Peachdapple gave nods to each of the medicine cats, beginning the descent into Mothermouth. As always, the Moonstone was bright and inviting.
(Is Peachdapple seeing anything?)

Peachdapple pressed her nose to the Moonstone, eyes opening in the starry fields of Starclan. She looked around. It must be another normal visit.

Whitescar appeared near Peachdapple, giving her a simple nod.
Slatesight awoke in what seemed similar to ThunderClan territory, yet it was unfamiliar to him.

"It's good to see you again, dear. I assume you're doing well?" She asked.

The air infront of Slatesight shimmered and soon a regal looking golden tom appeared infront of him. "Hello." He greeted Slatesight. "I'm Goldeye, father of Lightningstar and the grandfather to your kits." He said, green eyes warm for the moment.

Whitescar nodded. Though he had died, his scars still remained on his pelt. "I have. It's quite peaceful here."
Slatesight gazed at the approaching cat, someone he had never seen before. "I'm honored to meet you," he spoke, hearing that he was Lightningstar's father.

Goldeye just gave a small nod. "I'm glad to meet you too though I don't come just to warn you to be good to my granddaughter." He said with a twinkle of humor in his eye. He grew more serious as he spoke. "Your secret will only stay hidden forever, changes are coming and secrets will be brought to the light."

Slatesight felt his paws turn to ice as Goldeye spoke. What was he talking about? He knew that StarClan knew what he did, but every time he came to the Moonstone things grew more ominous. "What's coming?" he asked after a moment of silence.

"It won't." Peachdapple shrugged, glad she could finally speak without having to hide her inner thoughts from clanmates.
"It never really does. But I'll do my best until I finally join you up here...something's wrong with Lightningstar, and I fear he'll never let me help." She sighed.

Suddenly the world around them grew dark as night and no stars shines above. Lightning flashes and thunder cracked in the distance. Goldeye' avoided grew deep and serious.
"Darkness will run blood and truth
When sun fades to night
Shadows will hide secrets
When lightning ceases to crack"
When he finished speaking lightning cracked over head loudly. Just once before the world fell into a ghostly silence. The only light from Goldeye's glowing green eyes.

Whitescar sighed. "I suppose that's true... with every new season comes new quarrels." He gazed at the medicine cat, knowing that something was going on elsewhere. "Something is indeed wrong with him," he said. "I cannot warn you of what comes ahead..."

Slatesight's fur spiked in alarm as his vision went dark, Goldeye's gaze piercing into him. A prophecy! Slatesight thought, eyes widening. He had never received a prophecy before - they mostly went to Peachdapple. He quickly went over what he heard in his mind as he started to snap out of the moment. He had nothing to say.

"It seemed Starclan never does when I need them to" Peachdapple shook her head. She looked at Whitescar and sighed in defeated indifference.
"And with my apprentice's secret, his betrayl...it's like everything I forced myself to do meant nothing. I love him like a son, and my clan too but..." She cut off, eyes narrowing.

Goldeye's voice echoed as the vision disappeared. "No secret lasts forever.." the world fades to black, the starclan tom disappearing.

Slatesight flattened his ears. With a blink, he was awake, back at the Moonstone. He looked around, shuffling his paws as everyone else was still asleep. He repeated the prophecy in his mind.
Whitescar listened. "I know, it seems tough... but things will get better. They always do." he said. He held no indication that he knew what was coming for ThunderClan.

Peachdapple gave a light nod at that, before she blinked and purred at the sight of Quailsong bounding over, eyes wide and bright. He skidded to a halt next to Whitescar, purring.
"Hey! I spotted you both from afar."

Quailsong looked between them before he smiled brightly.
"I'm a grandfather now! Frostkit is so lovely!" He bounced a bit, also knowing Diamondheart would be a father soon, too.
Peachdapple gave a smile at that.
