"Do not underestimate the sith my friend. They are dangerous and even an appentice is a worthy opponent. Many of our brethren have fall by her hand. Masters included." Kip replied heavily. He could feel the difficulty of the mission, "however, the council would not send us if they did not believe we couldn't take her. Just remember it is as Master Yoda said to me as a padawan, 'If you go into battle with defeat in mind you will find nothing else"" He grinned as he thought back to his padawan days.
(just for the record. Yoda is not his master, but Yoda does teach a lot of padawans.)

Taïr gave a small laugh, though it was not out of disrespect."I understand, Master Kip. My job is dedicated to eradicating the Sith." He said. "I don't take them as opponents lightly." The Sentinel added with a noticeable drop in his tone of voice as he thought to previous battles with users on the dark side of the Force.
"What is she even doing on the planet?" Taïr asked, a confused expression crossing his face. "Last time I checked it wasn't a separatist base." He added, looking over at Kip as he waited for a response.

"We aren't sure, but one of our fellow Jedi were stationed there. Last we heard from them they were talking about Assajj. After that they cut all communication, so we are going to find Ventress." Kip replied somberly. "The council thought my experience as a sentinel would come in handy."

Taïr nodded solemnly, not having anything else to say. Ventress had a similar dueling style to his in the fact they preferred two regular length, curved lightsaber instead of a shoto in the offhand.
[Skip to arrival on the planet?]

Sure)
Kip got off the ship and smiled. "Been a while since I've been here. Not since I first trained my padawan." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Our target has definitely been here. I feel her sinister presence." He didn't want to say her name in case there were informants around. He looked at Taiir, "Do your thing."

[What kind of planet should it be? Like, inhabited city or rural or forest type]
Taïr looked around them at the planet and nodded. "We should start from where the last Jedi were. We can get the best trail of her from there, and clean up the information left over." He said, turning and starting down a path that would lead to the hastily made Jedi base that was probably something small and insignificant. There wasn't a huge pull for big bases for temporary stations.

He said, turning and starting down a path that would lead to the hastily made Jedi base that was probably something small and insignificant. There wasn't a huge pull for big bases for temporary stations. (I'm thinking it should be a really busy urban planet.) Kip followed the sentinel jedi. He quietly surveyed the busy city. He could sense the presence of the sith assassin, and he knew that when they found her the right would be brutal. He quickly weaved in and out of the busy path.

Taïr headed down the street before turning off into an alleyway, looking over at shoulder at their surroundings as they went. He pulled his hood up as they krept into the shadows, the alleyway getting darker as they advanced. He took multiple turns and at times doubled back to make sure that if anyone was following them they wouldn't be able to for very long.
They reached the old hideout of the previously stationed Jedi and went inside, looking around the dimly lit room. "Not much here." Taïr commented, looking over the damaged communication center- it looked like it had been slashed with a lightsaber. Taïr reached into a nearby drawer and pulled out a data cartridge. He wasn't sure there would be anything meaningful left on it, but it was best not to leave it behind. He stuffed the cartridge into a side pocket.

Kip ooked around, "This place is a disaster." He looked around and opened the bathroom, the body of a now deceased Jedi fell out. Kip let out a curse. "She didn't even have the respect to bury him." he took his fallen comerade out to be buried.

Sorry when I saw it last night my eyes were in so much pain bc of daylight so I couldn't respond ]
Taïr was glad he had his hood up- he probably would've become sick if he saw the lifeless body. Sith were so cruel- the war was so cruel. Taïr hated it, and with the base of being a Jedi Knight before it started, the fact that no one but the council had a say in whether or not they fight. Master Windu only went to Geonosis to rescue Master Kenobi and his wayward padawan- not to start a war (though Taïr didn't blame Master Windu for the wars start).
The Sentinel continued to shift through drawers, deciding it was better for him to not open any other doors and get the same surprise Kip had. After searching thoroughly, Taïr headed outside. "We've done all we can here. I can call one of the clone trooper squadrons to come and bring them home." Taïr said to Kip, pointing over at the fallen Jedi. "Right now the Sith are our focus." He added, looking around at the tops of the dark buildings, deciding where to go.

