Though his words still made her blush, Jamie smirked at the silly Cheshire that she loved, I thought we had enough encounters with that in the past that you'd be sick of it by now." She teased though her words rang with truth. They always seemed to run into trouble, especially when in Wonderland.
"Just who is the most dry by the time we get bored," Carter shrugged then looked back at Eric. The younger brother seemed disappointed that Eric didn't have a drop on him while he was soaked to the bone. The younger boy leaned in and whispered, "lets tag team Eric, okay?"

"But we always make it out don't we?" The Cheshire chuckled as he tilted his head back, closing his eyes while the faint breeze passed by them, carrying the scents of cotton candy and other amusement park foods. "You're right though. I think I've had enough with danger. At least for now." Boris offered a grin as he looked down at the dark haired girl. Following his statement came a light kiss to the top of her head along with a purr in his throat.
Glancing over at the drenched boy and then back at the completely dry Eric, Cana smirked, nodding her head quickly. Behind her smirk was a wicked deception plan. Teaming up on someone who doesn't stand a chance? Eric would soon find out just how non-twisted Cana's moral were.

Jamie shrugged in response but didn't say anything. They had been through a lot together, way too much by normal people standards. She met his gaze then happily closed her eyes when his lips brushed her forehead. "I agree wholeheartedly. Let's just be normal-- whatever that means." She shuffled forward as the line moved.
Carter turned and pumped his water blaster a few times which caused Eric to skeptically raise an eyebrow. The younger boy shouted and charged at his older brother, aiming straight for him before promptly getting blasted with water. Eric simply grinned then turned to aim at Cana.

Boris couldn't restrain the urge to laugh at the mentioning of 'normal'. As they shuffled further forward to the front of the line, he quieted down to a faint chuckle before going silent. "It looks like we'll be on the next car." He pointed out to his companion, his ears swiveling at the sound of children talking about him nearby.
With the help of her evasive skills, Cana easily moved out of the way and drew back her blaster to aim and fire at the older brother. She moved to Carter's side, grinning down at him as she continued firing at Eric

Jamie grinned but it quickly faded for she hadn't realized how close they were to getting on the wild ride. She mustered up the bulk of her courage which made the butterflies in her stomach vanish. "This is going to be so much fun!" She squeezed his hand tightly as though she was trying to convince herself more than him. The dark haired girl noticed Boris was distracted and followed the direction his ears faced and she saw a small group of children. As soon as she met their gazes, their eyes widened and they turned away. The girl snickered, "must be something scary going on with my face to get that reaction."
Carter gathered his bearings and began firing at his older brother. Eric was moving quickly to dodge, ducking behind a tree to avoid the blasts of water from Cana. His water gun rested against his chest as he leaned back against the trunk of the tree, waiting and listening for the two of them to approach.

"Of course not." Boris purred, "They're just a little surprised by a Cheshire. I'd say they're just as surprised seeing you interact with one so easily." He emphasized his words with a sway of his tail, wrapping it around her waist and sending a smirk to oe of the children when they worked up the courage to take another quick glance at the couple.
Cana gave a short signal with her right hand to direct the younger brother to take one side while she took the other. He couldn't hit both of them and if he ran, well, she had surprisingly good aim when she put her mind to it. Carefully, she started sneaking up on her side, pumping up the blaster in her grasp.

Jamie smiled at him, bumping her hip against his, "they seem pretty ordinary so I think they're just surprised to see you. They might think you're some impressive cosplayer." The girl leaned forward to look past the Cheshire and watch the boys. They seemed a bit squeamish when they were caught looking by Boris and she giggled at their reaction.
Carter copied Cana's movements and began closing in on Eric. He pumped up his blaster a few extra times just so it was pressurized enough to not only soak his brother but possibly leave a welt. Little did he know that Eric was doing the same, preparing himself to book it out of there.

