back in Y I got a definitely fake shiny Hawlucha (don't remember the specifics but probably 6IV and high level if not 100) but it was named Rick so I kept it

huh
I went back to the Move Relearner to teach my Beartic Aqua Jet…and it turns out Beartic also learns Superpower!
I have enough Heart Scales (and can get more easily enough) that it's not really a problem if I make a bad decision and change my mind later, but…I really don't want to get rid of Ice Punch, Play Rough, or Rock Slide…but Superpower is tempting…I'm going with Aqua Jet for now but we'll see how this turns out

Yeah, I kind of like Togedemaru, I probably will use them. I'll probably have a Mimikyu, because I have one in Sun and I love her. Maybe I'll transfer another Espurr. I've not yet played a Gen Six and up game where I didn't have one - There's been Lloyd (Y), Kumatora (OR), Magnus (AS), and King Oshoe (Sun).

I do wish it looked a little less like a real toucan, but it's really cute! I might try to SOS chain for a shiny Pikipek sometime edit: Lightningdawn thank you! yours are nice too update: at level 99 my shiny Ampharos is finally strong enough to OHKO level 59 Gumshoos with Thunder Shock (his Special Attack IV is garbage) (also I'm going to replace Thunder Shock when I reach 100) |

(hope it's okay to double post instead of editing since it's been a couple days) I forgot to replace Trick on my Kecleon, and I'm not sure if I like my current Goodra set, but team 2 is working out better than expected! (double battles) Brave Stamina Mudsdale with Assault Vest
moves: Earthquake, Close Combat, Heavy Slam, Rock Slide
Brave Protean Kecleon with Life Orb
moves: Shadow Claw, Shadow Sneak, Trick Room, (still knows Trick but I'm going to replace that with either Brick Break or Protect)
Quiet Water Absorb Vaporeon with Lum Berry
moves: Wish, Protect, Scald, Ice Beam
Quiet Hydration Goodra with Sitrus Berry
moves: Sludge Bomb, Dragon Pulse, Thunderbolt, Flamethrower (whichever move turns out to be least useful will probably be replaced with Protect)
Brave Flash Fire Flareon with Firium Z
moves: Protect, Quick Attack, Will-O-Wisp, Flare Blitz
Relaxed Synchronize Umbreon with Roseli Berry (I might suck it up and move my Leftovers to him but…I still only have one of most of my items…)
moves: Wish, Protect, Toxic, Bite I have not used the Umbreon yet at all but I won 6 out of the 7 battles I did today! one of them was against another Trick Room team which was cool (I let my opponent set up the Trick Room for me) |

I recently watched a video as to why those shinies are the way they were.
Up until gen 5, if I remember correctly, shinies were just the next colour palette over. In some cases, this would lead to really dull shinies, such as Gengar. It also is why similar coloured Pokemon have similar shinies.

I know but it's still such a disappointment especially since Gastly and Gible show so much promise!
I kind of like shiny Espeon but I know the color is objectively awful

Yeah, it is a disappointment.
I like shiny Espeon, but my one complaint is that I wish its jewel on its head was blue.
