Well, its true XD
As Curse has continued, you've gotten very good at building the suspense and releasing tension at the right moment!
I think it was very fitting that I was listening to Linkin Park while reading this (What I've Done and New Divide for Jadestar's part), so I was feeling very present in that particular scene.
Eaglecurse's revelations have generated a new theory, as well...
Snow is very intriguing. Her characterisation has a certain allure to it, like you'd want to follow her (which is I guess why so many clan cats left to join her army). I have such a vivid mental picture of her throne room. I definitely have to sketch it now!
Empathy is. So is grief.
There is so much more motivation behind his actions now. It really ties everything together.

I can't wait to see him again! Yeah, I've begun to realize that Curse was a giant puzzle game where all the pieces needed to be given first and then they got to be put together like they are now. It feels a little wonky given we are at the final 10 chapters, but it seems to be working out? OMG "What I've Done" by Linkin Park is perfect for that scene!!! And oooh, please do share! I love your theories. <3 Yes, she swept in and stole the show. Quite literally. She's taken down three clans and has untied both rogues and clan cats together. I've been somewhat inspired by George R.R. Martin's character Daenerys Targaryen from his Game of Thrones series. She inspires followers in a similar fashion, and she has risen from the bottom like Snow has. Not to mention that they both have "fiery pets" to help them conquer their lands. Except their motives are wildly different. And their backgrounds as well. I would love love love to see a sketch. You also owe me Mintfeather and Ospreyflight sketches if I remember correctly. :'P (jkjk) I'm so happy. I want my true villain to be unique. I want him to both be hated and understood. As more will be revealed, I feel like feelings will start to turn... Same here, honestly! x'D |

Curse's 4 Year Anniversary is coming up on September the first. I really want to do something special, as this could be the last Anniversary we have before Curse is finished.
I want to set up a time and date and meet on the WFF Discord server, and have me on the voice chat, and read you all one of the chapters from Curse. (':
A poll will be going up to decide which chapter you all would like to hear me read. Obviously, there are now 32 chapters to choose from, and not all of them have been posted. So I ask that you all scour your memories for favorite moments or scenes and tell me which you would like to hear. Then I will narrow down the most popular choices and put up the poll to decide the last chapter. If you can't remember what chapter a particular scene is from (because it hasn't been re-posted) do not worry, I will scour my old copies and find the chapter for you.
Along with this LIVE reading I would like to do another CURSE MARATHON leading up to the anniversary. It would be a week or two long event. It won't be the same as before. There will not be winners or prizes. This will be a collective community effort to show your love for this story, and to tell me exactly what you think of it. Unfiltered, and with as many memes and puns as you can fit. I thought about adding challenges, but I have decided to have this be SUPER chill and a "on your own terms" kind of marathon since school is starting up for most people.
Make a thread, and do whatever you would like with that space. All threads will be linked to the front page of the Curse thread. The only thing that I require, is that you put links to YOUR works at the very top so that people who see the name curse will also see and get the chance to see your content as well. I will also be offering a one sentence (or just short) review for each of your projects that you can put under those links or even on your own threads. It is one small thing I can do as a reward for participating in the marathon.
Let me know what you all think! And feel free to start bouncing off ideas of what you would like me to read!

Sounds like great fun! Oh StarClan. I really have to look into Discord one of these days. I keep hearing I'm missing out on things, but I really think it would murder any of my devises.
Heh, heh... Anything you say? Watch what power you give out. I'm likely to fill my whole notebook with curse doodles from memory. i.e. lets see who else I can headcannon a design for.
Hum... favorite chapter...? Honestly, um... Whoops. I can remember scenes, but I can't remember chapters they were in. I'll have to look.

My playlist was on shuffle, and it just happened to come on as I started reading. Ok, ok, I'll type it up! I'll put it in a new post under the spoiler tag.
She's definitely one of my favourites, as of this chapter. Right up there with Darkmoon.
I think I must be the only person on the planet who hasn't watched Game of Thrones. I'm planning on binge watching it once school wraps up.

