(If you want, I think we can maybe skip the whole battle in New York with Ebony Maw since the rp has kind of moved past that. We can skip to when Thor and Rocket get to Nidavellir too.)
(And about Doctor Strange... well, I just checked the list on page 91 and Cap has Star-Lord, you, Tals, have Iron Man and now temporarily Thor, I have Rocket, Ebony Maw, and Gamora (who won't be there), Night has Thanos, Spider-Man, and Nebula, and Mantis, Drax, and Groot are unclaimed. So, if you rp Strange for now, then, yeah, all the Stark and Strange stuff would be by yourself. But Night also has Spider-Man. However, if I rped him, then all the Strange and Ebony Maw stuff would be by myself, but that might not be as much as Strange and Stark, as Ebony Maw dies in the middle there. I guess it depends which you think would be better and less one-sided, because idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm fine with taking Strange if you don't want to rp him and Stark by yourself, he's awesome 👍 Or, of course, we could just have someone else take him to avoid all of this.)

Cap:
Steve looked from Jean to the others, watching how they were handling the situation, as well. It was who he thought it was, but he had also been wondering what the others had voiced aloud, which made him grow confused. He didn't know Jean, but he'd heard of her, and he'd heard that she had died. Jean Grey was dead, wasn't she? So, he glanced curiously at Alyona, taking in her words, and then he lifted an eyebrow at Bruce. When he'd 'died' back in the 1940s, there had been some pretty weird stuff. But, ever since coming back from the ice, the world had become even crazier. Not only was there the tesseract and science experiments that turned men into super soldiers. Now there were other dimensions and realities, something he still had trouble wrapping his mind around. Sure, those things probably existed back then, as well, but it was only now just something becoming more... normal, so to say. How could one be dead... and alive? And what did that mean of his alternate self? Was he dead in the reality that this Jean came from? Was he still Captain America? His head spun, so he stopped thinking, and then narrowed his eyes at Jean, listening to her explanation. "So, you are a friend," he said, slowly, repeating what he'd heard from Bruce. "Is that why you are here? You intend to help us beat Thanos?" Otherwise, they were wasting time. They had to be on that jet to Wakanda yesterday.
And then he saw movement out of the corner of his eye -- more people entering the room -- and he spotted Natasha. She'd motioned over her shoulder, and his eyes were directed at Borya. Immediately, he saw Viktor step in front of Alyona, separating the two. How many more interruptions could they take? There was a war outside that they needed to fight... or, rather, a war that they needed to prevent. Unless all of these people were allies and unless they were here to help, they didn't have a lot of time. "Borya," he spoke, letting his gaze rest on the man, "are you, too, a friend here?"
Bucky:
Bucky stopped at Steve's outstretched arm, and he took a step back. Still, his eyes were narrowed and he regarded Jean with suspicion. Friend or not, why had she decided to show up now? And why hide herself? Who knew how long she had been listening to them, watching them, before she decided she should finally make an appearance. This made Bucky uneasy -- and slightly annoyed. He'd had his mind messed with and he'd had enemies inside of his head. He didn't like that Jean was able to get inside of his head. He clenched his hands at his side, silent. And then he saw Borya enter the room with Natasha and another girl. His narrowed eyes did not waver. Borya had... changed after he'd come back, but just the sight of the man made Bucky feel both guilty and angry. Besides, changed or not, he still didn't trust Borya.
Logan:
Logan paused, holding his hand in front of her, stopping her from leaving the room. His claws slowly slid back out as he stared at her with narrowed eyes. "How do you know my name?" he asked. He didn't remember introducing himself, and the way she talked with an air of authority made him feel like she knew a lot more about him and this whole situation than she was letting on. He was the one in charge here, or did she forget that this was not her base? "I get that we have a common friend here, but I never told you my name. Who am I to you?" he asked, a growl.

