➳ Jonathan just quirked his eyebrows. "I don't need any help," he answered, becoming a little more defensive. This was his ploy; to add effect, he shrugged. "I doubt you're any better than my teachers."
He sat forward a little, staring at the transcript. Oh… He hadn't checked his grades in a while. While he knew they had to be bad with the recent grades he'd been getting back, he didn't know they were that bad. Well, maybe he did, but some part of him still wanted to be a good kid that made his-- now deceased… no, murdered-- parents happy.

[ What region should it take place in o: my personal favorites are johto and unova but i'm cool with anything also we should come up with names for the bad and good teams.. forgive me i'm such a sucker for details and do you want a character form? ] We should do unova also I'm not sure what we should name the groups. And I usually describe in rp so we can do that.

Well, maybe he did, but some part of him still wanted to be a good kid that made his-- now deceased… no, murdered-- parents happy. "Well I'm not the one that decided you needed help, the teachers did." Wesley said as he looked at him. "And I don't know if I'll be any better than your teachers, but I sure can try." he said to him. He knew that Jonathan had bad grades, but he didn't think he had a bad attitude as well. He sure was in for a challenge with this student. Why did he have to have good grades and be volunteered for tutoring? Why did he have to be a good student? Well he better say some things before Jonathan starts to get out of hand and unteachable. "Look, I can tell you don't want really want to be here, but if your grades don't improve and you don't become a better student you will be coming back here everyday until then. So would you like to cooperate? Or do you want to be unproductive and waste time?" he asked him

➳ Jonathan sighed at the mini-ramble. Just because his teachers thought he should be here, didn't make them any more right. In fact, in his opinion, they were just trying to pretend to care about him when really, they just didn't want a "problem kid."
"Really, I'd rather waste time. Better than doing work," he answered. It wasn't a lie. He'd rather not work than have this "tutor" talk at him the whole time about subjects he didn't understand and really didn't care to at this point. His grades were kind of un-salvageable, even if he tried really hard at this point.

[ Unova it is c: would you rather our characters be in a big town or small town? i guess for the bad guy team we could do Phantom Guard (sounds mysterious enough) and the good guys could be called the Resistance ]

Wesley let out a small sigh then ran a hand through his dark brown hair. "Fine, if you aren't going to work then I will. I still have my own homework to do." he said to him then reached down and into his bag beside him.
He would much rather do his homework at home, but since he had agreed to tutor Jonathan he had to stay there the whole hour before he could to go home. At least now he actually looked like he was doing work instead of doing nothing. He brought his materials out to do his homework and set them out on the desk in front of him. ~~~~ The town size doesn't really matter to me. And the team names sound good to me:))

➳ hm. idk what creature to make him. Ideas? }}
Jonathan sat impatiently, trying to hold out, but that only lasted for about half a minute before he sighed. Fine. He wasn't going to mess around; Wesley was no fun, so he might as well actually get some work done.
He pulled out his workbook for US History, his worst (in his opinion) subject. He just wasn't interested, and he couldn't memorize anything for long. He mostly just crammed before the test, but it usually ended up being on the wrong things.
As a bonus, now he never studied for anything! He bubbled in whatever he thought was right, or guessed, and turned in the test early. He usually flunked, yes, but at least he got to sleep the rest of the class.

(Hmmm, vampire? Werewolf? Shapeshifter? Some sort of demon?)
Wesley brought out the sheet that he needed to work on. He quickly jotted down his name and started to answer a question on his paper. He got about three words down before Jonathan gave in and brought out his history workbook.
He glanced up at the boy across from him. "Are you actually going to cooperate now?" He asked him as he set down his pencil. He had never really dealt with little children in his life, but he imagined this is what it was like. You have someone who won't listen to you and when you finally give up and ignore them, then they start to do what they're told.

➳ sorry for not replying for so long! I think I'll go with some sort of higher-ranked demon, probably a crossroads demon }}
Jonathan sighed. "Depends. If you don't act like a sodding know-it-all, then yes," he agreed. He opened the textbook to the lastest chapter and pulled out the timeline review they had to do, where he had to fill in dates and events according to "themes" in history.
He had no idea how to do the assignment, though, because he wasn't sure which themes to use, and he was too lazy to look back in the textbook for dates and event ideas.
"Want to do this for?" he asked with a smirk. He knew that wasn't was this program was for, but it was worth a jab.

