ʟız"And what brings a frown to such a pretty face?" Tephra asked upon seeing Tsum frown. Still, he sounded concerned, horned head tilting as spoke. It obviously was because of something her creatures told her, but he couldn't understand squat when it came to sea creatures. Two hands remaining flat on the shores, the other two going in front of him, tracing random patterns in the sand to make a picture of sorts. Tephra was still all ears for Tsum though. ~~~~~ CrackedSkel"Glad you're in better condition than I," Rinqin said, padding through the snow "I'll still see to it that you're checked though. One can never be too sure." Eventually, they arrived at the commonings and castle. The Queen took a path that avoided the commoning though, as not to spook the other elementals. Leading the way into the castle, she requested a nature elemental, with healing powers, come meet her and Aoife in the throne room. Now having a different destination, Rinqin said to Aoife "We should take time to visit another place like the Ashroots. Minus the Darr that ruined it all."

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - What do the Darr do if they bite you? - ROLEPLAY - Aoife didn't get bitten, she observed as she could finally have a look at her tail, but, she did have a few scales missing from where they had pulled the blade away. There was a small cut that may have been a scrap from the teeth, but she wasn't sure. "It was quite nice, yes." She agreed, wrapping her wings around her to try and warm herself up. She was cold from the snow and she desperately wanted to have a good sleep in her fire.
They only had to wait a few minutes before the healing elemental arrived. She was smaller than the two of them and she had large delicate wings that allowed her to hover at their heads. "Oh my goodness, your Majesty, what have you done?" -
"Knock 'em dead, darling."

"I was on a hunt," Rinqin told the healer "Aoife accompanied me, and we encountered some Darr while making a stop at the Ashroots." Settling just in front of her throne, which was made of stone and tree roots, she allowed the healer to actually get to work on her. The Queen said "I can grow forests of my own, yet I can't regrow my own leg. Shameful, really." Some Elementals couldn't preform tricks on themselves. Grumbling, she held out the sap soaked stub, looking over at Aoife. Then, she turned back to the healer to say "And check the General over when you're done. She's near spotless, but it could've been fangs that nicked her."

(In the front page, I stated that if you're bitten or cut, you get what's basically Rabies for Elementals. You become a Darr through that sickness, or if you are truly corrupted)

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - oh o//-//o sorry I missed that. - ROLEPLAY - The healer nodded in response, literally buzzing around Riqin's leg as she started to work her magic to reqrow the leg. After several minutes the leg was fully regrown, but it was a slightly different colour. Satisfied, the healer moved over to Aoife and after a few moments she determiend that the general was fine. "Anything else your majesty?" She asked. -
"Knock 'em dead, darling."

"No, that'll be all," Rinqin decided "You're free to go." The Queen eased herself backward into her throne, still nursing the new leg and not putting much weight on it just yet. Her eyes looked upward, toward the ceiling decorated with depictions of the Founders fighting the Darr. The white orbs stayed trained on the art, as Rinqin said "My ancestors painted that. I always loved looking up at them as my father told me stories about the Founders." Eventually, she looked down, asking "What say you in their standing? Everyone has an opinion, and I know it." The Founders had stopped protecting everyone hundreds of thousands of years ago, but Elementals still had so much to say on it.

"If you so wish," he answered when Tsum asked if she was to bring the body "Very sorry for your loss, by the way." It was hard for Tephra to make emotional bonds, but he had an idea of what it was. Waiting for Tsum to retrieve the old whale, he toyed with the sand some more, even eating a handful. Yawning after, the horns on the side of his head quivered. Something was close. Maybe an animal hard. Brushing it off, considering the small aura, he went back to eating sand.

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - - ROLEPLAY - Aoife looked slightly surprised when she was spoke too again, and then she felt a hot flush of embarrassment sweep over her and she laughed quietly to herself for being so stupid. Of course the queen would want her opinion. Aoife thought for a short time. "I believe, at the time, they believed that we could handle ourselves." She said carefully, "and I think that we were able to for a short while but now that the Darr are increasing in numbers and getting more violent I think they should be coming back, just to advise us about what to do." She took of her helmet and placed it next to her, running a claw over the crest of her kingdom. "Does that make sense?"-
"Knock 'em dead, darling."

ʟızTephra looked at Tsum, then at Old Blue. Reaching, he touched a finger to the respected deceased. The whale began to fall apart into spoke, no rotting or ruining. The smoke then ascended into the air and disappeared. He looked back at Tsum, saying "I wouldn't want to indulge in something you obviously don't like. I can find something else." Sighing softly, he suggested "How about you leave that jog "pond" of yours and take a walk with me? Perhaps we can find something to lighten the mood?" ~~~~~ CrackedSkel Rinqin nodded slowly, saying "It was Tephra's idea, my father said, to leave us. He's always had the idea that we weren't worth even the time we were given." Still looking up at the art, she went silent for a moment. Then she continued "Still, we try, and that's good enough. I agree with you though. I'm considering seeking their guidance soon. They know more than we ever will." They would need it. The Darr hadn't even shown themselves in centuries. Snorting, Rinqin said "I think we should wait, however. It was just one attack, and with petty beings too. Could be something. Could be nothing." Going silent again, the Queen just stared up at the Founders looking down upon them. Convincing them at this point would still be difficult.