No worries Carol- i understand how college is. I saw your question earlier and i just lost it from my mind but i intended to reply rip but im good! beginning of the semester, and already a big snow storm coming through! how's your sem. going so far?
also, thank you for taking up Strange. If you want Thor as well, I'll hand him over. The only issue is just Strange and Tony's interactions. I thought I'd give it up to someone if they wanted. I dont want to hog all the characters, yknow? *shrug*
___
The fact that Borya was questioned by Steve- his evergreen hues turned to stare him down. He was at least a good six inches taller, so his head was subtly tilting downwards and staring into that blue gaze. "If I had wanted to kill my sibling, I would have done it under the cover of night where no one is awake Mr. Rogers," his thick accent rang out. "And a lot more stealthier than what you would think. But Im here for..." he gave a subtle nod to his sibling, "To hopefully apologize to more than just her." His gaze immediately turned to meet Bucky, aware of his searing gaze. His jaw then tightened, looking to Steve then.
"I dont want your focus. You said war? Natasha said relocation? Then we are waiting too long," his eyes narrowed on Jean for a moment, almost accusing her of staling their group for needing an explanation. But the man kept his mouth shut and simply looked to his little sister scurry away from him and Viktor to hide behind Steve and Bucky. The two that she would entrust the most to protect her- it made sense. He wasn't hurt, but it made him curious as to what they meant to her.
Alyona was still weary of him. It was made apparent when she tensed up ever more and peeked around Bucky's figure and glared heatedly at her brother. Old habits die hard they say, and this was one of those habits. The stranger could be pestered later, they needed to move and act fast and if they didn't, who knows what could happen to Earth. If Tony and Strange were on their own, and it took the brute force of Steve and Sam and Natasha, then how are they fairing? It was worry that now pressed her brows together, lips curling into a soft frown as her brows scrunched

(So, some starters for Thor and Doctor Strange to come in they took a very long time, oops) Rocket:Rocket, Groot, and Thor wasted no time in getting straight to Nidavellir. They'd taken a few jumps along the way to save time, but now they were as close as they could get by hopping, and their pod sped through space unaided toward their destination. They were passing by the edges of a small nebula at the moment, tendrils of orange and gold drifting by them, but Rocket was focused on the bits of asteroids and rock ahead. It would be quicker to go through them than around them, but the pod wasn't on autopilot, which meant Rocket had to maneuver through it all himself. Which, of course, would be easy, as long as he payed attention. He was a master pilot. His ears, however, were pricked to pick up any comments offered by the two behind him. They'd remained mostly silent during the whole trip, the only noises coming from that game Groot seemed almost glued to. He’d warned Quill not to get that thing for Groot's fourth birthday, everybody knew games like it had a reputation for addiction, but he hadn't listened. Which honestly wasn't surprising. Quill was kind of addicted to that music making Zune of his, too. Still, just as Rocket had feared, Groot now refused to put it down. Even when the entire universe was in danger. Figures. If he was honest, Rocket had become a bit overprotective of Groot in the years he'd gotten to watch him grow up again. It had felt a bit strange at first, his best friend being reborn and all, but in a way, Groot wasn't really the same as his old self. He was something new. And of all the other Guardians of the Galaxy, Rocket was the one who helped raise Groot the most. So, naturally, when Groot took to constantly disappearing behind a screen, Rocket wasn't at all pleased. No one could stop him, though. Not even the threat of Thanos killing them all. And that was a problem. Rocket pushed the thought out of his mind. Groot's game should be the least of his worries at the moment, he was on his way to a planet he'd thought was legendary to help a pirate/angel/god get a new Thanos-killing superweapon. Clearly the priority out of the two. Speaking of which, now that the pod was deep inside the field of hunks of rock and darkness, Rocket decided it would be best to ask Thor, “When will we be close?” He didn't want to endlessly drift through this stuff without knowing how much longer he would have to. Ebony Maw:The plan to bring the Time Stone into Thanos’ hands was going exactly as Ebony Maw intended… except for one minor inconvenience. The Stone was still attached to a sorcerer from Earth, and the Maw was unable to get it off. Which meant that he would not be able to give it to Thanos. Of course, this was far from ideal, and he would put up with tricks and petty spells no longer. If Ebony Maw didn't get the Stone to Titan on time, which included getting it off the sorcerer, Thanos would not be pleased. The Maw would have failed him. He would not have done as his father asked, and every child of Thanos knew what happened if they failed. Their sister, Nebula, was a prime example. A piece of her replaced with machinery just for every time she lost a fight with Gamora? For Thanos, that was a gentle, lenient punishment. They all knew what he could do, had seen it firsthand, had even helped at times, and failure was practically synonymous with one's demise. Ebony Maw had to admit it, the immense level of power Thanos had and wasn't afraid to use even on his children was incredible. The Maw couldn't help but admire him, maybe even too much, even when he might be in danger of punishment. It wasn't just any being who had the ability and the will to collect all six Infinity Stones and use them to inflict his will upon the universe. Hardly anyone could even hold a Stone, and the fact that he could was remarkable. He would never cease to amaze the Maw with his grandeur, punishment or no punishment. Besides, the Maw had no reason to fear that he would be punished. The sorcerer was just that, a minor inconvenience, which the Maw would easily take care of. He may not be able to remove the spell on the Time Stone's container himself, but he could certainly get the human to do it. All it would take was a little convincing. After the Maw made sure that the Q-Ship was set on course for Titan, he stepped back to where he'd left the sorcerer unconscious and suspended in midair. He knew just the way to make the human give in. So, he lifted an ash-gray hand and summoned dozens upon dozens of needles with his telekinesis, all reflecting fragments of light and drifting into the piloting room like a cloud of shattered glass. The Maw then positioned each one around the sorcerer, surrounding him on all sides, inches away from puncturing him in every place most painful to feel and more. Interesting how the Maw could take things made for microsurgery, for helping and healing, and use them for effective persuasion. At the moment, the human was hanging limp and unconscious, but Ebony Maw would be waiting to act as soon as he awoke.

