Shadedpine looked up and smiled, sitting up on her haunches before chuckling. "That was fun, those rogues didn't see us coming. One had the audacity to call me pathetic I showed him a thing or two." After a few more moments she just shrugged idly. "My side and ear are the worst really, Peachdapple put some cobwebs on the slow the blood loss while we came back to camp. I'll be fine."

Eaglesight shook his head. "I still wish I could've gone with you. Imagine how great a team we would be? Fighting side-by-side? You should still get those wounds treated, you shouldn't risk an infection." he suddenly paused and blinked at her. "Wait, what do you mean rogues? Weren't you guys fighting ThunderClan?"

"So, when we got to Thunderclan it was overrun by rogues that have been terrorizing Thunderclan it seems. There were a lot of them an it took everyone we had to drive the away. They only retreated after Ligtningstar killed their leader, though he lost a life in the process as well."

Eaglesight blinked in surprise. "Wow. I guess it was those rogues that ThunderClan talked about at the gathering." He glanced over at their leader, scanning Cedarstar's wounds. "Cedarstar's okay though, right? He didn't lose a life?"

"Shadedpine!" Eaglesight ran over to the she-cat, his eyes wide at the sight of her bandaged injuries. "Are you alright?" Cedarstar smiled softly at Goldberry's explanation. "Well done, Tumblepaw." The young apprentice blinked in surprise at the leader's gaze. "That's quite the feet for a cat as young as you." Cedarstar flicked his tail contently, looking around the camp. "We do have reason to celebrate, our patrol was successful. Lightningstar is back at his rightful place as ThunderClan's leader." He glanced back at Oakstalk, Shortcloud, Shadedpine, Lionscorch, and Stormfury. "Make sure the five of you get treated by Snowdance and Opalmist." “You got it.” Lionscorch dipped his head, the large scar across his back and shoulders stinging, but he found pride in his new battle scar. He moved towards the medicine den. Goldberry looked at Cedarstar, wanting to request the final assesmeny for Tumblepaw after the clan was treated and celebrated their victory.

Shadedpine quickly shook her head. "No, Cedarstar did really well. I saw hi go into the nursery during the bettle and the a rogue ran out, he protected the kits. It was fantastic."

Cedarstar was going to bound up on Clanrock, but seeing Goldberry's look, he paused. "Can I help you Goldberry?" “Cedarstar, I wanted to request that Tumblepaw be made a warrior. Perhaps an assesment, or something? He has shown countless times that he has Shadowclan in his heart, and dedication in his soul. I...I know the clan still has qualms with me, but I have loved training Tumblepaw. He deserves to become a warrior.” Goldberry nodded.

Eaglesight smiled in light relief. "That sounds like Cedarstar." He shook his head again, a smile on his face. "Gah, I really wish I had been there."
Cedarstar was quiet, listening to Goldberry. He glanced back at Tumblepaw, the apprentice flushing when cats gushed over his catch. "I'd say a catch like that deserves quite a bit of honor." Cedarstar flicked his ear, Tumblepaw did deserve to be made a warrior after taking down a vulture, but I've never done a warrior ceremony before. The leader flicked his ear in betrayal of his nervousness. He messed up his own daughter's apprentice ceremony. A warrior ceremony was much more important and he didn't want to ruin it for any young cat. "You've done well training him, Goldberry."

Above all, Cedarstar, I will never stop striving to prove myself. And to somehow make up for what I’ve done. Thank you, for keeping Tumblepaw here. He...We were scared, that we would be back where we started, but I want you to know that we are loyal to you, and that we want to be the best we can be for you and the clan.” Goldberry admitted quietly.

Cedarstar blinked in surprise at Goldberry's confession. He had to admit, with everything that had happened since before Northstar's death, the thought of Goldberry and Tumblepaw never crossed his mind. Sure, he was as furious as anyone else when what Goldberry had done was revealed, but Northstar had forgiven him for it...twice. "I've seen how hard you've been working Goldberry. As far as I'm concerned, the only thing you screwed up on your own will was what you did with Roseleaf, but then I wouldn't have had Cardinalblaze and his siblings. I may have been against Northstar welcoming Tumblepaw into the Clan at first." He glanced back at the apprentice and the vulture beside him. "But as long as you two keep working as hard as you have been. I don't see how the Clan can deny either of your loyalties."

Ashrock watched the warrior's return to the camp, his long pelt bristling in anger. There was a battle. HE should've been there! The gray warrior shot a light glare at his brother, lashing his tail in annoyance. I'm one of the best fighters in the Clan and he keeps me in the medicine den?!

I am proud of them, but I will always hope they see Falcontalon as their father before me. Ah...Thank you, Cedarstar. I only hope any kits I have don’t feel lesser for what I’ve done.” He blinked once, before looking heavily towards Honeypaw. “I never raised kits before these three...But I fear I can’t figure out Honeypaw like I should be able to. I apologize, if he’s ever shown you disrespect. I’m hoping he’ll open up soon, tell me what’s cutting at him.” He mewed quickly, wanting to say that before Cedarstar moved off.

