nurnberg.com.tw/index1-2.php?bookno=10-956Above the plains of Bravelands, the birds can taste change on the air…
Fearless, a lion cub, is thrust into a new life when a challenger kills his father and takes control of the pride. Forced to flee, Fearless is snatched up by an eagle and discovered in its nest by a troop of baboons. They name him Cub of the Stars: some see his arrival as a good omen, whereas others believe it shows the world will be turned on its head.
Thorn, a young baboon eager to move up the troop’s hierarch, is hungry for adventure, but he also needs to reach a higher status so his beloved Berry can be his mate. Thorn isn’t the only baboon with ambition, however. The troop is horrified when their leader is murdered, and Thorn thinks he knows who did it…
Sky, a young elephant migrating towards Bravelands with her herd, only she understands the dangers facing all the animals. She has a horrifying vision of the watering hole her herd is heading towards, the water red with blood, and beside it a lion roaring in pain as a baboon howls triumphantly on its back…
A lion, a baboon and an elephant - as the omens converge, a great change comes to Bravelands, and life for the animals who live there will never be the same…

Ooh, that's pretty. Is it the same artist that did the new Warriors covers?

Why does Fearless get the cover? Lion privilege, that's why.

I like it. And wow, it really is going to be like The Lion King—at least for Fearless' plot anyway. XD
Kinda disappointing they wasted the opportunity to not use African names, but oh well. And at least they use the name pride, so the other blurb for the overall plot may have been an error, then.

Is this another new animal series? Yes. Erin Hunter is the author, but we do not know if it's a new team under the same name or not.

Sounds interesting. I'll just wait until other people have read it and given reviews before I decide to buy it. I want to have high hopes for this though. I love African animals, especially lions and elephants. My only concern is the Erins not doing their research and screwing something up.

I just hope that if there are humans in this series that they don't use stupid describing words. This is one of my major annoyances with the Erin Hunter series, especially Seekers and Survivors. I get that animals aren't going to understand human things or things they have never seen before, but so many times I can never figure out what the animals are talking about because the objects are so strangly described.

I will definitely give it a try, though I agree they totally should have named their characters African names. I heard about it via Vicky's twitter. And there's a page for it on the official Warriors site as well.
I noticed too that the cover is very similar to that of Warriors. But think of it in a marketing point of view...so many kids and people recognize Warriors, that when they see this cover they might be like "wait...is that the same author of Warriors?" or "Ugh, Erin Hunter is making ANOTHER series??" either response is highly likely, which would give it more attention. Which is probably why they chose the lion as the main cover character for the first book.

Maybe! I think that WOF is almost over, so she may. I doubt. Even if the main series finishes, it'd be a waste to only have one Legends book, since there's a lot of potential for other ones as well. A few more Winglets would be cool too. I don't think WOF is gonna finish any time soon. We'll just have to wait and see, I guess.

I never knew what the hell a loudcage was until my friend told me. Flat-faces, and Twolegs are okay names for humans I guess. I just really prefer they use the actual names because I cannot picture everything the way they describe things. Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.