I found the Ospreyflight sketch the other day and was like 'oh damn I gotta finish this'. I'm picking up a new sketchbook on the weekend, so ill be able to start drawing regularly agin. At the moment, I'm using an A3 sketchbook, but I can't carry that around with me. So, next week, expect sketches!
He's a very intriguing character, and I've loved watching him develop into someone unique and understandable.

I have a traditionally-drawn comic in mind for Chapter 32 (possibly the second part, where Shadow meets the rouges), which I'll be working on today. ;>

It's not for everyone, but I'll tell ya, it is so so so good if you can move past the violence, nudity, and other things. It's the chapter where Shadow was crossing the river, and her powers activated. Was it...chapter 18? I think it might have been one of the missing chapters??? Nah, it's the fact that all my computers ect. are cheep/old/are overwhelmed easily. For example, this one crashes after half an hour on Minecraft. Yeah, I hate it, but it's what I've got. -.- Plus...I haven't looked over it yet and I'm always lowkey nervous about new sites. |

I also intend to go further with this comic, and draw all the way up to the point where she actually meets Snow and the rest of her inner circle.
I plan on drawing Snow's throne to look similar to The Iron Throne from Game of Thrones. It was described by R. R. Martin as "towering over the room like a great beast", "asymmetric", and "when a king sits on it he's 10 feet above everybody else. He's in this raised position looking down on everyone. From on top, the king dominates the throne room." And that's what I'm trying to go for?
I imagine that it's made out of this tall, gigantic rock mound, with stalagmites at the top of it in, like, a collective ring. Snow lies in the middle of them, in a flat, smooth area that's big enough for her and then some. There's a "staircase" so that she can ascend it as well.
I've already planned out all of the page thumbnails at school, and I'm currently working on finalization! <3

phantomstar57 - EEEK! That's so exciting! :'D mintedstar/fur - SWEET. So we got "votes" for chapters 11, 12, 14, 28(?), and 31. Sounds like a plan. (': Mᴏᴏɴ - - - Oh my gosh moon, you spoil me wayyyyy too much. <3 AH, I didn't even think about describing it that way! I just pictured it as a super smooth, raised, flattened platform. But that imagery...oooh. There could be some stray puddles around, with very large stalactites (ones that hang from the ceiling) that glitter a bit from the water dripping from them. They grow bigger and thicker toward the back of the room till it forms a kind of chandelier over the "throne". Then stalagmites (the ones on the floor) could circle around it like big deadly spikes as you say. The Iron Throne is a great comparison. *screams*

I can't believe you've been writing Curse for four whole years... that's some amazing dedication, honestly, if you ask me. It's taken me a long time to even find a story I think I can be dedicated to - so I just find it amazing and wonderful that you've stuck with Curse for so long, Shadow.

Chapter 3 - Shadowkit is cursed because of her birth, yes, but also because that outlook was a portal or weak point to the Cursed seven realms or something if memory serves right. So in other cases, any of her female siblings could have taken that spot if she hadn't been the one to go there first. Unless her name was an override button for some odd reason, but it would be interesting had she been tame and say, Blackkit or even Osprey toured the land first and ended up taking the cursed title, meaning the curse wouldn't have been broken for generations more because of the whole name recreation dealio.

Okay, I finished the first part of Chapter 32 and it's great! So intense and Lionshadow is such a dark, tortured, twisted cat. You really develop him well and make him just relatable enough so that he seems human, but evil enough to make him incredibly chilling and, honestly, disturbing.
I'm heading into the second part and I can't wait for the cameos!

They're not finished, and I apologize for the low-quality photos and somewhat illegible handwriting; but I will get a scanner when I'm finalizing them so hopefully they'll look better. ^^"
 Page 31 preview. Of course, it's not finished, as I have to add in Shadowface's markings and the cave background. But Snow was an absolute pleasure to draw; I've always imagined her with a beauty mark and thick arching eyebrows, lol. I wanted to add steam coming out of Shadow's nose/mouth in these panels, but I decided to save it for the next page! (There is a period after she says "You know why", btw, it's just really faint.) Page 13 preview. This one didn't come out as well as the above page, but as I've said, I'll be fixing it. ^^' Crackle was fun to draw as well. I wanted to add Twilight's subtle tail flick, as it's described in the chapter, so I found a way to add it in there. ^o^