"Goldberry, I doubt any tom is the perfect father on the first go." Cedarstar flicked his ear, he followed Goldberry's gaze to Honeypaw, but could only think of his kits. How much time he didn't spend with them. "I'm afraid Honeypaw and I don't speak as often as we should." He flicked his ear again, realizing that there were many cats in the Clan he didn't get around to spending time with. Northstar had always made sure to spend time with everyone. May...if things calm down, I can work with the apprentices? With Cloudscar helping with patrols and other things around camp, maybe Cedarstar could take time to spend with the Clan. Working with the apprentices would even give himself the chance to spend more time with his kits. "He hasn't shown me too much disrespect." The only time he could think of was when Honeypaw called out when Cedarstar tried to give Whorlpaw to Oakstalk. Cedarstar stood up. He didn't want to cut his conversation with the tom short, it was clear Goldberry felt strong about this, but the curious gazes of their clanmates kept flicking over to him, some where even pestering the patrol to find out what happened when Cedarstar just kept sitting there talking to Goldberry. "If you'll excuse me, Goldberry, I need to inform the Clan of what happened."

Stormfury held back from the medicine cat's den. He would let the others get treated first. Whorlpaw pounded over to her mentor, her eyes widened with shock. "Wow! Is that blood? Did you have to fight ThunderClan? Does that hurt? What was it like? Were you glad to see WindClan again? Did anyone die? Did you kill anyone?!"

Cedarstar jumped up on Clanrock, wincing and grunting lightly from the pain in his side. He shifted to face the clan, not sitting down since he knew he wouldn't be up here that long. "Let all cats old enough to stalk their own prey gather beneath Clanrock!"

Cedarstar took a deep breath, watching the Clan eagerly gather. "Our journey to ThunderClan was victorious!" He even swelled with pride at his words. "Upon reaching their camp, ThunderClan was under attack from a rogue group. If not for us and Swiftstar's WindClan patrol, I believe ThunderClan would've been chased from their camp! Lightningstar slayed the rogue leader, but lost a life himself. After the rogues fled, Shadeclaw admitted that he was not chosen by StarClan to lead ThunderClan! Lightningstar retook his Clan and is now in our debt." He looked to the warriors that he took with him. "The warriors that fought beside me, showed great courage and skill in the fight! Thank you to every one of you who volunteered!"

Kinkfire smirked over at the patrol. Hoping they really taught those rogues what ShadowClan warriors were really like. Hopefully ThunderClan and WindClan saw how strong five warriors of ShadowClan could be too. She twitched her whiskers in amusement.
Cliffheart breathed in easy relief that the Dark Forest was chased from ThunderClan. He leaned against his mate.
Closesky watched from the elder's den, green gaze studying his son. Yes, Cedarstar had nicks and scratches, but that gash on his side was his worst wound compared to some of the wounds of the other members of the patrol. He fought well. The elder nodded curtly, approving of his son's skills.
Ashrock flattened his ears, unable to cheer for the victory with bitterness souring his heart. He should've been out there. Cedarstar wouldn't have received that gash on his side if he had. If I ever get my claws on the rogue that did that to him. Ashrock lashed his tail, but pointedly looked away from his brother. Cedarstar's a fool for leaving me behind!

Coalpaw moved to pull to his paws, excitement and awe in his eyes. He felt a little sore still, but the wounds were clearly healing. He exclaimed. “I wanna congratulate them!”
Lilypaw stretched, proud of her clan but currently focusing on her training. She had practiced her moves intensely, wanting Ratmask to spend some time with his kits without having to worry about her falling behind. She flicked her nubbed tail and shifted her paws.

Ashrock glanced back at his apprentice, ears falling back. "Coalpaw, what are you doing? You should be resting!"
Houndthroat flicked his ear at the announcement, a bit disappointed that he didn't get to go. He was sitting a bit away from the Clan crowd, tail tapping when he turned his gaze to the ground.

"They'll all be in here to get check over by Snowdance and Opalmist." Ashrock got up and moved back to Coalpaw, blocking the young apprentice's way. "You'll get your chance then. Go lay down."
Houndthroat flattened his ears and only side-glanced at Lilypaw. "I volunteered to go, yet Cedarstar takes all the older warriors." he snorted and looked at their leader with narrow eyes. "Guess he doesn't want us newer warriors to embarrass him in the fight. He even took that rabbit-chaser, Stormfury! Every cat he took, he took to shove in the other leaders' faces."

"I see while we were gone, we missed some excitement here in camp." Cedarstar twitched his whiskers and look down at the vulture covering the fresh-kill pile. "Cloudscar and Goldberry have informed me that Tumblepaw took down that vulture. Even in the thick of leaf-bare with that vulture, no one will go hungry tonight!" Cedarstar swallowed down his nerves, forcing himself to stand taller when he looked to the young apprentice. "Tumblepaw, please step forward!"
Tumblepaw blinked in surprise at the Clan leader's call. He glanced nervously at Goldberry and Burningpaw before slowly rising to his paws to approach the leader.

Lilypaw gave a soft scoff, her eyes rolling as she mewed out. “And I bet if you had gone, you’d have thrown yourself right into the enemy’s claws. Cedarstar chose them because they’re intimidating and experienced. At least you could volunteer. You think I could ever be on a patrol like that?” The small she-cat reminded.

Goldberry brightened in realization, and Burningpaw looked both surprised and confused, before a bright grin filled her face. She felt a small flick of envy, but more so support for her best friend. Was he becoming a warrior?
