I think Leafpool is fine as a mentor, but she made some pretty terrible choices when she lied and took Crowfeather as a mate, though.

Plenty of cats have died since she became medicine cat. I get cats will die, you can't save them all, but she has a good record going on. |

Erins killing great background characters makes Leafpool look bad. And then they try to cover it up by having a suddenly new illness with Puddleshine, hmm.. |

I'll give them credit for at least using their urge to motivate a plot this time, but the previous times are just bullcrap. It's poor writing and in universe, makes both Leafpool and Jayfeather questionable medicine cats. |

I was going to to say that Leafpool was successful in keeping everyone alive during two greencough epidemics where half of Thunderclan got sick. She was even succsessful after Windclan destroyed the catmint supply. But then I am reminded that pot is not canon anymore. I guess leafpool got amnesia too. Because nothing is canon anymore. Therefore we can go and make our headcanons canon and make new, better Warriors! Well... except for AshXWhite... |
