She softened, thought it was marginal. Fi looked him up and down, resisting the strong urge to roll her eyes at his posh way of ridding imaginary dirt off his fancy jacket. She bit her cheek a bit, and stepped to the side. "M'Fi." Fia answered back abruptly. It was much more casual than his own greeting, which she only noticed after she'd already said something. Of course. She meets a cute guy, which, by the way, she'd noticed after barking at him, and ends up coming off rude and judgmental. Not to mention a bit of a klepto.... Great start.
The raven-haired girl bit her cheek a bit, looking flushed. "I'm sorry too." She murmured quietly. "I have to admit, I'm in a bit of a bad mood." Maybe that would help? Growing up the way she did, social etiquette- what to say when -was never her strong suit. And, add in that apologies were not acceptable in her own culture...
She ran her fingers through her hair, fingers catching on mostly unkempt curls, which made her pause. Better not mess up her appearance any worse before she could get to a bathroom to fix it. Even still, Fi did look pretty, in a nondescript way. Pale face and eyes, with dark, curly hair that went down to her waist. She was short, around 5'2", and her style didn't look too 'homeless' as of late. Dark jeans with holes that could be written off as professionally distressed instead of holey, and an old faded band t-shirt that could possibly just look like something from a nice vintage store. Her navy Chuck Taylor's hightops had seen better days, but most didn't mind that when it came to the shoes.

✒ Annabelle heard him say something, but all she could hear was her heartbeat and the blood pulsing through her. Adrenaline kept her from feeling the pain, but it didn't stop the warm liquid from sliding down her face. It certainly didn't stop the next hit from knocking her to the floor. She could feel the bruise already forming as her cheek pulsed with pain. She was just glad that her eye hadn't been hit by the blow, it probably would've been swollen shut the next day if it had. She heard what he said next. Every word, and the fear that had enveloped her left in one sweep. All she felt now was a white hot anger that burned her insides. "No one fights the captain?" She scoffed. "You must've led a life full of luxury then, and that's coming from the rich person you're robbing!" A captain to her was the person who led the charge, not the one that sat back and watched. The captain was meant to carve the path, not watch it be made with a smirk. This man wasn't a captain to her, just another pirate. She wondered how he even became a captain, she couldn't imagine people rallying behind him. There must've been mutinies on his ship every other weekend. She saw the blood lust in his eye and couldn't help but frown. He just wanted her dead. She was just a play toy to him, he didn't seem to care about anything else happening. All of his attention seemed to be on her, and she couldn't help but shiver. She was not however about to give him the satisfaction of her begging for her life. "This is your master plan?" She asked coldly. They didn't seem to have planned ahead for this, she doubted he even knew who she was. Killing her would be like chucking a diamond into the ocean, just a waste. Template made by Gengar ♀

I Can Help
Catherine stared over at the new enterance with curiosity filling her. She shouldn't be so surprised though, speakeasies always has multiple escape routes in case the fuzz came after them. Although in Catherine's eyes, she did not view mobsters like Riley as criminals. They were just trying to make a living in her perspective. Maybe that's why she didn't have many friends. Most of the ones she used to have didn't trust her judgment and Catherine couldn't blame them, the idea did sound a bit...out there. She followed a few feet behind Riley as he opened the enterance, "Yes I'm ready." Catherine wasn't sure what kind of car she was expecting but for a mobster she expected something a bit extravagant. They were always like that whenever it came to cars or the suits they wore. For wanted men, Catherine had to admit they dressed very nice for the part.

Jacob felt as if he had embarrassed her some how. Her attitude had changed into a more meek and quiet person versus the tough person she came out as at first. Maybe she was just in a bad mood like she says. It could be problems at home or school or anything really. Although, why should Jacob ponder the thought when he could just ask? Would it be too forward to ask though? He didn't want her to shy away if he could help her somehow.
Jacob looked down at her meeting her gaze as to not come off rude, "Would you like to talk about it? I get it if it makes you uncomfortable..." he told her giving her a slightly crooked smile. He hoped he came off as approachable. But as soon as he thought that Jacob wanted to roll his eyes, he was beginning to sound like his parents. They were always trying to get him to look nice and use certain phrases around different crowds. It was aggravating to say the least.