Cap:
As they waited for Jean to respond, Steve kept his eyes on Borya, staring up at the taller man. "I will not stand in the way of your apologies," he said, allowing for a slight dip of his head, "but you know that it will be a long time for us to fully trust you after all that you've done, even if someone was inside that head of yours." He took a slight step back, and then he looked behind him towards Alyona, who he'd seen step behind both him and Bucky. He gave her a sympathetic glance; he felt bad for her, after all she'd been through as well.
Bucky:
Bucky saw the glance that Borya sent in his direction, and he narrowed his eyes even more. Both Borya and he had something in common: they'd had people in their heads and they'd done some pretty bad stuff... killed people, innocent people. Bucky had a hard time understanding how anyone had forgiven him after what he'd done because he still had trouble forgiving himself. He remembered all that he'd done, even if he wasn't in control of himself, and it didn't make any of it less real. All that death was still his to blame; he'd been the one to pull the trigger each time. He guessed that just meant that he had good friends, that they all were better people because they were able to forgive... But Bucky wasn't one of those people. He wasn't kind like them. Maybe once... but he'd been the Winter Soldier. That sort of thing left him with a hole and more pain than he could sometimes bear. And that also meant that just as much as he couldn't forgive himself, he also had trouble forgiving others for similar mistakes. Still, he was working on it. He would work on it... because he wanted to forget about the Winter Soldier and make amends. That was how you earned trust back, earned forgiveness: by saving people instead of taking their lives, by righting wrongs and doing good deeds. If there was really some good left in Borya, if he really wanted forgiveness from Bucky, he'd have to earn it.

Laura stopped before the arm even came up. Posturing, that’s what this was. She debated jumping him as soon as the claws came out; after all, the way he had his arm extended left a massive opening in the armpit, an area rife with important blood vessels and nerves, and it was too far out for him to correct quickly. He was being aggressive, but not worryingly hostile, so she decided against that course of action, for now at least. She judged the best way to defuse the situation to be the truth. “I’ve got your claws for a reason. In my universe, Logan… I’m your daughter.”

“There’s a reason the Phoenix brought me here,” Jean said. Technically, it was probably White Phoenix that had brought her… which was her, in the past, yet also far into the future. Time loops were confusing, even for X-Men. “Thanos is bad news in just about every universe I’ve heard of, and X-Men spent a hell of a lot of time in alternate universes and timelines. Thor isn’t here. Neither are Iron Man or Doctor Strange. Hulk is seemingly reluctant to make an appearance. You don’t have any big guns. You’re facing a potential world-ending event. I’m an X-Man. Fighting for the world is what I do.”