"I'm impressive all around." Boris boasted proudly as his tail swayed in agreement. "If only they knew I was the real deal. Their tiny minds would be blown." The gesture of an exploding head made by the pink-haired man's hands added emphasis to his expression. He had picked up many strange phrases from his travels, some were familiar and some were obscure and made little sense.
Cana carefully crept up on the tree, her tail swaying behind her while her ears remained pushed forward, alert to any kind of movement the middle brother could make. Once close enough, she made a quick jump around the trunk of the tree, letting out a war cry as she aimed her blaster at Eric.

Jamie giggled at his silly gestures and elbowed him playfully. "Yeah, or they'd hunt us both down and show us off in a museum of some sort." Her tone was light and joking but it made her recall when the government had tracked them all down. It's hard to think any day is bad after that one. The dark-haired girl wanted to check her phone to see if her cousin had contacted her at all but that was doubtful. She plastered on a small smile
Carter released a similar war cry though his wasn't the least impressive. The cry morphed into joyous giggles as the spray from his water blaster struck Eric. He chased his older brother as he tried to flee from the firing from the two blasters.
Eric was trying to shield himself in any way he could but it was hard fighting against two people. "Alright!" He snapped, "I give up! You win!" At this point, he was soaked and probably would have to dry off outside before stepping inside.

Rolling his eyes, the Chesire shrugged his shoulders and shook his head. "What is this talk of putting us in a museum? You just look like a normal human. That'd be super boring to see even in a dusty place like that." He teased lightly before he struck a dramatic pose and ran his hand through his messy locks. "But could you imagine seeing something as awesome as me on display? I would make even the drabblest place sparkle in wonder!" While not exceptionally loud, his voice had picked up in volume and people were starting to stare.
(Lol, he just turned into Mettaton from Undertale for a second there)
Cana finally stopped attacking the middle brother and put down her blaster, looking over at Carter with a grin that showed their victory. She began walking over to Eric before turning on her heel, bringing up her weapon and firing a stream of water at the younger boy, effectively soaking him since he didn't have any time to react. It's only fun if everyone gets a little wet." She mentally chuckled at her internal comment as she stood proudly after her victory over the two.

Jamie punched his arm playfully and began laughing. "Oh, yes. You'd be the main exhibit that everyone would crowd around to see. I can see the headlines now," She gazed into the distance and moved her hands apart as she spoke as if she was uncovering the words, "pink cat-freak steals the spotlight at the Natural History Museum." She gave him a toothy grin, "sounds pretty perfect. You'd be living the life, my friend." At this point, she didn't care who was staring. All that matter was that they were together and things were flowing exactly like they did in the past. Her expression dropped and became a bit sullen as she looked up at the Cheshire, "I missed this."
Eric grumbled and dropped his water blaster in defeat, his hands held up in surrender. "Fine, you guys win but there's still no way Carter can ever beat me on his own." Eric stuck his tongue out at his older brother before he was given a shock: Cana had blasted him. "Traitor!" His small voice shouted and his lower lip protruded as he pouted at her. The older boy began laughing and doubled over, gripping his knees to remain semi-upright. Carter stood there pouting and looking between Cana and Erik before he cracked a grin as well. The laughter was infectious and, soon enough, the smaller boy was joining in.

(AUGH I had my reply typed and the page crashed 😡)
Boris watched as her expression faded from pure joy to one less joyful. Watching her mood change saddened the cheshire and his ears twitched, almost flattening if he hadn't stopped them from doing so. He reached out and took her hand in his, pulling her close. "Hey, it's going to be okay." He purred, lowering his lips to her forehead where he delivered a light kiss. "We've made it this far, nothing will change it now."
The laughter of the two boys put the girl at ease as she joined them in their laughter. It had been a while since she had felt the sense of belonging she experienced while with the group of siblings. Having been constantly on the move, she never liked to stay in one place for long but being with the children and Turner made her want to protect them all she could. Cana was reminded of the monster they had encountered only the other day and she shivered, hoping it never had to happen again.