Kips face was now serious and melancholic. There were rumors in the Jedi Order about his serious side and how it was a terrifying thing to experience. Kip had just gotten serious. "Asajj must be stopped. Come lets get going my friend." there wasn't anger in his voice just calm and cold determination. His friendly and goofy facade had been dropped and he was now the battle hardened Jedi Master that many in the galaxy feared. His hands were balled into fists. He let out a long sigh and looked at his feet. "They wanted to send me here but I thought my efforts would best be spent elsewhere. Our comerade died because I didnt think this planet was important. Had I been here, I might have been able to take her."

Taïr noticed the change in Kip, and to say the least it disturbed him. That and the height difference. Taïr made a mental note not to get on his bad side, standing off to the left of the Jedi Master as he recalled his past mistake. "It wasn't your fault, so there is no use in blaming yourself." The Sentinel said, shutting the door to the hideout with the Force before turning and heading off, having a path in mind for hunting down Ventress. He called up one of the clone trooper squads that was waiting on the ship via his telecom and told them their task, talking quietly as he went.

Kip let out a sigh and nodded silently. He took his companion's word to heart. He tightened his fist and looked at Taiir ' "Do you have a path in mind? We still need to find out why she is on this planet." He began to think of possible targets or items of interest. He took a deep breath and then closed his eyes. He used the force to help him learn the Siths goals, "Lightsaber Crystals. I had forgotten there were crystal mines here." He said quietly.
(i hope that's ok if not I will fix it,)

[Eh; typically kyber crystals are found on a select planet and heavily guarded. But since its just us two I dont really mind having it be the plot behind the sith activity on the planet; though it would suggest that the crystals are farther down near the core of the planet.]
Taïr nodded, pointing east. "There's a stronger Force connection over there, and unless theres some undiscovered kids around here it's most likely Ventress. Or the crystals." The Sentinel said, adding the second part after a pause when Kip mentioned Ventress' objective. "Either way it gets us where we are needed." He added, continuing to head the way he directed. If there are kyber crystals here... Then why didn't the Council send more Jedi? Or did they just consider this place a second best compared to the icebound caves of Ilum. Taïr thought to himself.

"It isn't a big crystal mine, and it was only just discovered. The council only told the Jedi Masters. We thought that the with wouldn't learn about them." Kip replied not breaking his serious tone. He headed toward the force connection. Taiir mentioned, he pulled out his savers and prepared for a fight.

Taïr glanced back at Kip but didn't respond. He held off of taking out his own lightsabers, having a fighting style driven by stealth; Walking around with glowing light sticks wasn't a part of that definition. He kept his eyes peeled on the darkness surrounding them, looking through the shadows by the using the Force to bounce off of objects.
[do you want to rp Ventress, or should I? Or we could both rp her, each in our own posts]

Lets both do it.)
Kip heard the sound of lightsabers starting up to his left and quickly rolled out of the way right as Ventress came out of the shadows she slices the empty space where Kip had been standing. Kip took a swing at her and she blocked it. He stood at least 6" over her. She swang her sabers at his legs hoping to catch him off guard but he quickly delected the blow.

Taïr moved off to the side when Ventress appeared, grabbing his lightsabers. He didn't open them however, but ran into the darkness, circumventing one of the nearby alleys and coming up behind Ventress. Taïr released the two blades from his lightsabers, one orange and one yellow, matched with Kip's and Ventress' own blades the dark area was lit with a dark auburn hue. The Sentinel charged at the Sith, aiming for the center of her back, but was blocked off as she turned to stand between him and Kip, blocking the blow with her own lightsaber.
Ventress stood between the two Jedi now, a lightsaber drawn at both. Taïr met Kip's eyes as he lunged for the Sith's arm, hoping to disarm her or at least take most of her attention for the stronger Jedi to get a blow.

