No it's not posted yet. It's not what y'all think. Chapter 30 had to be cut short because it was getting too long. So I'm having to re-order events. Chapter 31 will be the big reveal of the cursed. But chapter 30 promises to be plenty on it's own. I'm just waiting a little bit longer.
SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 29 AND 30!
Chapter 30 will answer questions about who is alive or dead after the fight witht he rogues and present an answer/new question about the existence of other cursed and why certain ones haven't been seen/noticed. Also the concept of guardians will be approached and basically answered. It' a self-explanatory kind of deal. :'P

I'm just missing the togetherness and community. Right now it feels like a race to get the most views and fans on the new website. With all the statistics starting over, I feel like people are forgetting the stories and authors that were already here/at WFF.

Hey Dingo. Honestly this year is continuing to be horrible for everyone around me it seems. My friend's father died two days ago on her birthday, my sister is sick again, my ex is having abusive issues with his father, and I had to turn down the guy I'm dating because of personal issues I'm going through. That's just this week. AND I haven't been able to write, haha. SO FRUSTRATINNNNGGGGGAAA.
Anyways, to answer your questions: I'm taking this semester off. So I won't be going to college till spring. Interesting things? I went to see War Dogs which was actually pretty good. I also ate at some great Thai and Chinese places this week. So delicious.
How are you? How have your exams been? Anything yummy you've eaten lately? x'3

It's such a shame. I honestly feel like it's been too big of a change too fast. I agree - there's a distinct lack of the community spirit that the WCF has always prided itself on. I don't know if it's the statistics or if it's a popularity thing, but somethings changed, and now that that you've pointed it out it seems glaringly obvious. Perhaps something needs to be done. I was planning something for Christmas, but now I might move it up, or perhaps I'll think of something else.
Aw man, that's rough. My heart goes out to you, Shadow. I really really hope things start to look up for you soon. I wish I could say that I understand, but I can't. I wish you all the best, Shadz, and know that I'm always here if you need someone to talk to.
A semester off might be nice. Do you have any plans, or are you just going to stay close to home? My brother saw that recently, and he really enjoyed it as well. Ooh, sounds delicious! I really like Thai food! As for me - well, my exams start a week from today, but I'm flat out preparing for the 8 essays and 3 creative writing peices I've got to write. I need to do well in these exams so I can move my ranking up, but I'm feeling pretty good. Ah, I had pan fried gnocchi at a great restraint the other day. It was delicious!

Well, I know there really isn't anything I can do to change how you feel about this place. But I want you to know that I believe this can be a home for the WFF community. The WCF's fan fiction forum didn't start out as a community, and after so many new and old author coming here it will be a little before we start feeling like a community again. The race for fans and views doesn't matter. For this new place, I kind of feel, I don't know, that activity should come second and getting to know everyone should come first. In the WCF, before I started caring about reading other people works, being a really good fan, people didn't really notice what I wrote. But when I started looking at other peoples stuff they started to notice me. I was just an unknown face to them at first, but after I started to connect with them they began to see that I was...worth knowing, I guess. I know what you mean when you say you think people are forgetting. It really does feel the everything is starting from square one. But I don't know what to do about that. When we came here, people we never knew came with us. Every person who still had an active account for the WCF got the closing e-mail. This meant authors I knew from 2011 came back. I never talked to them, they never talked to me. But after so many years they came back. Authors who have since been forgotten in the WFF, were well known in the WFF before, are back. I don't think you or any of the other WFF authors, or stories, will ever be forgotten. But we now have so many of them in one place, that it drowns out the authors from our areas time. We don't know them, they don't know us. The community is still here, but it's the community from 6 collected years. The community we both know is still here, but it needs to expand and take in those new people. Did that make sense? I'm not sure...All I really know is that I believe we can make this place work. |
