Arabella was sitting up on her elbows looking at the horse with malace. She never liked that horse, and it didn't seem to like her either. Arabella was just about to get up and take the horse back in control before she saw someone rush out of the woods to it, and then another rush out in front of her. She hardly had time to get up and fight the man who could be taking the horse let alone the man in front of her. She glared up at him and then took her weight and threw it over her head. This lead her to doing a backwards roll and then getting back in the comfortable position of standing up. These men were most likely forest thieves looking to make a quick buck. There was only two of them, she could handle that couldn't she? Arabella didn't reach for her sword, knowing that since this man was armed, if she drew her sword he could already have impaled her. "Get out of here. Leave and no one gets hurt." That was an empty promise. Arabella knew she would have to fight one of them at least to make a point that she wasn't weak. Female Knights were not only unheard of, but a female in a position of authority was not taken seriously.

Jube was quite surprised. Why was a woman doing that sort of acrobatics? And out in the woods by herself... It made zero sense to him. When she spoke, he couldn't help but grin and laugh at that sheer absurdity. "Hurt?" He asked, "I think you're the only one in danger of being hurt here, lady." He raised his stolen sword and pointed it at her, still smiling obnoxiously, "you're both outnumbered and a woman." He glanced back at Merrywether, "Merry, get over here!" He called, indicating Arabella with a tilt of his head.

He seemed confused at what she did to make space between the thief amd herself. The only reason she rolled was because of the space she needed. Arabella put a hand on her sword's hilt, gripping it tightly as he spoke. This man seemed to know a couple mind tricks, trying to belittle her won't work though. Arabella has heard plenty of comments about her being a woman and weak, a disgrace to the Knights. She was anything but. Arabella remembered training late into the night and early in the morning trying to get better than what people assumed she was. It paid off obviously because she is a knight now, but that was her number one pet peeve: remarks about her being a female knight. "I bet I could fight better than you." She told him, glaring. Arabella had to draw the line now, show what she was capable of. She drew her rapier, yes the fencing swords, and held it in a position ready to fight for possibly her life. She looked over at the other man that the thief called to. This one seemed just like the other one, but only looked slightly different. However, he carried the same air about him, one of a brute.

Vampire: We will start at right before the knight gets captured if that is okay with you Gaster: Yes, that's fine. Muse A is the crime boss but I'm not too worried about activity so don't stress I'd still like the plot please. How should we start?

Mind tricks? Oh no no no, Jube was dumb as anything. He was just insulting her for the heck of it. He turned away from Merry, looking at Arabella, still with a smile on his face, though it was a little more fixed now. "I really doubt that." He said, raising his own sword and wiggling it at her, "I've been fighting since before I could talk." Merry drew his own sword, a slightly less fancy one taken from the same knights that had been guarding the king's brother, and advanced towards her.
"Hold on, Merry." Jube said, waving his free hand in the other man's direction, "leave this to me."
Merry backed away slightly, but didn't put away his sword, "just say the word, Jube." He promised.

Arabella was just about to charge at the man he called, "Mery." She figured it was short for Merriweather though and didn't question it. This was not exactly the right time to introduce themselves and drink tea. She let her guard down for a moment when the thief told Mery to stop. She was unsure what was up his sleeve, but steeled herself right when the thief told him that he had this fight. "Go on then, fight me." She told him, sounding braver than she felt. At the moment she told herself how arrogant she was being. No one should underestimate their opponent's power. People were unpredictable even when you knew them. You never really know anyone until they are in a life of death situation.
{Sorry kind of short :/}

"I guess I will." Jube's crap-eating grin never dropped, and he struck like a snake, flicking his sword sideways at her. It wasn't meant to be a fatal or even harmful blow. He was completely confident that he could beat this girl handily. So he'd have a little fun as he did it. And he was having fun. He enjoyed fighting. It was one thing he was actually good at.
OOC: It's fine. I couldn't make this one too long either. XD

In the Lime Light:
Broadway was a place Alden always loved. The acting, singing, the shining lights. He loved it all. He liked to watch people sing, hear the lines they have been training to memorize for months. Even if he could not speak. It did not make him jealous of the fact that they can do these things that required speech, he didn't actually think much of it. Because to Alden, it was normal for him to not be able to talk. He had to live with it since birth. Growing up was hard emotionally though, there was at least one kid in each school that had something to say about his speech problems. Not that Alden was too concerned. He found his lack of speech as a driving force. One to better him and show that he can do anything he wanted to. Alden was headed to Broadway tonight. There was a new show starring his favorite actress: Sadie Brennan. He always pictured her being as nice offstage as she was onstage. It would crush him if it was different than what he thought in his mind and Alden knew it, but that didn't stop him from imagining. Upon arriving, Alden fixed a stray brown hair in one of the bathroom mirrors. He made sure his hair looked as best as it could tonight: gelled and moussed flat, with it parted to the left. He always did his hair a bit nicer for Sadie's performances even though he knew it would be impossible for her to notice him. Alden left the bathroom and made his way over to the seat his ticket instructed him to be in. He payed good money for this front row seat.

