{ Yo! I'm back with a few announcements and whatnot. I'd appreciate everyone reading this post, if you don't mind.
Thanks for everyone's patience. This week has been Thanksgiving week for many so a decline in absence was to be expected. That's totally cool. c; Happy Thanksgiving/Holidays to all! It's been only a week really but I tend to stress so, hopefully, this pause doesn't deter any of you from continuing. I've had fun and absolutely adore this roleplay. You guys make it great and I'd love to see it go on pages more.
That being said, I do feel we haven't really had enough direction for this roleplay to really get started and that's all on me. Sorry! Thus far we've only had a few awkward run-ins and no real excitement. I was hoping that maybe we could all discuss a few minor plots and one overarching plot that effects us all. For example, maybe we've got trouble at a settlement and people pinned down in a town, all the while a larger danger moves in to the region as a whole.
To do this, I was kind of hoping to split the rp up into minor plots or groups. We'd need a basic idea for each and a little direction. As of now, I've no real ideas so any and all of yours would be beyond appreciated.
As for an overarching plot, I do have one idea so I'll post what I've got here. A storm is brewing in the west, one unseen and only rumored. Masses of survivors are flocking to the east, seeking sanctuary. The storm continues its path of destruction, leaving poisoned land and sick people in its wake. Toxin levels are increasing, survivors are turning feral faster than ever. If not remedied, the result could be catastrophic. The settlements and its people are left with two choices, stay and try their chances in the storm or leave everything they know behind.
Dun dun dunnnnn. So, that's it. If everyone's alright with it, I'll post it to the front. I'd just like a little feedback. Aside from this, I've a few more personal notes to attend to. I'll get those posted next, reply to everyone's comments and get to some editing. c:
I'm so sorry if I left anyone out in the tagging process: Sour Candy , John 3:16 , susieq , TheFunnyRobot , ➳Gʀʏρнοп🌠 , cιnnaмon roll , BB-8 , The Blue Adept . }

{ Sour Candy Hey! I'm kind of behind in editing but I'll get your newer charrie posted asap.
susieq Just checking up. c: It's kind of been a while since I last heard from you and I was wondering if you were still interested in doing the sibling plot? If not, that's totally cool. I know I've been behind in finishing Michael's form, so sorry. If not tonight, it'll be done some time tomorrow. Hopefully we can get a few replies in before or after, though? I've been really excited and am, by no means, upset by the wait. I've just been wondering is all.
The Blue Adept Yo!! So, you posted your charries a while back and I'm so terribly sorry I haven't got them posted yet. I'll get that done tonight. I know you've also replied to a few of my posts and will get my own replies posted asap. Sorry for the wait! }

[ like I've said before, Aquarius is 2000% open for some plot involving a corrupt rebel group, if that's something you'd be interested in ]

{ That's right. So some corrupt/mislead rebel group? Perhaps a group of rogues are planning a coup on Bel-Ridge? They hold a certain purchasing-power over the rest of the settlements and are the main source of protection and justice in all four. Fearing the power Bel-Ridge has, this rebel group is banding together a group of survivors in some sort of covert operation to overthrow Bel-Ridge's man in command. If they fail and retreat, they could then turn to the three remaining settlements, persuading them to support their cause.
Aquarius could lead this rebel group or be this person in charge at Bel-Ridge if you wanted.
Sour Candy haha. same! i've never really got the chance so Ghost is my first character. }

[ hm I feel like Aquarius wouldn't want to wait to become the commander, and would see more benefit to overthrowing the power and fixing ranks how she wished. Cuz she's a terrible person lol ]

{ haha. that's cool. c; so, she'll lead the rebel group than? did you want a base of operations or are they kind of living within the other settlements? i could see this playing into the plot later. perhaps bel-ridge goes looking for these rebels, storming through other settlements in the process. i'll add this and the overarching plot to the front and mark aquarius as the leader of the rebel group. }

C17 had a habit of being distracted. There just so happened to be many curious things, things he'd known of and not yet seen, so he constantly found himself taking detours. He'd scrapped one of the old cars a day or so before, so he figured he owed himself this free time. Sitting, leaned up against one of the dead trees by the side of the road, he flicked the switch on an old Walkman. The cassette in it was a little beat up, but still worked, spitting out some stuttery but interesting tunes. He'd found it in one of the deserted towns among an old vintage collection, and had decided to keep it for himself. He thought it was cool. In his head, 3 sharp beeps broke his focus alerting him to the presence of something living, a person down in the trees somewhere. He twisted his head, searching for their signature. This was poor timing. Stuffing the device back into his bag, he got to his feet and inched back into the foliage, trying to keep himself from view. Maybe he could even nick a few things from this guy, he quite liked that knife on his belt. Waiting for him to pass, he followed not far behind, with quiet almost inaudible footsteps, trying to get close enough to grab it without him noticing, although brute force would go unnoticed out here with a stranger.
Honora and Artemus made way for Fort Jones, having made good time the night before. Honora didn't look tired yet, but she was growing hungry and was eager to get themselves something to eat from one of the shops once they got into town. The crappy military rations never really compared to the fresh stuff, even if it was grown in poison air and dead soil. Artemus didn't share her same sentiment, but that always meant more for herself and she was 100 percent fine with it. "We can't take too long with making trade, seems we have to pick up some information from one of the other couriers. Boring stuff, I know, but at least we wont see bullets," she commented as they closed in on the gate.
Artemus was distracted, but it was sort of hard to tell. He faced the road, hand gripped to the strap of his back but looking elsewhere, up at the sky. It looked particularly muggy and dirty up today, and hated to think of the incoming weather because of it. "Mmhmm," he commented, rubbing the side of his helmet idly to free some old mud. It was ridiculous, actually, how distracted he was, that he had hardly noticed the two people in front of him and Honora, and crashed into them before she could pull him aside. "ghHH-"
gene. to C17
Crouching low in the underbrush, Gene studied the town. It lay in a permanent slumber, the life residing there fleeting. He'd passed through it numerous times on his journey from Fort Jones and had only encountered trouble twice before. Once had been a stray dog, easily dispatched, and the other an unstable structure he'd staid the night in. The latter had nearly buried him, putting a stop to his endless wanderings. This encroaching danger with the bandits was only increasing as more and more of them came to know of the settlements here. In all honesty, he should have known better than to travel with valuables during the daytime. Anybody with something to lose knew to travel under the mask of night. This whole predicament was his own doing.With a long sigh, he teetered back on his heels and sat in the dirt, crossing his arms over his knees. If there was one thing he was good at, it was learning from his mistakes. He'd a few hours left but he'd wait for the dark.mercy & ghostto Honora & ArtemusShrugging off one strap to her rucksack, Mercy pulled her pack around and flipped back the opening to the main compartment, rummaging for her map. As much as she traveled, one would assume she'd know the grounds well but her stay in Fort Jones had been longer than she'd anticipated. If anything, she only needed a refresher. With her gaze downcast, she barely noticed the strangers. Just as the one in the helment crashed into Ghost, she felt his hand at the small of her back, pushing her forward and out of the way. He fell in a heap of metal and she stumbled forward, her balance quickly regained. "What the hell, Ghost?" Securing her rucksack back around both shoulders, she turned and stared at the two newcomers, realizing the fault had been with them. Reflexively, she gripped her rifle in both hands, the muzzle down but her senses alert. "I sincerely hope that was an accident," she growled, offering a hand to Ghost. With a cautious look to the figure who'd run into him, he took it and stood. "I'm not a resident here but I am aware of the policy on pickpockets."
