He realized his fur was bristling, and tried to settle it down. Of course, someone like Oniyuri wouldn't understand. She would need to learn to have respect for those above her, and soon.

Oniyuri leaned back from Junichi's sour reaction. This is a cat who already has too much faith. she realized. She knew she would have to tread carefully with her words here. So she shook her head and replied with a curt "Very well", trying to force her fur not to stand. The she-cat then stared at Junichi expectantly once more, wondering how he would react. She also wondered what her first duties would be as a new clan cat.

( Hello, guys. Please forgive me for my absence. I haven't been feeling my best, and I'm honestly begin quite lazy at this point. I know you all are eventually going to grow tired of it and then leave out of boredom since I'm a terrible roleplay leader, but I honestly want to take the time to apologize for neglecting this Clan as I have been doing.
So, instead of waiting for everyone to come back, I need your input on this Clan, honest-to-God input. What do you think I should do to make it more interesting, less bland? Is there something in the plot that needs to be taken out/changed? Do we need a chat/discussion page? Simple things that I want to know in order to improve SakuraClan.
This roleplay is not dead, but I think my negligence is the main reason why it seems...barren. So, I'll tag everyone. If you really want to keep this alive and thriving, please let me know, and I'll find a way to continue. ^^" )

(I definitely would like to see this roleplay thriving. I like the plot, but I think it may need to move on to the next phase to keep things from getting stagnant. Activity is also an issue; but other than that I think this roleplay has potential and I would love to keep this thread alive.)

(A discussion page may be good too. Maybe we could talk about the main plot, create little sub plots, and have activity checks all on that page. I wonder if it would be too much though.)

Mᴏᴏɴ - - [ Ever since I joined this Clan on the old forums, I spotted creativity and potential. To this day, I still observe it as such and would hate to see it go. As such, I do think we should push on with this role-play and keep it alive. At the moment, I have low muse, so I don't have any suggestions as to how, but I would recommend possible sub-plots or, perhaps, a prophecy? ]

(Subplots are good and all, but I really think the main issue is activity. I completely 100% understand the reasons for low activity, but it's still what makes things...fall flat.
I think Acromatic is right about moving to the next phase. Granted there's a lot of reactions that have to take place but eventually we have to do some sort of time skip to move on the plot. Otherwise, what's left to react to?
Anyway that's my 2 cents. I mean all of this with the best of intentions.)

( You all make good points. So, what I've been thinking about is this.
If we continue the plot as it is now, it'll just be the same thing over and over. There will be no continuation, just the same old "enemy clan does absolutely nothing and plays the nice guy card with SakuraClan and everybody's just hiding their anger" thing. Not exactly the best plot for an RP.
I've also just realized that having the Oda just lazing about in SakuraClan like they own it was a pretty bad decision in itself, because there are a lot of battles I've wanted to roleplay out as well that involve them.
Sooo, what I want to do is an expedition plot. A select few cats from SC decide to go on a journey to (at least) 2 of the other clans to find out information from them, as well as assist them in any endeavors that they may have. This will give everyone a chance to learn about the other Clans as well as to actively roleplay their characters in a much less tedious plot.
Alternatively, plot twists are a good thing to have: Akiko getting very sick from her stress, one day the Oda are gone and SC finds out that they attacked another clan, a cat from SC siding with the enemy or vice versa, a prophecy foretelling the great battle of the future, etc. These are simple ideas I've thought of, and things I might put into play. But the expedition one is a go!
I think I need to reply to a few of you now, so I'll get on with that. ^^' )

(I like the expedition idea, and I think the idea of one of the SC cats siding with the Oda would be pretty interesting too; maybe even having a small group of cats betraying the clan or something like that.)

( Since no one has really active in this roleplay anymore and the plot has stopped at this point, I'm thinking about remaking it again. I would love to continue this roleplay, but I will not force you to if you really don't feel like it. So, just let me know if you want to either shut down the roleplay, continue here, or just restart all over again.

Hey! Honestly, if you remake it, it has to be non-intimidating, as we're on the low side of members of the site and would need a really great ploy to bring them in. I think if we had to restart, we would have to restart the plot as well, in order to make it more approachable. This is a really good roleplay idea, like one of the best on the site, and I think we can revive it if we make it a bit simpler.

Yeah, I 100% agree!! I'm re-reading the information on the front page, and I'm realizing that it seems... pretentious, in a way. I'm expecting too much from everyone, and explaining things with way too much detail; overdoing it all makes for a roleplay that people probably won't like joining because of how overwhelming it is.
So, yes, I will focus on simplifying the instructions and other aspects of the RP! <3

(I would definitely rejoin the rp, regardless if it were remade or changed, or even if it were just a small group. But I agree, it probably would be best to rekindle people's interest and change it so that it's not so intimidating)