Kip swing one blade at her legs and another at he chest. Asajj quickly force pushed Kip back into the wall. He hit his head and his ears started ringing. He tried to get up but fell.

Taïr ran to the side before using form VI, grabbing Ventress and throwing her back down the street. The Jedi went and stood in front of Kip, standing in a defense form, his lightsabers out in front of him. "You alright?" Taïr asked Kip quickly, keeping his eyes on Ventress as she stood up and began to charge at them. Taïr ran forward and met Ventress' lightsabers with his own, the two caught in a stalemate as they met each others strength.

Kip shook his head and regained focus. "Im fine. Just hold her off." He quickly turned off his sabers and ducked into the shadows. His plan was to flank her. He used the force and completely concealed his presence. He waited for the right time and eventually Ventress chuckled. "Your friend has abandoned you. He's gone. I mean I don't feel his presence anymore. You are all alone Jedi." She said harshly. She focused All her power on the Jedi in front of her, and Kip quickly darted forth one saber out his other hand had a dart in it. He quickly locked blades with Asajj and used misdirection to put the dart in her. The dart had a sedative in it.

Taïr watched Kip go, holding Ventress where she was. He knew what Kip was doing- being a spy for the Republic meant being invisible to everyone and hiding in the darkness. And holding the same position for hours on end (the only part of the job Taïr hated). "Well I think I'll manage just fine." The Sentinel answered, still keeping her at bay until Kip showed up and used a dart on her.
Taïr backed up, letting Ventress fall to the ground. He closed his lightsabers and put them back on his belt, looking over at Kip. Personally, he would've just killed her. That was his job, but Kip was the head Jedi on the mission, so Taïr didn't say anything.

Kip looked down at the now unconcious assassin. "I have some questions for her. I could have killed her, but I don't think that is best. Right now all I can think is she should be dead." Kip started to lose his serious expression and began to regain his goofy charm. "You know Taiir. It has been 5 years since i have used that ability. My master was one of the best sentinels of his time. He died on Geonosis. He rode me until I got it right 10/10 times. Guess it stuck though. He did his job well." He quickly restrained and took Her light sabers Ventress and waited for her to wake.

"Good luck getting anything out of her." Taïr said with a short laugh, shaking his head. He crossed his arms over his chest, leaning on his right heel as he listened to Kip. He nodded in response, but not saying anything about his own background of learning the technique. "As a Sentinel it's crucial." Taïr commented, looking down at Ventress. She seems to be waking up, though very slowly.

Kip crouched down and smiled at her. "Hello beautiful. Can I ask you a couple questions? And then I will let you be in your way." he said politely. "I will answer none of your questions Jedi scum." she replied spirit. "Great! Let's get started." he replied as of she had said yes. "Why are you here"

Ventress replied like Taïr thought she would. If getting answers out of Sith were easy, then there would be a whole lot less Jedi dedicated to the task. Taïr let Kip do the talking, keeping an eye on their surroundings in case any Sith back-up or droids showed up. Last think they needed were B2 battle droids.
As suspected, Ventress didn't answer Kip's question, only muttered something else about how the Jedi were going to 'go down'.

Kip sighed and said "fine have it your way." he cracked his knuckles and put her in an arm lock. "Why are you here?" she screamed in pain. "I Will not tell you suck "I hate doing this. I really do. Fine just answer this. So do you have any droids nearby?"

Taïr watched, a blank expression on his face. He tried to examine Ventress' mind, looking for any part that wasn't being guarded as she tried to keep her secrets to herself. Finding only useless things, Taïr turned toward Kip. "We should just take her as a prisoner and let the Detention Center have some fun." He suggested, shrugging his shoulders.

"Call up the troopers. We are now escorting her to prison." Kip replied. He was frustrated but not too worried. He kept his eye on Ventress and waited for her to make a move. His sabers ready to go if she tried to escape.
