STOP IT WITH YOUR NEGATIVITY (gives 1 bonk on the head with frying pan per each syllable) STOP BEING SO OPTIMISTIC, THEN!

OOC: I doubt it'll be a film like that. I mean, come on, don't judge before you even see it. For all we know it could be something awesome like the live action Jungle book. I mean it might be horrible, but it might not, no need to jump to conclusions right away.

OPTIMISM IS THE BEST STRATEGY WHEN YOU CAN'T CHANGE ANYTHING. PESSIMISM IS ONLY USEFUL IF IT ALLOWS FOR CONTINGENCY PLANS.

I'm actually fairly optimistic. Steven Spielberg is apparently going to be one of the directors, and they referred to this being a movie franchise. That leads me to believe they're planning more than just one movie, and that makes me hopeful. They could easily make three movies to fit all six books of the OS. Two books in each movie. I feel if they did it that way, a lot of cuts won't have to be made •♕• where did you find the info abt steven spielburg and the franchise? •♔•

I wonder if they are going to give them English accents since its set in England, but I don't think they will.

Personally, I think a TV series would be the best format to avoid cuts, but I'll take it.

this is the best possible thing that could happen to the series, and for us right now. harperscollins got rid of the wcf because they couldn't afford it, right? well, a movie might well bring back some old forum members and give this site the second wind it so desperately needs right now, and maybe if there's a new movie series coming out about it then we'll get new fans and then the new books won't be so terrible.
personally, I think it all depends on the age of the turnout.
if there's going to be six movies then the first one might be dumbed down a little, yes, but the first two books of OS aren't that gory and not too much will be cut out, hopefully. What we'd really have to worry about are the second two, where the dogs and scourge come in. what is done with these will really depend on the audience of the first movie, and who goes out to see it. if it's mostly little kids, than yeah, i don't have high hopes. but if older kids show up in the demographics, then maybe they'll get darker.
it's kind of like the hunger games, or harry potter, i guess. they get darker as they go. (plus, the hunger games weren't particularly gory, especially when you consider the subject matter, and those movies were actually pretty good, and plenty of 9 year olds have seen it.)

Meh. I never wanted a Warriors movie, but I don't care enough about Warriors anymore to get upset.
We'll see how it goes