Asa glared down at the girl. She underestimate him greatly, and this could be the biggest mistake of his life. Asa was far from a coward, he was far from weak. If he was as weak as she took him for, he would be cowering in a corner, not controlling an entire crew of pirates who take in every word that comes out of his mouth. Was that cowardice? No, Asa was far from soft. He didn't say anything back to her, he figured she wanted a reaction out of him, to make a fool out of him. But it would not work, not today. But then he remembered her words. She just told him she was rich. She had money, and money would follow where she is. Her parents would pay a good price for her, especially if he was threatening to sell her away. He hadn't thought about it until now, and he had a mischievous grin come across his face.
"Lewis!" He turned his face to the direction of the stairs and bellowed the boy's name. He would he able to hold her for now. She was just a woman. A scared woman who's words were supposed to scare him instead. Words don't work with men! She should know, but he didn't think about it for too long. "Get your [curse] up here!" Lewis was the only one of his crew members he ever cursed at. Maybe it was because he was the newest. He had a tendency to do that sort of thing. Asa turned to the girl once Lewis came up the stairs, "You say your rich. You could be worth something. Expect your life to go downhill from here." He told her before grabbing her by the hair and yanking her up from where she was sitting. He thrust her to Lewis who caught her in his arms before binding her hands together much more gently than Asa would have liked. Although that wasn't his worry at the moment. "Walk with me as we take her down to the ship. She'll be part of the payroll." Asa told him before heading down the stairs, hearing another two set of footsteps in which he knew he was being followed by Lewis and the girl.

Aurik felt his eyelids flutter, watching this female move in from a set of doors and into the room. Swallowing slowly, his blue eyes kept following her form and watched her sit down. Hearing her words, his ears pricked. He could make out words, mind calculating and turning the foreign tomgue to native, and he finally registered what she said. His eyes immediately moved from Shanon, thinking of a way to respond. He could only think, trying to piece it together in english before he swallowed slowly.
His soft and thin lips parted, making sure to keep his accent from his voice when he spoke- and steadied his heart beat that decided to race, "I... Remember a shell. And i was hit..." His hand raised, fingertips brushing over his defined cheek and giving a frown when he found a bandage over it. "The blast pushed me back and i felt warm oozing just..." It was in that moment Aurik nearly went into panic, but the way his bare chest remained in the calm breathing state was odd. The youth training did well for him.
Aurik shoved the covers off of him, the man getting up and standing at a height of 6'02". He found bandages over mid thigh and down, with more pinkish ones that covered his back. He spun around in his spot, coming to a stop and staring over his shoulder to the wound that peeked out below said items and rested on his shoulder blade. It was worse than he thought it was. Looking to Shanon, his eyes flickered with emotions, and the only sign of distress was the fact he sat down and put his head in his hands.

Fi shrugged. "Not really." She answered honestly, laughing a bit at her answer. "I mean, thanks though. That's really, kind." Her voice went a little high, mainly because it hit her how rude she'd been, and how it clearly hadn't fazed him. The fire-cracker in her had been snuffed pretty quick, around a person she didn't want to snub. Contrary to his own polished speak, she just continues to stick her foot in her mouth.

Behind Enemy Lines
Sharon listened to her patient as he described what he remembered. It didn't seem like he recalled much, but there wasn't much Sharon could do about it except care for him as best as she could. He seemed to have forgotten completely where he was, which wasn't unusual, most soliders that came through the emergency room doors didn't know what was happening or happened. She was about to get up when he stood to take him back to his bed but she stopped herself not wanting to startle him. He seemed to already be very nervous. "It's okay. I know it's a lot to take in." She told him slowly, and raised her hand, placing it on his shoulder just as slowly. Sharon wasn't expecting him to be as toned as he was and was slightly taken aback but she just kept her hand there. He needed comfort more than anything at the moment.
"Do you even remember coming to the hospital mister...?" Sharon wasn't sure how to pronounce his last name. She had never seen one like that, but it looked German. She didn't give it a lot of thought though, they couldn't possibly be caring for a Nazi in this building. If there was she would surely get fired or one of the other nurses for confusing his uniform.

Jacob smiled at the girl who addressed herself as Fi, "Well, I tried." He chuckled and shrugged his shoulders. "But I'm pretty bored, did you want to walk around he park or something? I can't go home until..." Jacob checked his watch before looking at Fi again, "1530." He told her casually before realizing she may not know the 24 hour clock and added, "Oh uh, 3:30 I mean. Yeah my mom thinks I'm at work right now." He told her. Jacob actually called in sick today because he just didn't feel like working. Lazy, he knew, but it was just one of those days. His mother would be mortified if she knew though, tell him he was no better than those gangs who do nothing but stea and sell drugs for a living. Jacob figured she was exaggerating. His mother had tendency to do that...all the time...