Alyona was focused on her sibling’s actions, though when Steve spoke, her gaze snapped up to him. Her gaze softened, stance relaxing and she shifted slightly closer to them. It was a comfort, his presence that is. She pressed more into Steve’s side- to an extent. It was more out of comfort and trying to look big next to a contemplating Bucky. It was like a tiger cub trying to roar at a large lion. Which, simply put, made Borya give a subtle nod of his head to Steve’s words. It was an expression of his understanding, a way for the man to simply say, yes. I will do just that.
His gaze however, darkened when he heard Jean’s talking. His lip curled into a faint snarl, almost out of disgust, and simply looked to Steve and Bruce. It was him quietly questioning whether they would be putting up with her. He certainly wouldnt and his change of expression was saying just so. Alyona had let out a hiss of annoyance at her words as well. It was a mark of her own inner argument about who she should dislike more at this point; which, by the looks of it, wasn’t her brother.
“Tony and Dr. Strange are fighting one of Thanos’ men and keeping them from the time stone,” Wanda interrupted then. Her voice was sharp and serious, the woman glaring at Jean. “From Bruce’s story I dont exactly blame the Big Guy from coming out- and frankly if you werent wallowing in your own dam pity for yourself and for Logan, maybe you’d realize the length of the situation and learn a thing or two!” Her voice raised an octave, her face flushed with anger. “And maybe, learn a common curtesy to stay out of people’s heads! If you’re so experienced in traveling dimensions I think you’d realize that by now,” she was outraged- even aware that Jean had intruded with Bucky’s simple reaction. Alyona’s own growls and anger came through and disturbed Wanda’s emotional signals as well. From telepathy to telepathy, someone needed to put Jean down right now. “You just got here and you’re acting like you know everything about us and whatnot. Just sit back, and stop acting like a savior just because you have some entity named the Phoenix in you.”
Bruce was shocked, looking at Wanda and looking at a softly chuckling Borya. Alyona simply smiled and hid it by looking at her feet. However Wanda didn’t stop and continued with, “Because the Avengers have saved the world countless times and the individuals as well.” She wasn’t going to add anything else

Given that this was the first time this world had faced Thanos, Jean very much doubted that these Avengers had saved the world more than her X-Men, but she wasn’t here to bicker. “I’m not saying that there’s no good reason that this team doesn’t have a heavy hitter; I’m offering to fill the role in the event that Thanos makes it through. And I apologize for the intrusion, but if it means anything to you, I wasn’t snooping, merely masking my presence. In my experience, X-Men are rarely welcomed with open arms, so our telepaths are used to hiding the team from others. I’m here to offer my help. And, just to clarify, I’m no longer a Phoenix host. There’s no danger of me going Dark Phoenix.”

Logan:
Okay, what? That hit him like a slap in the face, and he had to blink a few times just to make sure he wasn't dreaming... or having a nightmare. He lowered his arm after noticing the way she'd eyed his posture, and he narrowed his eyes, even more skeptical now than ever. He didn't doubt that he had a daughter, so to say, but... Well, he wasn't going to get into any of that. Instead, he pushed her aside and began to walk down the hall. The best way to cope with what he'd heard -- or any situation he wasn't particularly interested in engaging or that involved any sort of emotion -- was to avoid. "Are we going to find Jean or not?" he grumbled, not even bothering to look behind to see if she'd be following. He knew she would be. She was his daughter. And if she was anything like him, she'd follow.

Cap:
Steve looked down at Alyona briefly and gave her a small nod. He rested his hand on her shoulder, a reassuring gesture, and then narrowed his eyes as Jean talked. He could tell the way the room had suddenly gone colder, the way the others were reacting to the mutant's words. He knew that she was powerful and that the X-Men as a whole were powerful. They could do some pretty amazing things, things that he couldn't even begin to imagine. Steve, himself, was only a super soldier. He was stronger than most men, he was faster than most men, he had accelerated healing... But he didn't have mutant abilities. Most of his team -- The Avengers -- didn't have mutant abilities. They were extraordinary humans... but most were just really skilled or wore a suit. Obviously there were a few exceptions, like the Hulk, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Thor... well, okay, there were more than a few exceptions. But, still, they were human. But the things they did, the ways that they sacrificed themselves... didn't that make them powerful? Didn't their willingness to risk their lives and fight for their world defy having mutant powers? Didn't that make them powerful enough? Steve knew his team wasn't built exactly like the X-Men... there were certain things they couldn't do. But saving the world wasn't one of those things. Saving the world was still something that he believed the Avengers capable of. And he'd risk his last breath doing so if he needed to. So, when Jean said his team wasn't good enough, that hurt. Maybe they weren't perfect, but they were willing to do what it took and they weren't going to stop. That was good enough, and he didn't doubt his team, even if Thanos was a bigger threat than they'd ever faced.
He didn't quite expect the fighting words from Wanda, but he was glad that she'd spoken up for them. When she'd finished and Jean had added her thoughts once more, he added his two cents, as well. They weren't giving up. And they'd take all the help they could get -- he'd be a fool not to accept the help -- but they weren't incompetent or arrogant. He'd admit that they needed help, but he still trusted that, with or without her help, they'd do what they'd always done without her (even if they had to lose): fight. "Maybe we aren't like you, Jean," Steve said, his voice level, "but the safest hands are still our own and we will fight, just like you. We have always fought, no matter the odds. Fighting for the world is what we do, too." He then took a breath and said, "Your help is more than welcome here, but you have to understand that we are a team. No one person stands above the rest. We work together, not alone. That is how we win a war. And that's how we'll defeat Thanos."
Bucky:
Bucky watched the ordeal, now silent. Every so often his eyes flickered to Borya or Alonya, but otherwise he watched whoever was speaking. He didn't have much of a clue about the X-Men or anything, so he didn't feel it his place to talk anyways. Still, he admired the way that Wanda and Steve spoke up for their team. Even as a newer member of the Avengers, he knew what they were capable of. He should know... they'd fought and stopped him as the Winter Soldier. So, he kept his mouth shut, but his mind still questioned Jean's logic. People hid for many reasons. One of which included because they had secrets, and that made the situation even more sketchy. How could you trust someone who hid in the presence of people who were supposed to be friends? That didn't exactly help her case.