Her heart sighed in relief as his lips touched her forehead and she bit her lip to keep it from trembling. She swallowed back tears and wrapped her arms around him, "I'm holding you to that" She let out a small laugh after a silence passed and withdrew from the embrace, shaking her head. "Why is it that we always become a TV drama when things like that come up?" She forced the dark, depressing clouds away and broke out a sunny smile, "now how about that roller coaster, hm?" She practically skipped up to the cars for the ride once allowed through and slid into the far-side, allowing Boris to seat himself beside her. "Jeez! I'm getting butterflies in my stomach already!"
The front door to the house opened and closed which caused the laughter to stop immediately for the young boys. Their eyes snapped to attention and their petite bodies relaxed when they saw it was Turner. The older male rubbed sleep from his eyes and didn't to seem to notice that the table cloth had printed its texture on his cheek. "You guys must be having loads of fun. I can hear you from inside." He blinked a couple times to adjust to the sunlight before realizing the soaked trio in front of him, "or should I be saying buckets of fun..?" He shook his head with a small smile before taking light steps down the stairs and scooping Olivia into his arms. He wrinkled his nose when she shoved a dandelion under his nose, "oh, doesn't that just smell lovely."
Eric snickered at Turner's pun and ruffled Carter's hair roughly with brotherly love. He gathered their water blasters and stowed them in a toy crate hidden behind an overgrown shrub. He busied himself with repositioning the branches so the plastic container couldn't be seen. Carter looked up at Cana and said in his small voice, "it's so mom's boyfriend doesn't throw them out." He seemed blissfully unaware that other children didn't have to worry about hiding their toys for fear they might be taken away without reason.

(I'm so rusty at this, but also excited lol)
Snickering as usual to her antics, he slid into the car beside her and lowered the metal safety bar down onto their legs. "Well, you did look like you were ready to get sick even when we were standing in line" was his teasing statement as another round of quiet laughter left his mouth. Without thinking about it, his tail wrapped around his waist so it wasn't getting crushed by the car seat of simply sticking out in the air. The movement was natural; after all, he had done it a thousand times in Wonderland whenever he got on a ride at the amusement park.
The distinct sound of a door opening caught Cana's attention and she shifted her focus to witness the other silver-haired teen emerge from the inside. Her lips puckered and her nose wrinkled as she held in her laughter from seeing the imprinted texture on his skin which he didn't seem to notice. Seeing the four siblings all together made her smile and she merrily followed the youngest boys toward the house. When Carter looked to her, she kneeled down to him. After hearing his statement, she simply nodded, her face blank for a moment before she smiled once again, this time with understanding and placed a hand gently on the boy's head. She had finally begun to really grasp the nature of what this household was like; That it wasn't as perfect as she first thought it was but it wasn't broken beyond repair.

(Same >o< it's been a while since I've really RPed)
Jamie elbowed the Cheshire playfully but couldn't help laughing along. The joking and teasing had subdued her nerves a bit and she felt ready for the ride when one of the operators came around for a routine check on the safety bars. She lifted her hands and winced when the woman jerked the bar but didn't verbally complain. She turned back to Boris with a grin that challenged his own, "are you ready?" Her hands gripped the bar in front of them so she had something for her to clench to death once the ride started.
Turner handed Olivia to Eric who, in response, reached for her eldest brother to be held again but she was carried off. Eric grumbled something at Carter and the youngest boy ran up the steps and held the door for the boy carrying the youngest of them all. Once the two were inside, Turner looked to Cana and seemed a bit uncomfortable as he slid his hands into the front pockets of his jeans, his shoulder hunched, "thanks for looking after them while I... Snoozed." He shook is head and ran a hand through his hair, "I know they're a lot so I understand if you want some sort of compensation in return."