There was a dangerous glint of intelligence in her eye as she watched the captain leave. Despite her situation and the burning sensation of pain, she had a faint smile. He was going to kill her. Yet here she was, alive. He was impressionable, movable. She herself was not physically strong, not nearly close to even this Lewis's caliber of strength, but she wasn't entirely useless. Years spent with her nose in books had paid off, years of watching her father negotiate deals had worked. This captain was most likely of the assumption she was completely powerless, but he had just proven to her that she wasn't. Her life may have taken a sudden swan dive down, but it wasn't as far as it could've been. She didn't feel nearly as weak as should have, and she wasn't very afraid in that moment. Maybe she was crazy. Maybe she was insane-- maybe she was wrong, but it didn't matter to her. She'd finally done something-- changed her own life in seconds. She had stopped bleeding, now the blood had dried, staining her face and a few strands of hair. She definitely looked worse than she felt, her hair fell in loose waves around her face, the braid she had had her hair in was disorderly, strands poking out at awkward angles, and now her face was a multitude of colors, reds and nasty purples, yet she was able to keep herself standing tall even as Lewis tied her hands together. She was surprised at how gentle he tied them, it was something she hadn't expected. Not after meeting the short-tempered captain. She was thankful for this, and to repay him she did not struggle against him as they began to move. Although her eyes kept flitting for an escape route of some sort, but she didn't see any that she could actually manage. She grew immensely more grateful that Mary Ann and the others were safe, now she knew for a fact that they would've been killed. Her father wouldn't have paid much to save their lives even if they had been held captive.

The thin girl smirked at bit. "Aw, well you can't disappoint mother dearest." She commented, cocky. "What'd'ya have to lie about, silver spoon?" Fia teased, adding some similar to a nick-name. It was really name-calling. Kids who grew up in the hood had parents who went on, and on about how they didn't have their baby food fed to them from a silver spoon. Everything served on a silver platter. Of course, the teen knew now that even rich families didn't typically look like their counterparts in the movies; debutantes in the modern day, a service entrance and fancy china for every meal, but it made a good joke a least.
"I'll walk with you, but you'd better tell me all about mommy dearest..." She decided, smiling.

Aurik tensed up below her touch, eyes widening and body ready to strike when he froze. His heart leapt in his throat, and all he could do was stare at her. An American... Touching him.. It seemed he was back to himself- however it was kept hidden. As much as he wanted to reveal how disgusted such mutts would dare touch him, he didnt show it. Instead, he stared at her green eyes. For a long moment, he felt himself get lost in them before those frosty blues turned away.
"No... I just... Remember blacking out and then waking back up," he told her softly. He swallowed for a moment, having had lifted his head up before he rubbed his neck. If anything his superiors must've counted him amongst the missing after the battle. His eyes closed, thinking of how he would report back to his officer- if he even made it out alive. His hands clasped together, sitting up straight and turning his gaze over to her figure. She definitely wasn't Ayran... But something in his heart was plucked... Like Cupid opted to stop and pluck the first strings of love.
He didn't recognize the foreign feeling, but he let his blonde brows twitch as a sign of feeling something stirred within before he slowly reached his hand forward. "Is... There any belonging of mine here?" He asked seriously. If they got their hands on his id and bag- he'd be a fox caught inside the fox trap. They'd probably interrogate him until he couldn't imagine the daylight anymore.

Asa was somewhat pleased with himself. Not immensely but somewhat. The pillaging hadn't eaten up too much of their time and they came out with about as much as he expected to. This would be plenty for his crew to get meals off of, clothes, water, whatever they needed and whatever they wanted, they could have it all now. Well, almost. They still had a while to go, as of now. They would have to mark a new route now due to the person he was carrying now. Or he would if he couldn't get a decent deal for the girl from her father. He was sure to give them what they wanted for his daughter back. She seemed well taken care of, her attitude showed it.
Asa pushed the door open to the outside with his foot since it now swung uselessly on its hinges. He didn't hold the door open for Lewis, he could manage after all. The building were billowing smoke and some bodies laid in the street. He didn't think the daddy's girl had seen such things and it made him smirk but his back was turned to Lewis and her so they could not see. As he made his way through town, he stepped over the same man he shot earlier. His blood was dry now, more of a brown color too because it had dried. "Lewis?" Asa asked the boy without turning around.
"Uh, yes...captain?" Lewis spoke quietly, fearing he would anger the captain for whatever reason. He didn't seem to be in a very good mood when he called him to tie up the girl
"Do you remember where we put people like this to be wench on the ship?" He asked, sounding happier than he should in this sort of situation.
"Y-yes Captain." Lewis stuttered. He learned that when the captain sounds happy at the wrong moments it meant trouble.
Asa didn't respond to Lewis until they reached the docks. His beautiful life's work that was The Serpent looked even more glorious now than it had before this. His mood changed to a darker tone, "Good. Now get your [curse] on the ship and get her locked away. I will follow you to make sure you aren't lying."

