Marvel rp: Post-Civil War ENDGAME SPOILERS

Dr. Jacinda Johnston

Goes by the nicknames Jaci or JJ, will answer to both of them, she doesn't particularly like being called Doctor though. Currently she is not a full member of active fighting teams however, SHIELD has given her the hero name of Adder. Jaci was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1992, making her 25 years of age.

At a young age it was obvious she was very bright. Graduating early she attended University of Oxford and graduated with a medical degree specialized in toxicology. After graduating and obtaining her PhD she moved to back to South Africa. Jacinda began research work in a lab focused on the venomous snakes of the country as well as the surrounding countries. She took a particular interest in this field after hearing about the creature known as Venom in the United States, as well as Dr. Curt Connors who's work lead him to becoming The Lizard. Such as the typical story goes, an accident occurred in her work place with a few of the snakes they were testing. Keeping the incident hidden, Dr. Johnston continued with her own work, submitting research papers to SHIELD and soon getting recognized by them. Though soon after that the affects of the bite made themselves known and SHIELD took an interest in her for that reason as well. Dr. Johnston was invited to the SHIELD base shortly before the civil war incident occurred. She did not take a side during the course of the event, though felt herself drawn towards the freedom of the Avengers, with Captain America.

Jacinda is a light-hearted and well-educated young lady. Always enthusiastic and never seeming to be down-hearted, her hands are often in her lab coat pockets and her hair is tossed about light-hearted. She is funny and easy going, never seeming to take herself very seriously, despite her title and accomplishments. Jaci is witty and enjoys bantering with anyone, especially enjoying a conversation with Mr. Stark or Mr. Banner (when he was still around) when given the chance. Talkative with any who seem interested, and often with those who aren't, Jaci will happily learn about you and how you came to be who you are. Her pleasant accent from her South African heritage and United Kingdom schooling still remains as well. Interested by many things in the world, Jacinda always wishes to be one of the first to greet a new mutant brought in by SHIELD. The doctor also knows how to be serious though, despite her rather outgoing and enthusiastic nature. She understands the severity and the seriousness of their powers and attributes, as well as the influence they have on the world, and does not take those topics lightly. Though she may disagree with people on certain topics, she does not let that interfere with their jobs or their relationships.


The young doctor stands at a taller height of 5'9" with a slim and athletic build. Her curves are there though not too distracting and her skin is lightly tanned from years out in the sunshine, with freckles splashed across her nose and cheeks. Jaci's hair is a light brown color with sun-kissed highlights of a lighter, almost blond color, and her hair fall in light waves just to her shoulders. Framed by thick lashes, her eyes are a soft color of stormy-gray with hints of blues. A bright smile with slightly pointed canines, can off-set her pleasant features when one doesn't expect it. Across her shoulders, the back of her neck, upper arms, thighs, and lower back are patches of scales that resemble that of the Puff Adder in patterning. Her usual attire is a white t-shirt beneath her lab coat and a pair of simple skinny jeans paired with comfortable black loafers.

The bite from her lab years ago caused only slight changes to the doctor's personality and being, unlike that of Spiderman or Lizard. Jacinda has the patches of scales that appeared across her skin, though they seem not to spread after reaching their current extent. She has a penchant for eating small critters like mice. She does indeed have a bite similar to that of a Puff Adder, venom and all. Her acuteness to cold temperatures has also risen and her senses are heightened, as well as being able to see much better in low-zero lighting. Her reflexes are as sharp as T'Challa's and her movement's as swift as the snake that bit her. Over the years, Jaci has learned a bit of hand-to-hand combat though is still training to work further on those skills. She is much more an analytical and strategical portion of the team, though would love to be able to actually go out and make a difference as well. To make herself more marketable during her college years, Jaci spend quite a few years learning Spanish, French, and Arabic, though hardly uses them in her trade now.