(It's fine, I have been pretty busy with school with lately and haven't had much time to get on the forums. And sounds good :3 )
Wesley rolled his eyes slightly at his first comment. "Fine, if that's what it will take for you to start doing work." he said then sat up a bit straighter in his chair and watched him as he pulled out his textbook and the worksheet that he had to do. He placed his elbows on the the table and leaned across the table slightly to get a better look at the work that he had to do.
He looked up at him when he said his second comment and let out a small laugh. "Nice try, but you are the one that is going to do the work. I'm just here to help and if you need any questions answered." he said then leaned away and settled back into his chair.
"About the worksheet, it's pretty simple. All the answers should be in the book, you just have to look for them or actually read the section." he said to him.

➳ Jonathan rolled his eyes. "I told you not to be a know-it-all. Are you going to at least help me find the dates?" he complained. He opened his textbook, flipping the pages until he reached the chapter they were on. He skimmed the first page, then flipped on until he found what he was looking for.
"This," he said, pointing to a sentence about the Congressional Congress. "What category would I include that under?" His teacher hadn't been very clear on what each category meant, or where he should put events. What if it fell under two? Or didn't fit any? Maybe Wesley knew what the teacher wanted.

"I'm not being a know-it-all." Wesley muttered then watched as the teen across from opened his textbook and began flipping through the pages. He leaned forward slightly to look at the sentence he pointed to then glanced over his worksheet before looking back up at him.
"First, I want to hear what category you think it should be put into. I just want to know your thought process before I step in to help." He said to him. He didn't want to tell him the answer directly, and he at least wanted Jonathan to put some sort of effort into this worksheet. Plus if he was partially right it would be easy just to step in and fix the part of his answer that was wrong.

➳ Jonathan sighed. "Politics…?" he answered, though it was obvious he was unsure. It seemed like the most reasonable answer, because Congress made laws and things. That meant it was politics, right?
He knew at least that much about the government. After all, aside from the occasional— more than occasional— murder, he also had to follow the laws. He had to come to school (which he hated) as well as pay taxes when he bought things (that was also stupid.) He couldn't vote, though, which sucked, but Jonathan didn't really care for all that anyway.
Jonathan shrugged to confirm his doubt in the answer and looked to Wesley. Somehow, he still needed confirmation. Funny, a crossroads demon seeking acknowledgement from a hunter over a school project, though as far as Jonathan saw it, it was nothing funny. He wasn't even thinking about being a demon at the moment. He was thinking about how stupid taxes were and how stupid this school project was.

Wesley made his way into the library after school, something he has been doing everyday since he accepted the task of tutoring Jonathan. Someone he actually was starting to like, as a friend that is. And someone he didn't mind torturing. Once the had gotten a routine down, things started to go well between them. He made his way to their usually table and sat down on his side of the table. He leaned his elbows up on the table and wondered what subject he was going to help with today. Possibly math, since they haven't worked on that subject very much.
(Sorry if it is kind of short)

➳ no it's fine! I was actually thinking math before I read the end lol }}
Jonathan gathered his things as the bell rang. Before he could leave, however, his teacher stopped him. He was expecting her to tell him that he hadn't been paying enough attention or that he was too loud during class. Instead, she commented on his improvement. He couldn't help but smile as he made his way down to the library.
He hadn't quite decided on what subject he should focus on today, but considering it, he did have a lot of math homework due tomorrow that he could use some help on. While his grades wouldn't be A's overnight, his teachers were noticing improvements in his attitude, and his homework was (mostly) getting done. Yeah, he still didn't understand everything, but it was better than before.
He took a seat next to Wesley, smiling. "You ready? I got a load of math homework for ya," he teased. He pulled out the worksheets and lay them on the table, pulling his messy notes out next.

Wesley looked up at Jonathan as he walked over to the table. "I'm as ready as I'll ever be." He said with a smile then glanced down at his notes and the homework he needed to do. "What math class are you in again?" He questioned as he looked back up to him. Although he has been seeing Jonathan for a couple days now, he often forgot what courses the other boy was taking. If he was being he didn't know much about Jonathan except what his nane was and that he needed some tutoring. Maybe he should make an effort to get to know him one of these days.