{Lol, of course she would like that bod, jk, jk}
Sharon moved her hand off of his shoulder slowly, he seemed to be thrown off by it and she knew she shouldn't have even thought about touching him. Comforting or not she should know by now what is comfortable for people and what is not. Her face didn't express the regret she felt though, she kept that inside of her. When he looked into her eyes she couldn't help but stare back into them. Sharon wanted to know what he was feeling. His eyes said something she couldn't determine and it compelled her to know more. When he looked away though she did too, not wanting him to feel uncomfortable under her gaze either.
Sharon stood from her chair though and went to a table on the opposite wall for the bed. On the top was where she had left the pills for him. His name was printed on the bottle but even though she looked over at least three times she could not even think about how to pronounce it. Except his first name. It looked something similar to the name 'Eric'. Was that how you pronounced it? Oh well, she figured she would learn his name eventually. Sharon went back to the chair she was sitting in and opened the bottle of medication. She put in the cap of the bottle three of the small white pills and handed it over to her patient to take out of.
"Here are some pain killers. Let me know if you need more at any time." Sharon sat in her chair waiting for him to pass the cap back for when he finished. *edit in* When he asked his question though, she knew he had something here. "But yes, I would think you have something here." She put the bottle on the bedside table before getting up and moving over to a closet. This was where they kept the belongings of patients in this room. All that was in here was a uniform. It looked different though, did his squadron change it for some reason? But besides his uniform, Sharon did find some dog tags. His obviously. "I found our dog tags. Is this in English?" She asked, looking at it in different angles.

As they left the house Annabelle was finally able to see the true carnage that had happened. Bodies were splayed out in the streets while smoke choked the sky, most of the fires seemed to be out forever. Her heart jumped into her throat when she saw one man laying in the middle of the street, several places caked in blood, most likely from a gun. She had only met him the week before, she had bought a decorative set of swords from him for her father's birthday. She shivered and closed her eyes, now fully aware of the cold wind tugging at her. She took in a deep breath, trying to settle herself. The captain spoke then, instructing Lewis of something, but she stopped paying attention the moment he mentioned the ship. She was going to be held on the ship. She could feel her skin crawl just at the thought, it had been fifteen years since she had been on a ship, fifteen wonderful years. It wasn't long enough, she never wanted to set foot on another ship ever again. She still had nightmares about the last time she was on one. It was then that she began to doubt her actions, maybe she should've just hidden, set aside her pride and just cowered alongside the others.

Asa went behind the girl and Lewis, instructing him to walk forward. Lewis did, hesitantly at first but then he eventually picked up speed. They walked up to the ship, across the deck, and down stairs. She ship was at least three stories on the interior. The girl would be going on the very bottom, tied up or shackled depending on what Asa was in the mood for. She would be alone though, they had just finished selling their last hostage the other day. Perhaps it was good timing that they took her. This woman would be worth ten times what the there one was.
When they made it to the very bottom floor of the ship, Lewis walked through several hallways and took several turns before reaching the place where she would be held. There was but one lamp in the room, only lit when the crew remembered. That was the only source of light in the room, considering this bottom portion of the ship was under water. "Go ahead and shackle her Lewis." Asa told him with a nod of his head. He noticed how hesitant Lewis was to lock her up, he was soft. Perhaps he hasn't been toughened up out here enough. He would learn eventually though. Eventually...
"I'll wait for you Lewis on the top deck, you better be there as soon as you can." Asa didn't even add an 'or else' there was no need to. Lewis was already terrified of Asa as it is.
Lewis nodded his head quickly and watched as the captain left. In his brown eyes there was sympathy for the woman older than him. No one should live in these conditions. He led her over to where she would be be restrained by gently grabbing her wrist and guiding her over there. He bent down with her to the floor. He put the shackles on one foot and one hand, the captain told him to do it that way for reasons he could not remember. When she was locked away, he looked into her eyes and spoke very softly as if they were being listened to, "I'm sorry." He told her before getting up and leaving her with the door locked tight