Flashing his signature grin once more, Boris also reached out to grab on to the bar in front of them. "Don't you know who I am? I'm always ready." A few seconds hadn't even passed after he spoke that the cars lurched forward, being pulled toward the steep incline. Adrenaline began to rush through him as he suspected the same was happening to Jamie as he turned to look at her.
Cana waved to the children as they filed into the house. When they left, she rose from her crouched position and stretched her arms over her head. Her ears twitched at hearing Turner speak and she turned to face him directly. "Compensation?" She repeated with a usual faint tilt of her head. It didn't even take a few moments for the shifter to quickly shake her head. "No way. They weren't a lot at all, it felt great; being around children again I mean" A grin graced her face once again, lately having rarely left. "Besides, you let me stay here last night and gave me food this morning, if anything, I'm the one who owes you."

The dark-haired girl squeaked as the cars jerked and began moving forward on the track. Her knuckles were turning white from how hard she was gripping the safety bar but she turned to Boris to return his smile with the same enthusiasm. She turned forward as they began climbing the first hill and she raised her hands high above her head as she waited for the drop. Jamie let out a quick hoot of excitement before it transformed into a scream as they dropped -- a smile never leaving her face.
He blinked in surprise at the 'shifter since he hadn't seen it in that way. Never in his life had someone said that they owed him for something he had done. But there's nothing I really need... He thought but an idea popped into his head almost immediately after. Turner rubbed his chin and frowned at the stubble he felt there, "well, I'm planning on packing up and moving all of us out of here once I have the resources and I might need some help keeping the kids in line." He glanced at Cana from the corner of his eye as he awaited her response. He wasn't used to asking for help but this was more for his siblings than him; at least, that's what he told himself.

Seeing Jamie in such a state, enjoying herself, made the Cheshire smile and forget everything else that happened up until this exact moment. Such feelings were not something he normally dwelt on, but it was all he could think of. He mentally rolled his eyes at himself, internally chuckling at his strange thoughts. As the car dropped at break-neck speeds. All his thoughts vanished and he let out more laughter, sometimes mixing with some screams of excitement as they were shot down the coaster.
The girl's eyes widened and her tail started to wag behind her, betraying her excitement to what he had said. "Are you asking me to come with you?" A tiny voice telling her she was misunderstanding what Turner had said echoed in the back of her head, but she chose to ignore it. If he was saying what she thought he was saying, the answer would most definitely be yes. When they left, there would be nothing left for her here. She'd be right back where she was before, and she liked how everything was now.

By the end of the ride, Jamie's hair was wild and flying in all directions but she didn't show any sign of caring. She hopped out of the car once the safety bar was raised and she turned to Boris, bouncing on her heels, "want to find another ride?" She was clearly on an adrenaline-kick from the one they had just been on. She didn't wait for a response as she grabbed the Cheshire's hand and breezed through the exit and down the ramp to leave the roller coaster behind.
"I, um..." Turner was confused on how the 'shifter had made that leap and was about to tell her otherwise but something stopped him from doing so. It was obvious how excited the possibility of her living with them made her and he hated the idea of depressing her. I wouldn't have to hire a babysitter all the time and maybe she could help with the bills... A silly thought popped in his head, I wouldn't have to get a family pet. The shadow-user rubbed the back of his neck then met Cana's gaze, "yeah, I guess I am. It'd be a lot easier having someone else helping around the house; especially once Olivia starts getting older."

He glanced to her, amused by how energized she was. Even after opening his mouth to reply, he wasn't able to speak before the feisty girl dragged him along the ramp. Boris easily kept up with her stride and changed their position to where they we both walking beside each other rather than her dragging him along. After walking down the ramp and out a way, he reached his free hand up and pointed to another large ride, slightly larger than the last.
Her gaze lit up and she could barely contain her excitement. She bounced quickly, not caring if she appeared childish. "You can count on me!" Cana stated with a firm nod, squealing quietly to herself. She'd had to tell the local butcher that she was leaving, but she figured he'd be able to handle himself without her. He had been fine before so she didn't worry.

