I didn't really forget to bump it but I don't like bumping when it's too close to the top because that's kind of hogging the spotlight
but I try to bump it after a week to make sure it doesn't turn into necroposting

thank you! I'm not really sure if I have anything more to add onto the story, but maybe once AVOS is finished I'll do an au AVOS that takes place after this instead…not sure, since I haven't been reading AVOS and don't plan to, but we'll see

I do have a basic idea for a difference, but I definitely want to wait until the last book comes out so I can plan for any major events. Sort of like how I kept in things like the Long Shadows fire and the tree that falls in Fading Echoes.
I think ATA actually ends earlier than OOTS, but making the characters age more like the first series makes the timeline even more awkward for a story set in OOTS…I might have to just ignore that part.
And of course Bramblestar being dead means no Alder/Spark, although I probably would set it in ThunderClan (or maybe ShadowClan since they're plot-relevant now).

true enough! I just mean that since in ATA I tried to keep it as close as possible to the real story, with changes only as a direct result of the difference in the prologue (well, besides backstory things like Rock foreseeing and hating the Clans), I probably wouldn't want to set it in RiverClan…although then again, I do like RiverClan, so who knows? edit: also, with only aesthetic rewording of prophecies, I would still have (AVOS/HJ prophecies in spoiler) "Embrace what you find in the shadows, for only they can clear the sky."
"What remains when the fire has burned out?"
"The fire has burned out, but to dispel the darkness you must find the spark that remains." Which means (reference to two prophecies and end of Ash to Ash) I could fit Cinderstar to the fire-has-burned-out things but I still have to deal with "what you find in the shadows." Maybe multi-Clan POVs could help? I don't want to make it too complicated… |

Ooh. I haven't read HJ yet, so I think that's the first time I've heard the spark prophecy. Does Erin Hunter mean Sparkpelt?? It sounds stupid but maybe?? Idk. XD |

It being a reference to Sparkpelt is the most obvious explanation, and based on previous prophecies it's probably correct. It's not confirmed, so maybe it's somehow not her, but that is the consensus, at least for now. |

I wouldn't name her Sparkkit though
Downstream is 100% a replacement Dovewing, but she technically isn't Dovewing...
now, no matter what I did it would be contrived, but I definitely wouldn't make Sparkpelt a part of the story
maybe even just make the fire metaphorical I don't know