[ alright! ] The rest of that night had been miserably spent, in a damp and dreary cell. The only light was a lamp by the cell door, but it's flame wasn't nearly bright enough for the entire cell. She sat in the far corner, bathed in the shadows. Every now and then when she watched she could see what she thought was shadows flickering in the hallway, but they were gone before she could discern if they were human or rat. As far as she could tell she was kept in the bottom of the ship, far from the others. She didn't hear the captain's horrible voice as he barked orders, or even the footsteps of the miserable bunch. Yet being in the bottom had one good thing: it was hardly affected by the ocean. It's movements were not nearly as horrible as being on the top of the deck, it was soothing in a way, as it was far from the nightmares she had. She stayed awake for a while, replaying all of the previous events through her head. Had this all been one horrible mistake? She was trapped by pirates on the very vessel that haunted her daily, and for what? She told herself that maybe she had saved a couple of lives, but she wasn't certain. She began to wonder about the crew as well, more particularly the captain and Lewis. The captain was cruel and uncaring, but she'd known several men like this. He didn't surprise her. Lewis however did, he was just a boy. A kind one at that, he had apologized for locking her up. He was no murderer or pillager, which led to the question of why? Why was he doing all of this ? She couldn't tell time well, but she was fairly sure she fell asleep right about when the rooster's would screech.

Jacob knew all about jokes oriented with the wealthier class of people. Even recieved his fair share, and plus some. In school he remembered getting called things like 'daddy warbucks' from that one movie Annie or 'son of Trump'. It was very agitating but his mother always told him that those kids were just jealous, and that may have been the case but Jacob never asked. It would not have been appropriate either. She came off to him as one of those kids that may have teased him in school but Jacob did not change his facial expression, he didn't want to come off as rude as he was tempted to be. He shrugged at her comment, maybe she was just raised in the way that led her to think that anyone who was somewhat wealthy was the stereotypical tea drinking, Porsche driving, snob most people took him for. "I just didn't feel like going to work today. I called in sick and mom thinks I'm at work. So right now I'm just avoiding Co workers." Jacob worked over at the Apple store even though he has a Samsung.

High Seas
Asa had taken it upon himself to visit the wench they had taken from the port city. Although he came with food because no matter how much he would love to starve her for a week to teach her a lesson, he had to keep her in good condition if he were to sell her for full price. He came bearing a tray, not one carrying a banquet of food of course. He would never give a prisoner food that equaled that of his crew members. The tray had a biscuit, glass of water and...that's about it. She would get more food throughout the day but in the morning this was as good as it was going to get. He had a pleasant smile on his face as if he was going to visit a friend when in reality, that would not be the case. He knew she hated him, and he just saw her as someone else to look after.
Asa unlocked the door with his free hand and found the girl asleep. She looked uneasy, and he thought to himself, Good. No one should get comfortable as a prisoner, especially her. Asa sat down across from her on the floor, placing the tray down inbetween the girl and himself. He realized he had yet to learn her name. Perhaps he will this morning as they chatted. It wouldn't be a talk over tea though, far from it. Although at first he would come off as somewhat gentle, he always did that: make prisoners feel somewhat safe and then send them panicking the next moment. "If you want your food I suggest you start waking up earlier miss." He told her in an even tone, loud enough to awake her.

"Feeling a little lazy?" She inquired, one brow raised. "I think you should be honest- not with your boss of course. But it's not really your mom's business whether or not you go. It's your job." Fi realized that it wasn't really her place to give advice, hoping he didn't mind.
Contrary to his previous experiences, she'd never truly bully anyone. Light teasing was all she'd manage when outside of her 'work place'. Yeah, she was kind of moral that way. Funny how life turned out. As it hit the heat of the day, she shrugged off her hoodie. "So, you're playing hooking, what are you amazing plans?"

The One Thing I Didn't Prepare For
Katelyn wasn't lost per say, more like confused as to what location is. Yeah, that's it. Just confused, not lost at all. Ugh, forget it, Katelyn was lost. Why else would she be taking pictures of the streets she’s went down so she knew where to trace her steps back. It was so exhausting. Her phone was only at 20% too. Even though at home she would have no problem with it and just go about her day it until she hit about 2%. However, in a situation like this, she would prefer to be at least 90% battery. It didn't help that she was out of mobile data too. Stupid AT&T giving her so little data. Maybe that was because she tried not too spend too much money on her phone and used it instead on traveling. Traveling was one thing Katelyn could never get bored of. All of the sights, sounds, smells, new experiences, who would get bored of that? She would assume anyone who thought so was insane, or needed to get out more.
This time she was in Seoul, South Korea, or at least she thought she was. This city was so big it was hard to tell where it started and where it ended. If she was still in Seoul, then she would be in the outskirts for sure. Nothing looked familiar and it didn't help that all the signs were in Korean. It didn't matter how many places Katelyn went to, she would never pick up on a language. Especially these Far Eastern languages.
She came up to another street sign, again in Korean and took another picture. She wasn't sure she would have enough battery to trace her steps back. Maybe she could look for a local to give her directions. But so far, she hadn't met any that spoke English well enough for her to understand or at all.