Jamie followed where Boris was pointing with her eyes then her jaw dropped at the sight of the coaster. She closed her gaping mouth then turned to look at her partner-in-crime, giving him a determined nod, "lets do this." She gave his hand a squeeze and approached the line for the ginormous ride that he had picked.
(Sorry that one is a little short xD )
Turner's mouth was quirked by a slight smile; Cana's excitement was infectious to even him. "Alright, be ready to go by tomorrow. I want to get them out of here as soon as possible." His eyes roamed the exterior of his childhood home. Sure, he had grown up here but it was no longer a loving, safe environment for the other three to grow-up in. I'll be able to bring forward the first down-payment and I'll worry about the rest later. Now that there was another adult involved, he felt stable enough to leave with what money he had. "I'll be able to transfer to another of the company's establishments but you'll probably need to find work as soon as possible. It's going to be difficult making rent but I think we will manage."

Definitely not scared anymore. Boris thought to himself as he stood in line with Jamie. Even when he looked around, his eyes always returned to her. He stayed close to her side in a protective, borderline possessive manner. It was just his nature to be selfish and not want to share her.
With another quick wag of her tail and nod of her head, she was beaming. "Right, I just have to go tell the butcher that I'm leaving." She responded back. With a quick turn, she shifted into her wolf form, offering him a glance over her shoulder before running off into the forest toward town.

Jamie was unaware of the protective stance that Boris was taking nor would it bother her if she had noticed. She waited in line patiently but continued to bounce on her heels, excited and anticipating the next rush of adrenaline. Her eyes scanned the people around her when she noticed a group of girls eyeing the area beside her. The dark-haired girl blinked in confusion then looked in the direction they were to see Boris. Her ears burned as irritation washed over her and she turned her gaze back to the girls, blatantly staring at them but they seemed to just shrug her off.
Turner nodded in response and watched the wolf run off before heading back inside. He filled the boys in and started packing Olivia's things as quietly as possible. It didn't take long to pack the little girl's wardrobe since her clothing was so small but the real haul would be the furniture. It's going to be a long night... He thought but knew he had passed-down antiques sitting in storage if caught too soon.

Boris naturally didn't take notice of other girls anymore and was more focused on any other male in the area. Even so, with one of his many glances towards Jamie, he picked up on her irritation. At first he couldn't figure out why and was about to ask her when he followed her gaze to the group of girls. With a glance at group and then to the girl beside him, he pieced it together. The line moved forward and the Cheshire couldn't help but smirk at his genius plan. Taking advantage of the now open space, he snaked an arm around his girlfriend's waist and dipped her down, placing a kiss to her lips ignoring the grumbling of the park-goers behind them. That'll show "em
Cana explained everything to her friend, leaving out some of the more intimate details she didn't think Turner would want anyone else to know. The gruff man could only laugh at clasped a hand on her shoulder to wish her luck. He also slid her some money, saying it was in addition to last weeks payment though the light-haired girl knew better. She gave him a tight hug, thanking him for everything and promising she'd come back sometime. With that, she shifted once again and took off back to the house

The dark-haired girl had been focusing on unnerving the girls but to no avail. She absent-mindedly noticed the line moving and was about to take a step forward to close the gap when she felt an arm around her waist. Her eyes widened as she found the world tilting and Boris's lips landing to claim hers for his own. Her cheeks turned scarlet but her eyes closed in response as she returned the kiss, one hand holding onto his arm for support and the other resting on his cheek. The grumbling of the people around them didn't bother her as it normally would have since she was too darn happy to care. She broke the kiss and smiled at him in a sheepish way before straightening and reclaiming his hand in hers. "Yep, I definitely think that worked," she said in a breathless tone.
Turner had loaded all of his siblings' luggage into the bed of his beaten-down, rust-covered truck. The furniture would be harder to maneuver especially since he had to make room for their play-things and an extra seat for Cana. He rubbed the back of his neck which was covered in sweat from the heavy-lifting. At least the boys are doing their share of the work, he thought while looking over his shoulder to see Eric and Carter gingerly placing each outdoor toy into giant, black garbage bags. Eric was subdued and serious since he was old enough to know what struggles the move entailed but Carter was ecstatic. The youngest boy ran over to Turner with the filled bags and handed them over to be loaded with their other belongings. After placing them careful so not to damage them, Turner shooed them away to fetch their bikes while he busied himself with strapping the car seat into place.