Thor Odinson was deep in thought, his mind wandering back to his brother and the last image of him on the ship before Thanos blew it to pieces. One would think a family member being killed before their eyes would make someone sad, and Thor was immensely sad. Despite the fact that the two brothers had probably argued and thrown fists at each other in the last few years more than ever during their childhood's, but he still felt that a piece of him was missing. Loki was the only friend or family he had left, and then he and thousands of Thor's people were killed by Thanos on that ship. That was where his sadness vanished and was replaced by a blinding rage and hatred toward the mad titan who had taken his last family member. Thor was alone, not to mention Mjolnir had been destroyed, and although he could channel his lightning without the hammer, it did make it a lot easier to focus. Then, Thor was hit by a ship and hauled inside by an odd group of people and a man mocking him, but thankfully the rabbit and tree had came with him on his new quest to Nidavellir where he would replace Mjolnir. If these guardians were going to defeat Thanos they would surely need help from the god of thunder and whatever new god-destroying weapon he could acquire from Nidavellir. Speaking of the guardians, Thor was currently on a ship with Rocket and Groot, the rabbit, er, raccoon and tree. Thankfully Thor understood Groot and had been engaging in brief conversation with the two, learning a bit about the them and the others. Honestly, he was enjoying the presence of the two. Having just lost his family and people, Thor didn't want to be alone and they kept the conversation rather light and his mind managed to stay off the topic of his family until the silence set in, the only sound being the odd box that Groot was holding, which none of the guardians seemed to like. He understood, without even having to discuss it, that the tree and raccoon had a connection. Rocket seemed to care deeply for Groot and take care of him, clearly they had been through a lot together. That struck a chord in Thor, they reminded him of the relationship Thor and Loki shared with their father, protective but caring and concerned. Rocket's harsh voice cut through the beeping of Groot's game, but Thor's gaze remained forward, focused on the dangerous path of enormous rocks and flashes of light and darkness that laid before their pod. "You will know when we arrive, the dying star powers the forges of Nidavellir. It is something you've never seen before, we should be nearing it soon." Thor replied. A part of him was worried. He had been to Nidavellir before, they should have seen the golden rays of the star awhile ago, but he supposed his memory of its location was off, maybe they still had awhile to travel. Thor anxiously awaited the beep of the pods navigation system to alarm them of their arrival at the star's location.

Rocket:
Upon hearing Thor's reply, Rocket used the joystick controls on the arms of the chair to swerve it around in its place and look back at the pirate angel. Thor's gaze seemed to have a distantness about it even though it was fixed out the window, as if he wasn't fully looking, and his expression was subdued. He probably had a lot to think about, Rocket remembered. He’d told the Guardians a bit about the things that had happened to him recently, such as losing family members and half of his people, and Rocket knew from experience that things like that weren't things you got over quickly. He wouldn't wish a pain like that on anybody, and for him, that was saying something. He didn't used to care about being mean, but after losing Yondu, he tried to be better. At least to his fellow Guardians. And for Thor, beating Thanos up with this new weapon might help, revenge and all, but… for now, Rocket decided to talk to Thor about it, if the Asgardian was willing. Rocket still wasn't great at that sort of stuff, but the other Guardians would also think it right to do so. Plus, since fighting Thanos was literally life or death, talking over what they were about to get themselves into beforehand was probably a good idea. So, Rocket switched the manual navigation to autopilot, then got down from his seat and headed to the back of the pod where Thor sat silently. Beside Thor were a few small windows, edges frosted from the cold of space, and nearby was another panel controlling aspects of the pod, which Rocket idled by to give himself an excuse to be back here. Then, he casually asked Thor, as if just making conversation, “So, dead brother, huh?” He pressed a button or two on the control panel in front of him. “Yeah, that could be annoying.”