Tsum nodded and levitated Old Blue, setting him in the water to sink. "A walk sounds nice, thank you," She said, walking out of the water. Tsum smiled a bit at the thought of not living in the water, she had been under there for days. The fish spreading rumors about the sharks, the coral jabbering on and on about how wonderful their fish are to them, it gets old after a while. Although Tsum is sick of it, she misses it when she is absent from the oceans. Sometimes she goes into rivers to talk to the freshwater fish, just to see what they have to say about their salt water friends. Tsum snapped out of her thoughts and looked up at Tephra. "Should we get going?"

ʟızTephra eased his hulking form up, knuckles pressing into the ground to keep him steady. Nodding to Tsum, he began forward, away from the water's shore. Yet he went slow at first, to make sure the female was actually going to accompany him. Glancing around, Tephra said as he looked over the land "I feel like taking a trip to the Glowing Caves, north of here. What do you think?" Most elementals were familiar with the massive, mountainous area. Mountains full of crystal decorated caves. Tephra could remember when he and the other Founders were little babies, and would play games using the large crystals. It would be interesting to venture back after all that time.

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - - ROLEPLAY - "A sacrifice may be a good idea." Aoife suggested as her tail flicked idly in her though. She would have to get a new blade commissioned for her tail. She could afford it, but it would put a dent in her savings. She knew that the kingdom would provide her amour if she asked, but she was far to proud to do that - besides - most of the armour wouldn't be able to stop a rat biting you. She shook her head hating that she let her thought slip away like it had. She turned her attention back to the Queen. "If need be, of course. As you say, this is only once isolated incident. I don't think that it will repeat, if you warn the kingdom to not go out alone. -

ʟızTephra chuckled at the memory, saying "You looked adorable up there. I almost didn't want to help you down." Smiling a little, he went on "Taking care of the water as I father the fire." Eventually, they arrived at the range of mountains. Tephra picked a big cave opening, gesturing for Tsum to go first. ~~~~~ CrackedSkel"I shall see to it that an announcement of caution is made," Rinqin decided after sitting up. Looking around, she got up. Her spines quivered as she continued "I miss the days when things were easier. Wouldn't you agree?" Beginning to leave the room, she gestured for Aoife to follow. The Queen was bored, and thought that walking the castle might present them with an activity. And doing so alone was just unappealing.

"There is something else," Tephra said as he walked ahead of Tsum "Some nutty nature elemental told me. He told me that there's something before us, our time." The Founders weren't, then suddenly were. They weren't born. They were made, or so the nut said. Shaking his head a little, he went on "But there is no proof of such, so I take it as a mere story from a crazy hermit." Running his fingers over a crystal as they passed, he sighed a little.

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - - ROLEPLAY - Aoife stepped up to follow her queen, securing her helmet as she did so. She didn't want to have to loose it and get another one of those made. They were far more expesnive and took a lot more time to construct. "I miss the times when the Darr were but a bedside story meant to scare the young." She sighed, "I know that they have always been a threat, but ..." She trailed off, "not one this serious." -

ʟız"A child only lives because his mother was alive," Tephra said with a shrug "The before always matters, if it is the right information." Coming to a larger dome area, he went to sit in the middle, looking over the crystals in front of him as he spoke "Have you never thought of what it was like before our time?" Or if there were others like them, perhaps. If they hadn't seen someone of their power by now, then there probably wasn't someone. Snorting, he ran a hand over his face before shaking his head. ~~~~ CrackedSkel "Everything is a story," Rinqin told Aoife "So you should not be too surprised." The Darr were unlike any creature in the realm though, even to an Elemental. The idea made her silent for a while before she asked "Want to head to the library with me? I think there might be some books on the Darr. My father mentioned them, but I think he hid them from me." Must not be good books? Rinqin changed direction to go to the library though, to see if she could find the books.

"For now," Tephra agreed, looking at Tsum as she settled in front of him. Reaching, he grabbed a nearby crystal, and easily started cutting into it with a claw that appeared on his finger. It took a short while, but he eventually had a flower to present her. Hey, there was nothing else to do.

Tephra shrugged, saying thoughtfully "Maybe I can keep it with me, so you have to come visit more often just to see it." It was still Tsum's flower though, but he didn't want her to lose it, like she said. And actually, Tsum was able to visit Tephra. Most would assume he lived in a volcano or something, but he actually lived in a valley. The hottest thing there was a bed of coals he slept on, and they weren't even that hot.

OOC CHATTER - orry sorry been super busy - ROLEPLAY - Aofie nodded in response. "Of course, my Queen." She responded as she stepped after Rinqin. It wasn't often she attened the royal library, mostly as she had trouble reading - not that she would tell anyone this, of course, but she did not read for pleasure, it was more of a chore for her. Besides, stories read aloud in a public place, where people are able to attend and just listen .... thats what she loved about stories. -

ʟız"I can say the same for myself too, just not exactly meaning the flower," Tephra decided. Then, he paused again. He heard that chirping noise, the warbling. Turning his blazing head, he could see shapes moving around, in the dark area just out of the range of crystal light. ~~~~~ CrackedSkelOnce at the grand room, she began looking around for certain books. She asked the earth elemental that served as librarian a few questions, and the tiny figure tilted his head. Saying he'd be back after searching for something, he turned and trotted off. Rinqin went back to looking around, going to the history section. She smiled as she saw familiar names on the spines, battles and armies and more. Looking over at Aoife again, she asked "Any type of book you like? I'm more of a history type myself. Love old tales and lore."