"Sorry, didn't think about warning you." He stated, but the grin on his face didn't reflect any sort of regret. "You seemed too irritated for your own good" Chuckling, Boris gently squeezed her hand in his and moved forward in the line. The surrounding people had mixed tones, some groaning at the seen while some chuckled at the display of what he picked up as "young love."
Before Turner and the boys could finish packing and loading up, Cana appeared from the depths of the forest, slowing down to a light jog and she made her way to the truck. She stopped on the opposite side of the truck from of the eldest brother and stretched a bit before sitting up and transforming back to her humanoid form. "Glad to see you didn't leave without me." She joked and looked to the back of the truck and then back to him.

She giggled, bashful from their own display but was pleased to see the girls wrinkling their noses and looking away. Jamie smirked at the Cheshire, "I think it's better you didn't or I might've hit you for suggesting such a thing," she joked but was semi-serious. There were times in which the world would seem to fade away when she was with Boris but she wasn't big on the public displays of affection. She was surprised when her gaze returned to the backs of the people in front of her to see they had moved exceptionally fast. "This line seems to be moving a lot faster than the last..." She was curious of why and peered past the crowd to see that some people slipped out of line every now and then. The cause seemed to be the fear of the height and insane loops the ride entailed.
Turner jumped slightly since he hadn't expected her to return so soon but it shouldn't be much of a surprise since she had been a wolf and took a shortcut through the woods. He smoothed over the startle with ease, "well, I need help putting the heavier things in the back and using Tetris-skills to make everything fit." He knew they weren't going to be able to take all of their furniture along; only the items with sentimental value or antiques would make the cut. The silver-haired male headed towards the front door and called to the boys over his shoulder, "wrap it up, guys! Final run then wash up for dinner." His steps were light and quick as he went up the steps then he held the door open for Cana to enter first.

"Sure you're not going to chicken out?" Boris nudged her teasingly after he had taken notice of her interest in the line ahead. The ride did seem pretty crazy, not the craziest he had been on, but by human standards, it looked pretty intense. He wouldn't judge her if she decided she didn't want to, but he would definitely tease her about it relentlessly.
Cana went into the door, offering the other supernatural a thankful smile. Once she made it inside, her ears perked up as a thought struck her. She dug her hand into her pocket before pulling out a couple wrinkled, hundred dollars bills. Turning to Turner, sha held it out to him. "I usually lose my money, so you should hold on to this. The butcher gave it to me."

Jamie shook her head then smirked at him, "no way. I'm not about to let you tease me for the next five years just because I was too scared to go on this coaster." Sure, she had been a little nervous for the first one but once she starts, she's fearless. She tilted her head as she looked up at the ride, "the only rides I'd be too afraid to go on are those in Wonderland," she stated but kept her voice low so no one else would overhear. It was clear that Boris was odd to the humans around him but, at an amusement park, people wear headbands and park-themed attire all the time.
Turner was surprised when Cana started pulling money from her pocket and held it out to him. He still felt a bit reluctant after her explanation but he gingerly took the cash from her hands. "Alright. We'll find a safe place for it after the move but if you need it just ask." He took his wallet from his back pocket and folded the bills and stored them behind his license. He made sure Cana knew of its whereabouts in case she had to grab it for an emergency and didn't have time to ask. The worn, black leather wallet returned to his back pocket and he made his way to Olivia's room. "First thing going into the truck is her dress-up trunk. Everything has been taken out so it should be fairly light..." At least he hoped it'd be. It wouldn't do them any good if they moved through the house slowly in case Chad (I forgot what name I gave the mom's bf) came home or his mom woke.
