldn't know where to start either.
I know the feeling. I wouldn't actively shout out at them, but I'd be thinking "What's wrong wit you? They're like da best. How can you think that way?" It doesn't really matter though. You're absolutely right, an excellent way to think of it. The meaningful ones are so nice. And yeah, I can imagine, because that's what the sheep Doc Who watchers want. xD It is really fun to say though, and Allons-y is an exception I'll make for somewhat lame, but popular quotes.
You're welcome, and it's good to know you didn't get too serious. You know, count every strand and stuff haha I appreciate when writers put in the details carefully, and masterfully. And I do enjoy the occasional callback, because nostalgia :'D Alright, that's fine.
Ahh, interesting. I didn't know that actually, but that makes a lot of sense. I honestly wonder what that means for girls who ship two guys. I mean, it's not 100%, nothing ever is. But I get it. Well, I'm glad to know you have relationship goals, just as I have mine. Exactly c: <3

In response to your last paragraph about shipping - I think the main reason a person ships something might not always have to do with their sexuality, but what they personally like to happen in relationships. For example, I really like how Kuro and Mahiru are just cool with each other, but will go to great extents to protect one another. Same for the Doctor and Clara, and PewdiePie and Marzia in a way. Obviously we haven't seen any actual heroism with the YT couple, but they are cool with each other, and in some of their play-togethers they'll help each other out. Okay, so maybe that's the definition of love, but there are obviously other reasons why I ship what I ship. That's just one of them.

@winty - Hiya! c: <9
@soph - Exactly, seeing the way a relationship is portrayed, even if it's not done that way intentionally, makes shipping easier. And those are true relationship goals right there. People who care for each other, and will do anything for the other person. That's beautiful, and that's what I think true love is. c: <3 Platonic love or romantic love.
