No one is innocent, and no one who attempts to escape corruption survives long.
You are an elite member of the Dregs, one of the most notorious gangs in Ketterdam. As such, you have a lot more to worry about than getting swindled at a local gambling house. Staying alive is your top priority, and around Ketterdam, there's only one rule gangsters bother to follow: trust no one.

The Exchange: a courtyard where merchers buy and sell shares. It is one of the few locations not claimed by any of the gangs in the city.
The Lid: the area closest to the harbors.
The Barrel: the entertainment district of Ketterdam.
West Stave: consists mainly of brothels, including the Menagerie, also known as the House of Exotics, and the House of the White Rose.
East Stave: consists of gambling houses, including the Crow Club, known by many as the Dregs' base of operations, and Emerald Palace.
Fifth Harbor: area controlled by the Dregs.

River Talbot has lead the Dregs since he was sixteen years old - a feat not to be taken lightly. Known for his ruthless & manipulative nature, no one with half a brain & a few years in the Barrel is keen on picking a fight. River is in charge of an elite, six man collection of the most noteworthy Dregs affiliates. He uses this small team to do the Dregs' dirty work - whether that be eliminating a threat, gathering information, or performing some of the most radical crimes Ketterdam has ever seen. River's quick wit enables him to remain in indisputable control of the Dregs - he has yet to be challenged for his position. However, his lack of sympathy also makes it harder for him to connect with others and is increasingly withdrawn as a result. He's not the strongest member of his team, but he makes up for lack of brute strength with his sharp mind and quick reflexes. Don't try to pin him down - he always has a trick up his sleeve. He's not afraid of a fight but is nearly impossible to rile. River earned his title as "the thief" because of his notorious habit to pick-pocket and his skill of being able to open any lock or escape and confinement. Don't get too close - you might just lose everything you value, and then some.

Lily, despite her title and life, is often rather innocent. When she isn't fighting for her life that is. On the job, she is as serious as it gets. She becomes almost a completely different person. It's kind of scary how quickly her personality changes. She has been with the gang since she was about seventeen, maybe a bit younger. Her trust is not one to be broken, despite the innocent act she puts on she will not hesitate to destroy someone with the weaknesses they have given her. Of course she only does this when someone really messes with her trust. She turned to crime when he mother was hospitalized, she has changed her last name so to push away the connection with her mother, whom stays in the hospital on account of her critical condition. Her nickname comes from two places, half is from the web of connections and secrets she has; the other half it thanks to her ability to fold herself in way most people can't. Growing up with dance and gymnastics in her life has become a great asset to her job.

Skylar may not look very strong, but don't let her appearance fool you. Her mere name is plenty enough to scare grown men; if she shows up where you live you should start running. She's been the Dregs' muscle since she was seventeen; before then, she worked the streets by night, fighting in illegal underground rings to make money and maybe beating up a few people if people paid her enough. It was this way that she earned a name for herself on the streets, and also how she first met River, around the time when he became the Dregs' leader. She never really wanted to turn to a life of crime-- all she wanted was to make some money to support her family, which lives in poverty, but when you're as poor as she is, you don't have much of a choice sometimes. She has a strong sense of loyalty, and she'd never betray her family or the Dregs.

Jonathan Stein | twenty-one years old | male
Jonathan is somewhat of an interesting character. He's usually distrusting of anyone, not to mention grumpy. Being around-- as he dubs anyone more than a couple years younger than him-- "kids" all the time doesn't help. However, witt is one of his redeeming qualities. He's quick with a word and quick with a bullet. That is, from afar. He gets fussy about "moving targets" when he's fighting too close, but that doesn't mean he isn't capable of putting one down; it might take a bit longer, though. That said, he has a Hell of an aim from afar, and he has a very intense concentration. This focus could be for anything, but once he's concentrated on something: say, trying to unknot a tiny string, you'd basically have to shake him out of it. Jonathan doesn't mind taking orders from people younger than him; what bothers him is being insulted. You should be careful trying to fight him in a battle of witts, because quick with his words, he's also quick to threaten people with violence. He doesn't often back up those threats unless he thinks he can get away with it, but concidering he kills people for a living, it's not often that he doesn't get away with it.

The Thief: slight on their feet and silent as death, the thief is beat only by the Spider when it comes to sneaking around. This member is cunning and sly, and can rob you of everything valuable you carry before you blink. The Thief has a distinct lack of sympathy which can impair their relationships with their peers. Though they won't offer easily won praise, they can be fully relied on to always have a trick or two up their sleeve.

This member is in charge of gathering information on anyone and everyone: there's no telling what will turn out to be perfect blackmail. They likely know every dark secret you have but can be trusted with the information. However, if a promise to tis person is broken, there is no chance of reconciliation.
The Despot: as the name suggests, this person is known for their brute strength and commanding presence, and is a major source of both offense and defense for the rest of the team. They are often used for sheer intimidation. This member is probably loyal to a fault and strong in his/her beliefs. This person is not suited for silent missions or surprise attacks.
The Sharpshooter: a prime long distance fighter. This person has a keen eye and a keen wit, and is reliable in tight situations. However, they tend to be the first to break under pressure. This person also will probably have a good sense of humor.
The Demolitionist: unpredictable in the best way. This member has a knack with everything involving explosions, and has a good mind for planning and setting traps. They are probably extremely smart and resourceful. However, they are likely physically weaker than other members.
The Mender: gifted in the art of medicine and anatomy. This person can tend to any wound with confidence and surety. They are likely very intelligent and a calming presence when there is only chaos. This person is relied on heavily by others as a confidant and friend. However, this person is less useful in a all-out fight and can become a potential liability.
