The large man stood quite silently as he had been looking around for the red haired woman, but as time went by it soon turned out the elf would find him first. He hadn't really studied up on her at all besides the drawing in name. He knew she was an archer of considerable skill as he was of a blade however past that he knew nothing. His green eyes looked at the girl calmly as she spoke. He crossed his arms as he gave the girl a once over. He figured she'd be less built being an archer, but it was quite odd that this would be his company for a considerable amount of time. Nero was the type of guy to hang around people who shared similar qualities which in this village was a very few select people, and even the ones he did hang with weren't anywhere close to being like him otherwise there would surely be more than two people willing to take the exam. In fact the few people he did hang out with had been fellow farmers who even still he didn't along with as he himself didn't seem the type to farm, and that would be quite right. He didn't like doing it at all, but it was one of the few jobs that would help keep up his body mass.
It was a few moments before he chose to respond to the elf as he had calmly finished his analysis. "An elf, huh?" He merely said as he turned his gaze to her ears, he wasn't the type of person to hate on other races it was merely he didn't run into the few none humans in the village very often. He knew one Mir'qe though they weren't on friendly terms as the young lad would get mad as Nero always asked why he wasn't man enough to take the exam. "Didn't think you'd be so..... thin." He added as he turned to walk assuming she'd follow. He really didn't know how to spend this day, he had been told from the few living heroes of light who chose the guard position that his group had spent the day just hanging out like friends however Nero wasn't one to just chill with someone he liked to be doing something that was at least semi-productive.
However as he continued walking he suddenly came up with a topic, and looked back at Irwen. "So you're pretty good with a bow, right?" He asked as they reached a small clearing upon a hill that overlooked the nearby forest. "How about we go for a hunt?" He offered coming up with the small idea of a friendly little sit down meal, but with them working together to put it together instead of buying the meat, and herbs. "A good way to see each other in action." He stated rubbing his chin slightly as he looked at the forest. This would be how they would be eating the most time on the journey anyways as he doubted they have many settlements to stop at while going to Uldah. "A pre-exam before the real deal." He stated his green gaze turning back to her wondering how she'd respond.