I Can Help:
Another, 'smile for the camera', another, 'dress nice, you don't want to disappoint your father'. It was routine. A routine Catherine was sick of. She felt like luggage that her father did not want to carry around, and quite frankly, Catherine would not be the luggage if her father did what he was supposed to and followed the law. He always acted as if he was above it, and technically he was since he had money. The activities he did were worthy of getting the federal investigators to well...investigate. But it was the money her father has that kept them from doing so. They weren't afraid of doing the right thing and turning him in, no, they wanted spending money. Probably to help more criminals by buying illegal booze from their even more illegal speakeasies. However, Catherine wasn't worried about speakeasies. In fact, she went to at least one speakeasy a week. She was more worried about the man she called her father above anything. He operated at least two mafias that she was aware of and has done more illegal activities than he has legal. Today was where she draws the line. She caught him talking to one of his gang members about a possible way to kill off the other competitors. All her father was concerned with was power. It sickened her, it made her want to vomit up the booze she was headed over to a new speakeasy to drink. All she wanted right now was something to get her mind off of her father. Anything to help her forget about her life even if it was momentarily. Catherine sighed as she went through the fake store front that housed a speakeasy through one of the back doors. She heard recommendations for this one a while back but has never decided to try it until now. Catherine gave the owner of the store the verbal code and he showed her the door to the secret bar. She has done stuff like this often enough to where it looked as if her and the store owner had a normal conversation.

It was a good thing she jumped back in time for it on just cut her versus stab. This man was quick. Perhaps he was not bluffing when he said he had been practicing the art of self defense since he could walk. No matter how absurd it may be. But Arabella can still fight back, it was far from over. She struck out with her sword in a stabbing motion left to throw him off and hopefully send him going to the right which was where she struck next. The movement caused her skin and clothing to rub against each other over the cut, it stung, but she had to push through. There were only two bandits, she could handle that. And soon she would he on her way, on that horse that never liked her to find the king's brother and deliver him. "You are quick I'll give you that." Arabella commented after her move. She directed her comment to the wound she had recieved in her side, hopefully the blood had not gotten to her clothing yet. She didn't want him to see that she was bleeding as bad as he may have thought she was.

Sadie had loved Broadway since she was little. She loved being onstage, loved singing and dancing and acting. She loved telling stories this way and losing herself in the role she was playing. She loved her fans, too, and the way that they supported her, cheered her on. It was incredibly gratifying. What she hated, however, was getting ready. She hated all the makeup and the powders and sprays, hated how the stylists inevitably pulled her hair as they combed it smooth. She was gorgeous already; she didn't need makeup to look good. But she didn't have much of a choice, and it wasn't like it mattered, anyway; she'd sit in her room after all of this was over and listen to her sister's running commentary on the whole thing. It was time that she enjoyed spending with her twin, and she loved that. "Enough!" Irritably, Sadie swatted a makeup artist's hand away. "Nobody cares if I look a bit shiny under the lights, it adds character. Now, where's my escort?" "Right behind you," Skylar's amused voice came from behind. She and Sadie looked a lot alike, except Skylar had gotten their mother's freckles and ginger hair, and she was more delicate looking, thinner than Sadie and less muscular. "Let's go, then," Sadie said, standing up and checking herself in the mirror. Together, the twins made their way over to the curtain, where they paused. "Break a leg," Skylar teased, grinning, while Sadie snorted. It was showtime.
Is there any roleplay that I don't include Skylar in?? Lol anyway I'm thinking we should skip to after the play bc I don't know anything about them xD))

Jube dodged out of the way of her feint, clanging his sword against hers, but was caught unprepared by her second strike. It stuck him below his ribcage, and he grimaced, his confident smile dropping at last. Maybe he shouldn't take this so lightly...he couldn't believe he'd fallen for something as simple as a feint though. "I suppose you're not hopeless either." He relented. As much as he ever did so. "How long have you been studying?" That was his own method for pushing through the pain of wounds: casual conversation with his to-be victims. It kept him engaged, and sometimes it was nice getting to know the person you were going to kill, just saying.

As per usual, Tiley as behind the bar, mixing up a proverbial storm. Despite his (always) illicit activities outside this bar, he was a mean bartender and his gang members and patrons alike love it when he took the stage. He apparently made the best martinis this side of the city. He looked up at Catherine as she entered and felt his eyebrows raise. While he despised everything her father stood for, he was still a moral man and did not harm innocent civilians, and that even meant the Major's daughter. The daughter of the most dangerous and influential person in the city. He tossed the dishcloth over his shoulder and slid the drink that he had been making over to someone at the end of the bar, who tilted his hat in thanks.
Riley moved to the others ids of the bar, wiping away the alcohol that had spilt over the bar. His eyes followed the newcomer like a hawk hunting a mouse.

{Yeah we can skip *throws sparkles* Time skip!} In the Lime Light:
Alden sat and watched the play as intently as if it was his last. Sadie was amazing as always, he noticed her makeup was different though, maybe they put less than usual? But Alden shook his head, realizing he was giving it too much thought. If Alden was able to pick up on something like that, you know he has really been paying attention. He usually wasn't one to do so. Mainly because if he grew bored of something within five minutes you can forget trying to make him listen. However, Sadie Brennan was a different story. The way she acted was nearly flawless, no wonder he always went to her plays. As soon as the actors got onto the stage and bowed, Alden stood up and clapped his heart out. Even if the storyline to this play was not his favorite, the actors seemed to become their characters and that was what Alden really came to see tonight. The way people morphed into other people was stunning. To top it all off, he was getting to meet Sadie Brennan backstage. He always dreamed of the day he could get her autograph, it definitely got him bragging rights. Plus, this is Sadie Brennan, who wouldn't want an autographed photo of her? Alden did not hesitate for a moment when the intercom announced that Backstage meetings with the Stars were open as of now. He had his pass on a lanyard in the back pocket of his kaki pants that read on one side 'Broadway Official Backstage Pass'. Alden felt special looking at those words as he handed over the pass to a stiff looking security guard. He couldn't help but notice the guards crooked moustache and bored expression, but Alden didn't do anything but smile and nod his head in a 'thank you' sort of fashion before immediately moving through the door marked 'Backstage'. It didn't take him long to find Sadie though, he knew what she looked like so well he could recognize the actress anywhere. He made sure he was the first in line to get her autograph though, and brought a little notepad inside of his kaki colored suit jacket and a pen in his breast pocket to allow for communication.