Doctor Stephen Strange had done many crazy things in his life. Performing crazy and life altering surgeries, saving lives on the daily with intricate and complicated surgeries were so simple compared to the tasks that laid before him in that moment. Sometimes he wondered what his life would've been like if that crash had never happened and he was never launched into this crazy world of aliens, titans, intergalactic heroes, super villains and every other new being he encountered, but then deep down he knew he wouldn't really want to change it. His eyes had been opened in more ways than just one and he was all the wiser for it, maybe a bit less arrogant and conceited, just maybe. Then today had been a mess. It had rained Bruce Banner, which brought along Tony Stark, who Stephen had already grown to dislike in the brief time they had known each other. With his new hindsight on how arrogant he was, Doctor Strange was now aware of arrogant people and he thought the Iron Man could rival his own ego. The two had fought with words before they were interrupted.
A ship had descended from the sky and sent New York into a craze, one might think they'd be used to this sort of activity, even expecting it, but nonetheless it was hysteria. They had fought to the source and met with the very odd pilots of it. From then on it got a little hazy, Doctor Strange knew for sure that a battle had ensued and the last thing he remembered was being strangled by metal rods as "Squidward" attempted to remove the Time Stone from him. Thankfully he had placed a dead-man's spell across the stone, protecting it from the greedy grasp of people like Squidward and his enormous companion. Stephen hadn't met this group before, but based on their maniacal plans Bruce had described to them he knew they weren't the best people to hold the power of the Time Stone.
There was a low and deafening thumping in his head, almost like he could hear and feel his heartbeat in his brain, threatening to burst open his cranium. His eyes remained closed but his mind was slowly awakening from its lack of air induced sleep. Stephen Strange felt odd, like he was lying down but there was nothing beneath him and the air was cold and crisp against his skin and he noticed that his trusty cloak was missing. Then his eyes fluttered open and he realized he was nowhere he recognized. His eyes scanned the room and realized he must've been inside the ship that had descended onto New York earlier and tried to release himself but whatever held him down was strong and he couldn't manage to move himself whatsoever, instead remaining suspended in mid-air, with the minion of Thanos standing beside him, with a look on his face that sent a slight chill down his spine.
( Maplestone360 I am just so out of it so so so so sorry . I will get Thor's reply up ASAP )

(It's alright, I know school sucks and it can take anyone over with busy-ness. You're doing Doctor Strange perfectly, though. ) Ebony Maw:Ebony Maw's prisoner was awake. Good. It was time to get this over with once and for all. As soon as the sorcerer opened his eyes and lifted his head up from having been hanging limply before, the Maw took a few slow steps closer to where he hung in midair. As the Maw walked, moving into the light from the back of the room that lit up the human where he hung, he said, “In all the time I have served Thanos, I have never failed him.” The Maw didn't stop until mere inches away from the human, stepping between the cloud of needles surrounding him, and where he floated, he was directly level to the Maw's gaze, cold, colorless, like shards of ice that stung to the touch. “If I were to reach our rendezvous on Titan... with his Time Stone still attached to your vaguely irritating person... there would be judgement.” And, of course, the Maw would not let this sorcerer cause that, no matter what lengths he had to go to. Ebony Maw was never one who caused others pain for the fun of it, as Thanos and Nebula would occasionally do, or even go overboard in their necessary interrogations and threats just to be dramatic. He always did what he did for a reason. Whether it was aiding in Thanos’ noble quest to bring balance to this poisoned universe, or even the less direly world changing things. The Maw was always efficient. This would not be the exception. So, he raised a single finger to alter the position in which the needles were floating, causing them to inch just a bit closer to the human, and the one closest to his face didn't stop even as it penetrated his cheek and continued to sink in, turning the flesh around it white and glowing. Just this one needle would be enough to cause immense pain. If it wasn’t enough, the Maw would add more. And more. And more, until his prisoner finally gave in. They weren't due to reach Titan just yet… which meant he could be patient in the meantime. “Give me. the Stone.”
